subject of discourse: who should have won: may or dawn?

disclaimer: now i’m gonna go ahead and acknowledge that we as RPers obviously have our biases for our characters. but what i CAN say is that i didn’t warm up to may until WELL after i watched DP and tbh i’ve held this opinion for some time. believe me or not–i’m going to go through this step-by-step.

what i want to do, to make this as simple as possible, is address the most common arguments (and also maybe some off the dash lol) i see for Dawn’s victory and tell you why they’re bologna.

Well, anon... this is a roleplay blog. That is to say: on this blog, I write May in-character and interact with other people who write their own (mostly Pokemon) faves in-character as well. Though, I’m not even certain that I needed to explain that to you, because you seem to be... somewhat roleplaying yourself? -shrugs-

As you likely noticed, May has been unfortunately inactive for quite some time, so I assume you were drawn here by her art post? That suddenly gained more popularity recently. That said, I’m not inactive overall--I can just be found on other rp blogs, which I will not be disclosing here. But anyway, enjoy your stay; but you know... don’t lurk around too much, okay? Because, well...

“I really like it,” Brendan complimented, giving a smile with a light blush. 

He waited for May to get her bag before heading off to route 103. The day was calm, few clouds in the sky, with a light breeze from the trees. It was perfect conditions for an outdoor lunch.

“Heh--thank you...!” There it was. But look--now Brendan wasn’t the only one blushing.”I’ll be right back!” The quicker she got going, the quicker they could head off, right?

“Okay! All set!” She made her bubbly return, offering a slight giggle before they officially set off. It was such a pretty day, wasn’t it? As she walked along, inching closer and closer--May couldn’t help her love-struck compulsion to reach out for her companion’s hand. How far were they from the picnic site, she wondered...?

“Eheh-!” A bit caught up in the complement, May momentarily forgot the usual thanks. Instead, she swung her foot, brushing her hair back while she focused on answering the question. “Yeah! I hadn’t been shopping in a while, so I thought I’d have some fun~!” (That was totally the whole reason.) “Uhm... lemmie just grab my bag, and we can check outta here, yeah?” Date or no date, she had been preparing to leave the Center regardless.

Okay. Not saying she was counting the days or anything? But she was definitely paying close attention to the calendar recently. Because today was Valentine’s Daaay! May had been so anxious to see what the day would bring for them! “Y-yeah! Yeah, totally, I’ll one-hundred percent join you for a picnic, Brendan!” By the way, is that a new outfit, she’s wearing? Psht, no, this old thing--?
