I just like to make small and simple maps with nothing serious. And I like to play with them and imagine stories while playing. I'm not gonna publish anything, I just love playing on my own custom maps. I want to play it ASAP. This mod is fun. I greatly enjoyed seeing Starcraft 1 levels recreated in 2's engine and absolutely love the options we have for extra heroes and Brood War units in the original campaign. And the extra campaigns are a fantastic addition. Love this mod However, there are some things I do have to complain about. My main complaint is that it is a bit too much like Starcraft 1 in terms of economics. The main reason I looked for a mod to play Starcraft 1 in 2's engine is because I wanted to have access to 2's workers and faster research. I am somewhat happy the modders made it as faithful to 1 as possible, but I think adding an option to change the worker AI to 2's would make this a lot more fun to play and shorten the research time for upgrades would make it more fun as well. My other complaint is the difficulty. I'm very happy for a choice in difficulty for the missions, but it doesn't feel like it was balanced too well. It might be because some enemy bases are activating when they shouldn't. Best example is the second to last level of Episode 2, where there are three Protoss AI the player has to deal with. In the Original Starcraft and Remastered, only one enemy was active at the beginning and the other two didn't activate until the player reached a certain part of the map. In this mod, however, I noticed an attack from the second enemy at the same time the first one attacked me. I got frustrated when I stopped one attack of zealots and dragoons only to have my base being destroyed by 3 scouts I couldn't defend against. More of a challenge, but I'd rather play more casually. This mod is still fun and I do recommend the download. But make sure to always have a save for the later missions in case something happens that you weren't prepared for. In reply to rubert :. In reply to username :. Hi, I just installed the game and it went flawlessly. The problem is that the auto installer put the shortcut to the Desktop folder on my C: which is not the Desktop folder I have displayed on my screen. I took me a while to figure that out, but I finally moved the Shortcut to my actual Desktop Folder. Just so you guys know. Hello, ive got a little problem and would be really happy if you could help out. My map folder is missing SCMRsetup. Tried to reinstall, download again, but its always missing. All the other files are in the correct places. When i start up the game, after a brief loading i get black screen with empty UI and map that says Mass recall. In reply to RytoMardys :. Version 8 no longer has a "SCMRsetup. SC2Map" file. See above to the "Installation" section. The problem of the black map is discussed here: Link. Maybe it will be helpful? So it means i have to wait until their is English 8. Because thats the only thing that differs in version. At least that what i understand from that. All English files are in version 8. If you play English version 8. I'm sorry. If you play a language version other than English, then all files in this language should have the number 8. SC2Mod" file can be 8. If you see a black map despite this, it means that the problem results from something different. If you write about the "SCMRsetup. SC2Map" file in version 8. This file is no longer needed. Thank you for the help. I still cannot find the reason why its not working. Tried to delete all the SCMR files and redownload it and install it again, plus clearin Banks file, yet still getting black map. Its a shame i wont be able to play the mode, but maybe someday ill find the solution for me. Have great day and wish you all good :. You probably write about the problem No. FirefoxGhost Translator.
