any of the SSOblr people heard of Better SSO? A 2017 version of SSO that apparently works but is giving a ton of people false positive trojans? I’m soooo intrigued by it so much so that I’ve taught myself how to use a Virtual Machine just in case I ever wanted to try it. I probably won’t but yk.

two paths :
actual criticism of sso for how dog shit, predatory and opposed to having a good gameplay loop their whole monetization system actually is
or
endlessly complain how the new horse doesn't move/look "realistic/good" enough (it literally looks fine)

i feel like i've seen so many people criticise about the norikers,
apparently they look worse and less detailed than other recent horses, even seen somone say they look like gen 2
am i really the only one who thinks they are some of the best looking horses in the game??? the only thing i hate is the sun bleached (?) manes on some of the coats
other than that they have a fantastic blend of realism vs cartoony style, and their animation feels both smooth and impactful, which is exactly what they should be
i feel crazy, like are we seeing the same horse?

#some people too obsessed with “realistic” horse in a fairly cartoony game#when the coats have more nad more shading and detail they just start looking crusty and out of place#get your realism fetishism paws of my cartoon horses you animals!#/j kinda#star stable#sso#star stable online

the most frustrating thing about star stable is that they could have made the wardrobe update (and the reaction to it) so much smoother if they just implemented the most basic inventory management features that every game with a inventory/storage system has had for like a decade, but they just didn't for some mysterious reason
released something that feels half-baked, promised more and seemingly moved on to do anything else but that
#we were supposed to get more stuff for char creation but that has yet to happen as well#the whole ui is haphazardly being updated so it's all over the place#we still can't abandon quests for some reason#the makeup inventory has limited slots so u can't have all of it nor can you sell it to make space#just release one tiny “quality of life” update a week#is it really that hard?#star stable#star stable online#sso

Really like the Silverglade stables update, before it felt a lot more like individual non-related activity stations in each others vicinity.
Now it actually feels like one big estate. It's very good.
#gonna take some time to get used to navigating it tho#and learn the new race layouts#0 downsides otherwise#star stable#star stable online#sso
