My inbox says that I have received two asks, however, when I've tried looking for those asks, they're vanished.
So... If you've sent me an ask anytime recently (or even in a little while, seeing as I don't know how long these asks have been vanished, I never got a notification or anything...) please resend them!!

Can you believe some people don't have daemons. They're just out there rawdogging consciousness.

Okay. This might be a bit confusing, but oh well. I'm just writing this for documentation purposes (because I know I'll forget given time).
I've had these two co-workers ("headmates") who I would say function a bit differently from my soulbonds. And who I may have been confusing with my soulbonds?
The first one, and the one I was most obviously aware of, was the Conductor. (Important thing to remember is that my "headspace" is literally just. A train. As well as a train station. But everything else is "temporary" or can be changed or moved at any moment.) She acts just like how her title would suggest: she's a robot, and she conducts the train. At first, I thought maybe she was something like an NPC. It'd make logically sense, right? Because trains need people to drive them. And she wasn't exactly full of personality; she never talked to anyone.
The part where it got confusing for me, though, was that... I conduct the train most of the time. She only appears to drive the train when I (in the real world) start to retreat inside myself, in some way. The biggest example being my maladaptive daydreams; but also when I just try to explore the headspace more.
So this lead me to categorize her as like... The mental/headspace embodiment of my dissociation. She never really takes over my body, like how "traditional" alters sometimes can do during dissociation, but she is probably the entity that is most similar to an alter than anyone else.
The second co-worker, who for now has been nicknamed "John" (don't ask, we just thought it was funny) has only shown itself relatively recently. Specifically when I was having a bad pain flare-up in my legs. It looks like this... Weird fleshy blob creature. Very "The Thing"-esque.
Anyways, it is... Loud. It yells and screams when I'm hungry or hurting, or even when I just don't feel very good. (Which when you're already fighting off a killer migraine, obviously isn't too fun.) Like the Conductor it doesn't seem to have much personality outside of that, but it does interact with us... If yelling could constitute interaction.
So, this creature I've started thinking of as being the embodiment of bodily wants and needs and anything like that. Yes, that's a long title, but I don't really know how to shorten it.
This new emerging "pattern" has also made me think about D'endrrah a bit differently. She's still obviously a daemon (and she will probably never be or become anything else), but in a similar sort of way, she's also an embodiment of something for me. Specifically stories.
And this gets to the "I may have been confusing them for soulbonds" thing. Previously I've said labels like multiself and polymind might fit me, but I was also thinking solely in reference to my soulbonds. For my soulbonds, these don't fit, because they're not "me". Even if they've come from my stories, they've separated off from that so much, to the point where they are more like their own people. But these "embodiments"? They are still definitely me, or at least a part of me. Which I... Cannot say for my soulbonds.
Anyways. That's my update from the train. I hope this made some sense, at least!

It's really weird how my memories seem to directly contradict the new "canon" revolving around Adytum. Specifically, the updated Daevite hub mentions that it was originally a Daevite city, before being taken over and renamed(? I think) by the nälkä. However I... Don't recall anything like that.
The place that would eventually by known as "Adytum" in my memories, was originally just a spot where people would be carried as far away as possible from the frontlines. It was not really any city at any point during the war. It only became a pseudo city AFTER the war. And even then, it wasn't known as Adytum for a long time, because...
When we said we were from "Adytum", was more referring to Ion's ideals, specifically Adytum was what the new world Ion wanted to create would be named. When we said we were from Adytum, it meant that we believed that Ion would succeed.
But, looking back on it now, I can see how that might've... Confused others into thinking Adytum was an actual city... Doubly so when it did become one.

I've been really enjoying watching playthroughs of this one specific game called Nuclear Nightmare. It is very obviously heavily inspired by The Thing, so of course I'd probably like it. But, I haven't been enjoying it much for the weird creatures to be honest, more just for its atmosphere and environment -- it really captures the feeling of being stuck in a neverending snow storm...

★ pastryverse
[pt: pastryverse /end pt]
a term similar to misceverse, however, it revolves around cakeverse instead. pastryverse is for those who perform a lifestyle with dynamics reminiscent of or directly from cakeverse. intended for alterhumans and neurodivergent folk, however it is open to everybody.
here's a rentry with a more in depth explanation. i also propose more terminology, including alternatives to preexisting terminology. also, there are more flags below the cut.
coined by us!
this was coined by a minor. please do not be weird on this post.
we do not consent to our creations being added to any wikipedia sites or reposted to other social media sites. anyone may use our terms and flags.

I've been looking through misceverse tags and seeing what people there have been doing, to get some inspiration for doing pastryverse -- but like, all the ideas I get, I've already BEEN doing.😭 Maybe it's because I'm already a baker (and so a lot of things I'm thinking of revolve around baking) but IDK. It's just kind of funny to me.

I find it interesting how I actually have an easier time putting spiritual experiences into words than I do psychological ones.
Spiritual (or any adjacent experiences) I simply have to give time and a little bit of energy to think about them, maybe write and rewrite some things, and then they'll be at least a little bit understandable to people.
But psychological things... I could think and ponder for as much as I want, but ultimately I can never come up with clear answers. There always seems to be something else I've forgotten about, maybe even something that contradicts what I said.
This especially can get iffy with trauma -- because my initial trauma response is always disassociation, which means my memory seems to fail me even more.

I'm going to echo Kossai's point here -- it's not so much that I'm going from human to nonhuman; but rather that I've always had a nonhuman body, and I am changing the physical perception of it so that people can see it better.
this stuff be talked about reminds me... how come physical therians dont call themselves transspecies? wouldnt that be more accurate? /genq

Okay I've literally been thinking about this All Day. I read some fanfiction, watched a video (ColeyDoesThings, who also included some of the original maker's answers to some questions), and have literally been Unable to stop thinking about it.
I have sorted myself as definitely being a fork -- I can't really see myself as a cake or even a bread bowl. I don't particularly like the idea of someone eating me but I love the idea of eating someone else.
I want to find out how to specifically incorporate this into my lifestyle but unfortunately unlike the misceverse tags, no one seems to actually be posting ideas or what they do in the tags. So um. Will probably just have to raw dog it.💀
Just found out about cakeverse (and specifically its misceverse equivalent, pastryverse) and like wow. This is omegaverse but like specifically geared for my fleshy taste!!
#Is it a bit impulsive to try and fit in something to my lifestyle I literally found out about this morning?#Maybe. BUT CONSIDER. I have always wanted to Eat People.#(Also completely unrelated but I may be shadow banned?)#(It's hard to tell but I'm not seeing myself showing up in the tags. So.)#(Someone please let me know if this is just a problem on my end.)

#This is only vaguely alterhuman related but. Whatever. I don't want to put it on my main.#For people who do practice pastryverse: how exactly do you do it?#I'm planning on reading some cakeverse fics (even though I'm not in... Literally any of those fandoms) just to understand it better but#I would like to know what any of you do. Specifically.

Some thoughts on my body being my "halkost", as I've begun settling into and embracing the idea more:
(Definition of "halkost": "A group of anomalous organic entities controlled by a Karcist." It is purposefully a very broad and vague term, but essentially, you could think of it as a fleshy hive mind.)
I am, physically, nonhuman. Well, technically, partially nonhuman. I'm a... Snake hybrid, of sorts. My body was born like this, but also made into it; by use of a halkost, which both kept certain snake aspects of myself, as well as disguised the parts that would single me out (such as physical scales, or a tail).
But, my body is still a halkost (I believe, given the very broad definition of halkost, any type of multicellular body could be); I have my blood, my stomach, my eyes and face, every muscle in my body. I cannot completely control or command these parts of my body, but nonetheless they are still fighting for me to live at every step of the way. Remembering that fact makes me feel much less alone, even though I am still in a human disguise. My body will remember, even if I somehow forget.
#fictionkin#holothere#otherkin#physically nonhuman#the tongue of the serpent speaks#A bit of a shorter post but. :P
