Aphrodite is talking to Ares. “Y'know, Persephone gives Hades flowers everyday. I wish you’d do that.” The next day, Ares goes to the Underworld and gives Hades flowers. “Yeah, I’m not really sure why Aphrodite wanted me to do this, but here you go.”

battle couples has gotta be one of my favorite tropes though. The “you got me?” “Yeah, I got you.” The kiss for good luck. Fighting alongside each other for so long they know every strength and weakness. The dichotomy of being fucking terrifying to their enemies, but so soft with each other. When one is in danger and the other goes feral, protects them at any cost. When everything is over and done, it’s all “let me see where you’re hurt,” and washing off the dirt and blood.

percy pretends he can’t open jars and hands them to annabeth every single time just to see her open them effortlessly then immediately brag and flex her arms bc he loves her cocky smile and big muscles

If we’re being honest, most of us study our favourite character less like an entomologist studies a bug and more like an astronomer studies a distant star: drawing complicated inferences from extremely limited data, then getting tetchy about it when somebody else draws incompatible but equally well-supported inferences from the same data because it’s the fucking principle of the thing.

my favorite romance trope is like. you dont want to hurt me but i am asking you to hurt me. i need you to stab me. i need you to carve this out of me. i need you to cut something off of me. this will hurt both of us in incredible ways. yours are the only hands i trust enough to weild this knife. you do not want to hurt me. i am asking you to hurt me.
