.•:★ Waiting room [Part 1]★:•.
Today, I want to discuss crowdfunding campaigns for upcoming blind box doll series. Many brands create new dolls, and before they are released, they often have a crowdfunding campaign or pre-release sale. If you're lucky enough to participate in these, you can purchase secret or limited edition models at a reasonable price and receive exclusive bonuses. However, these events take place on Chinese platforms, so you need to register and pay through them or find someone to do it for you.
Another thing to note about these crowdfundings is that you can't order a specific doll. Instead, you typically have options such as ordering a single blind box, three boxes, or a set of all the basic dolls. The latter option is the most interesting, as it usually includes all the secret and limited edition dolls, as well as free additional items such as body parts, and provides discounts if you wish to purchase any bonuses.
But what if you don't want the entire set and only need one specific doll? In that case, you can find a group that makes splits for all the items and use their assistance.
And here comes first part of my waiting list. I will be posting promotional photos (sometimes it will be artworks, if there isn't any photos yet) for the entire collection and then indicate which item I am waiting for.
1. Once in Sicily

Manufacturer: Jidong Shunxi 4 basic models + 1 secret Theme: Mafia + dogs Release date: March 2025
This was the first line of male-only characters, and people received it with a lot of positive feedback. All the dolls are MJD, they don't have an elastic cord, and they have action figure-like joints. Their height is about 20 centimeters.
The series didn't have any crowdfunding, so it was possible to purchase it directly from the manufacturer's Taobao store. The demand was so high that 4,000 units weren't enough, and there were two waves of deliveries to customers.
We ordered "all in" through a group that helps with blind box orders and makes splits for crowdfundings, but it seems like they didn't anticipate such high demand and weren't very prepared tp manage their work, so the delivery from China is really slow and I've had to wait a long time before they answered my questions. Also, they live in another city, so I will have to pay for two deliveries from China to their location and then to mine. Luckily, I found another person and won't be using their service anymore (after I'll get all my preorders ofc). For now the boys are expected to be home by the end of May.
Some people have already received their orders, and there are a lot of complaints about the low quality of some of the doll parts, but I can't say anything about that because my order is still on its way from China.
2. Light and Shadow Twins

Manufacturer: Neo Eden Toys 6 base models + 2 Secret Theme: Angels and demons Release date: may 2025.
This series is also MJDs, like the boys above, and they are about 22 centimeters tall. And as boys above, they didn't have a crowdfunding campaign, but you could pre-order them with an "all in" option.
We preordered both the secret models and the super secret model: Glow Candy and Nightmare Candy. Sadly it's through the same group we used to pre-order Sicily boys.

The series has not been released yet, so I can't really comment on its quality. However, I don't remember hearing many complaints about their previous series, so I hope this one will be great as well. I'm hoping to get my hands on it around July, I think.
For this series, my partner and I are actually hoping for some more dolls, and we will probably purchase some after they are released. Maybe as a blind box :P

.•:★ Penny's Box - Epilogue [Betelgeuse] ★:•.

— Look, Saiph... the package arrived... Who could it be? — Maybe... our sister, Betelgeuse?
And Saiph is right. Not so long ago, I ordered another Penny's winter limited - Epilogue. I was lucky enough to get it with a discount from a Chinese seller on our local AliExpress like platform. So, let's open this little cutie OwO

Here is the original box. It was sealed by the company and, as with the Prologue, inside was the doll, outfit, spare arms, tail, horns, promotional postcard, and an acrylic stand with the Epilogue.

Doll is well-made and can maintain various poses, just like her sister, Gliese. (You can check her unpacking by clicking this link) Actually, I can't add much to what I said about Prologue.
Epilogue has a more gothic vibe and, unlike Prologue, she doesn't have paws, but hooves instead.

And here with her sisters OwO
With Gliese:

And all three together

.•:★ UFDoll: Tea series ★:•.
As I promised, I'm now starting to introduce some of my little cuties. This dolls are mostly without backstories, as I'm still in the process of creating them.
It happens that my journey into blindbox dolls began with a bunny from the Tea series by UFDoll.

The series consists of 6 basic model dolls, 2 secret model dolls, one even more secret model doll, 3 limited edition dolls (two of which are smaller versions of one limited edition doll and one basic doll), and 10 super-rare dolls with additional non-PVC wig (it is unlikely to get these unless you purchase them for a very high price, as they are 1:1000 chance to get fron blindbox). Usually, these dolls are considered to be 1/6th scale, approximately 25 cm tall (~29 cm with ears), have an elastic cord inside, and can assume different poses. The hair of all dolls in the series is made from PVC, but the secret models may have a spare PVC back for their heads, so different types of wigs can be placed on them. Unfortunately, if you do not use the original PVC hair, it will be difficult to use their original bunny ears, as it fits into special holes in the PVC wigs.
We (my partner and I) ordered a blindbox from this series and waited for some time before finally receiving this adorable doll!
I'm sorry, but I didn't think about making a video or taking photos of the unboxing because I didn't plan to have a blog about my dolls.

Her name is Midnight, and she is a Grape Fruit Tea.
Together with her, my dear ordered a "certain doll" - Milk. It's a limited edition model, so there's no chance of getting it in a blindbox.

My second cute was also from that series. Initially, she was a Mint milk green tea, but somehow she turned out to be a male and I named him Kumo (which means "cloud" in Japanese).

Together with Midnight in their default outfits. OwO

And as he is now.

After that, we ordered another tea series blindbox as an additional present for my birthday. This time, we got Tea, coffee, and condensed milk. However, my other half wanted him a lot and so I gave this bunny to her and agreed to order another blindbox with UFDoll tea bunnies later.

And both UFDoll bunnies owned by my other half OwO

So, when the new box arrived, it turned out to be another Mint milk green tea. I was really disappointed. I know that it's predictable to receive the same doll that you already have, after ordering so many times in a set of 6 basic dolls, but even so, I hoped for a miracle. By the way, not all the time do we receive a real blind box. Some sellers on AliExpress open the boxes in search of rare dolls, so they can sell them at a higher price, and you can only get a random doll from the basic ones.
However, let's return to the second Mint tea. Fortunately, sister of my partner agreed to take the bunny, and there was another try with UFDoll Tea series, but this time, it should have been a specific doll, a secret one - Cheese Berry (promotional photo below).

But, unfortunately, we were not so lucky and all the orders we tried to place were canceled because the dolls were not actually in stock or the price was too high. So, in the end, I chose the other option - Colorful Fruit Tea.

She doesn't have a name yet, but I hope that will come to me eventually. And as a conclusion, let me talk about some specific points about this series.
★ For my taste, UFDolls 1/6 tea dolls are really comfortable to deal with. Their size allows you to take them in a backpack, and they are lightweight, making them easy to carry around. ★ The elastic cord allows the dolls to maintain their poses, but remember that over time, it will stretch slightly, and you may need to restring them. This is not difficult to do at home. ★ Every doll has a rubber ring on the neck to prevent its head from falling to the side, but the construction of this ring is not perfect, and it tends to push itself into the hole in the head, so I have to place it back every time. You can probably fix this by gluing it onto the doll's head or by removing it and applying a thin layer of hot glue to the doll, as it is usually used for BJD joints to help them maintain their poses. ★ If you are looking for some clothes for your UFDoll tea series, you could check out the OB22 type of clothes. Most of Blythe's clothes would also work, but sometimes they might be a bit too big for bunnies.
I think it's all for now with this cute bunnies OwO.
In the meantime, I will continue with stories about other series and possibly make a post about who I am currently waiting for, and there are a lot but mostly all of them are preorders and won't be home soon.

.•:★ A little walk ★:•.
The other day I took Gliese for her first ever walk.
First we went for some bubble tea where she gladly posed for me OwO

"This one is my so go order yorself a new one..."

"Ok... you can sip... but a little..."
Actually she is a cute and kind girl. Most of the time)))

After having some drinks we went outside in search of some greens to take spring photos of Gliese.

She doesn't look really glad to stand on dusty ground with her pretty paws)))
But she really enjoyed to sit on my backpack and observe new surroundings.

And a little bonus. Gliese in the bushes.

.•:★ Penny's Box - Prologue [Gliese] ★:•.
I have been a bit demotivated recently. I worked hard on my first post about my dolls, but when it came to adding some photos before posting, Tumbler did not save my draft, and I lost all the text.
It will take me some time to gather my thoughts and create a new post. However, life continues, and last weekend, I attended a local doll event and purchased a new little girl for my Star Library and some outfits for my cuties.
Please meet Gliese

She is the winter limited edition of Penny's Box from the Cute Beasts series, and her default name is Prologue. Another limited edition doll for this series is named Epilogue and I am currently waiting for it, although there is a possibility that my order may be canceled, so I am not 100% certain. But as soon as she'll be home I will make a post about her.

Inside the box, you will find a doll, a user guide, a promo card with the Prologue photo, clothes, staff (these are accessories for each doll in the series), a cute acrylic stand with the Prologue, spare arms and a tail. Everything is well packaged and of excellent quality.

Her hair is a bit transparent and sometimes it looks shiny. The doll itself is super cute and easy to pose. All the parts are well done, and it's easy to deal with the hair and face if you need to put clothes on her. The material is pleasant to the touch, and the details are well polished, so there are no seams that catch the eye.
The clothes consist of a shirt, an apron-like skirt, high socks, a long white train, and a veil. There's a hole for her tail, and her cute mouse- or bear-like ears use magnets to stay in place and not fall off when you move the doll.
She doesn't use any shoose but her beast paws allow her to stand firmly and maintain her poses.

And with her sister, Saiph, who is also Penny's Box Cute Beast but she is actually a secret character from a base set that I accidentally got while unpacking a blind box. I still think I was really lucky to get her! OwO

I'm waiting for the weather to improve so that I can find a beautiful location and take some pictures of my cuties to share with you.
And as a bonus, I also have a new outfit for Blueberry, which looks GREAT on her. ♥_♥
But it's not surprising, because both the outfit and Blueberry were created by Come4Free company.

.•:★ Let's begin ★:•.
Hi everyone and welcome to the Library of Shooting Stars.
Here, I will be sharing my thoughts and experiences with you, as well as some stories about the cute and sweet dolls that I collect.
I hope to take photos, do unboxing, and share my experience with different blind box dolls. But let me start at the very beginning.
A long time ago, I was interested in BJD dolls and wanted to create my own characters out of them, but they were expensive, and I slowly stopped getting new dolls. Especially after I didn't receive my Dollshe Saint, as I had been scammed.
Time went by, and my dearest one told me about a new trend in the BJD community. She had attended a local event called Dollscar and seen some really cute, small dolls that you could buy full set as a blind box. They weren't expensive either. I looked at some photos and decided to give it a try. We found one on AliExpress, chose a blind box, and started waiting.
Of course, I didn't stop at just one doll. They're way too cute to stop collecting!
I'll show you all of them in the order I got them, with a series of themed posts. After that, I'll create some posts about the dolls I'm currently waiting for.
Here are my cuties (minus the latest one):
