Summary: Cricket delivers some mail to Vantage and stops to have a chat with Lilya, who they talk to frequently while making deliveries.  Lilya feels incredibly guilty about lying to Cricket regarding her new job in the assassination division, even more so when Cricket genuinely hopes she’s enjoying her new job and befriending her coworkers.

i love my job!  i like all of it, really.  sorting incoming and outgoing letters, making sure the stamps are stocked, deliveries - it’s all very nice!  i like doing things the right way and keeping everything orderly.

thank you!! fast is…. very fast.  i’ve never tested how fast i could go against a plane!  but i can outrun cars and boats, and run on water, so maybe i could beat a plane if i tried!

#planes go a little under 600 mph according to google so maybe i could run at about the same pace?

i am a mail carrier!  i don’t drive one of the vans though because i am very fast so i run my route!  we have a handful of mail carries with superspeed who all run!

RP Summary: Kip Coyne and the Mystery of the Macabre Manor

Characters: Kip, Cricket, Soren, Musetta, Nyx

Content warnings: None

Summary: Kip and Cricket pay a visit to the Tartarus manor to try and retrieve the stolen postcard that Cricket is looking for. They meet with Nyx, matriarch of the Tartarus family, and find out that not only did Musetta steal the postcard, they did it while trying to steal Mayor Winters’s mail instead. Nyx makes Musetta apologize and return the postcard to Cricket, and Cricket in turn promises not to press charges against the Tartarus family.

bees!  the delivery ended up going a little sideways, though.  fun fact you can’t actually use your one phone call to have bees delivered to you while you are in a holding cell!

Kip Coyne and the Mystery of the Purloined Postcard

Characters: Cricket, Kip, Basil Hallward (True Mayor)

Cws: none i think?? cricket being inconsolable over mail theft

Summary: Someone has stolen a postcard from Cricket while they were delivering mail.  Desperate for assistance, they head to the police station, where Homicide Detective Kip Coyne agrees to help them.  They return to the scene of the crime (Vantage, Top Floor) to speak with the victim (Basil Hallward).

Together, they determine that the thief was none other than Musetta, the director of the assassins division, and they create a plan to get the postcard back, resolving to go to Tartarus Manor themselves.
