I finally watched Wakanda Forever and (predictably) loved Talokan and these precious idiots. I just know Namora and Attuma grew up rivals and ended up as the best warriors. Attuma being so much taller than Namora is so great bc of how she bosses him around and he just complies kajshdkaj I loveeeeee

(I really love that they keep their skin color in the water, it’s genius that they were true to the comics with the blue skin but only when they’re out of their world)

fia’s oc clutter corner ep 1

fern is heavy on the mind today folks specifically how he looks in different aus, i like keeping his original hairstyles still in the loop!! in canon his hair is medium length but it also varies to his mid back!

i love thinking about him going about his day oh my god his ROUTINE ITS SO BORING BUT ITS ORGANIZED AND SIMPLE hes so cute good gawd ok back on topic- hes doing quite a bit, working while also going to school while doing a million hobbies at once because he likes to keep busy,, him coming home to a boyfriend and a bunch of giant dogs is literally heaven

i wont talk about it much here for now but i think about his anxiety and how he navigates life with that, and yk his other issues but it’s fascinating to focus on what his strengths are in coping and what he needs more support with, i think about his meltdowns and what he does when he starts panicking a lot

hard topic switch UMM his friendship with dembe is everything to me they met when bebe was traveling and essentially dembe stayed the night at a complete stranger’s house bc he was drunk as hell and fern had to take care of this weirdo bc he didnt wanna leave him outside to fend for himself!! there’s different perspectives of this story lol

speaking of,, dembe got his first boat when he was 15, it was a gift from his brother and he also taught him how to sail! he’s by the docks very often and ive established before that his favorite spot is a park bench thats looking out into the bay under the shade of a big willow tree,, when fern visits from that cold ass mountain town they sit there and talk for hours on end

they know basically everything ab each other at this point and have had their ups and downs and fights themselves,, but my gawd did they get thru it together!!!

i specifically wanna think ab them more in my secret agent au that theyre both in,, and subsequently actor au because i can already see the edits of their friendship from the shows they’re in together as well as the interviews hee hee

I’ve been watching lots of interviews with Tenoch Huerta and I just feel so happy hearing him use his own accent when speaking in English. It might seem a bit silly and unimportant but to me it means everything.

Since I was little, while I was learning to speak English as a second language, I was always taught that I should use the British variety and accent because it was the ‘correct’ one. Whenever I used my own accent, I was reprimanded and told that no native English speaker would understand me if I spoke like that. This led to endless hours of practicing and feeling angry and ashamed of myself because I couldn’t pronounce certain words in the ‘right’ way. Thus, when I finally spoke to a native English speaker, I felt extremely self-conscious and insecure of the way I spoke a language that I had been studying for almost half of my life.

So, seeing actors like him (and also Diego Luna) being part of huge franchises and using their own accent and actually being proud of it means the whole world to me. It makes me feel less self-conscious and scared of speaking English. It is so unrealistic that we are expected to speak the same way a native English speaker does when we are not native English speakers. Why should I speak the same way an English person does if I’m not English? Why should I speak the same way an American person does if I’m not American?
