After several inquiries I have designed this version of a yarn unwinder (for knitting) which is made from inexpensive soft wood with simple hand tools (no lathe required) like the earlier versions. This version has no fancy tapers or shapes that need a lathe. This can be made for a few dollars out of scrap wood. To see how it’s made click on the following link: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B_bVeq7Czgw9THh3aWpVREZFNmM/view?usp=sharing
This versions and several other yarn unspoolers can be purchased for SRCDShop on Etsy at: www.etsy.com/shop/SRCDShop

Here are plans and directions for 12′L X 8′H X 2′ thick movable display walls. We made five for a Graphic Art show but realized that these walls could be scaled to 8′ or 10′ long and used as partitions or a way to add extra wall space at a home or studio. These cost about $350 a piece and take about 30 hours to make. Follow the link to see the plans and directions. https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B_bVeq7Czgw9bTR0MHFpRHRrY1k

If you think all I do is make projects, how about this...? I also manage a group of swans on our community lakes. I’ve been asked many times for information regarding the care and management of these beautiful birds that naturally keep Canada Geese away, so if you and/or your community are looking for information on what it takes to manage swans, here is a document to get you started. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B_bVeq7Czgw9VF9vZS1xVWo0ak0/view?usp=sharing

Here is a DYI frame to hold a camera (here doing a video) at a consistent height, but must move smoothly over a 5 foot square are. This project as the making the credits section of a movie. Credits were positioned in several areas of the desktop (typewriter, pad, newspaper) and the camera moved from one area to the next. Two cranks mover the camera from one location to the next. We used 1/2″ EMT for the rails, but this could be increased to 3/4″ EMT for a heavier camera. Pulleys were 1-1/2″ patio door wheels (Home Depot) pressed onto wooden dowels. Project cost less than $50 and can be disassembled for transporting.
