I respond with what if he goes off travelling again for the same reason as this event,,, I mean hes just going to get more and more known from here on, right?💛

feels like almost the entire fandom hates that Elliot’s portrait is in profile but I got the impression that it was intentional on CA’s part cuz, 

if you talk to Elliot alot you start to pick up on how he wants other’s to see him in a very specific way. and he does get a little better after getting married-- he’s fine admitting that he didn’t want to be alone like he thought he needed to be to become a great novelist, and he does start to eat as much as he wants but he never kicks that habit of apologizing every time he thinks he’s showing some kinda flaw. Like coffee breath, or sweating in the summer, really silly stuff. Not to mention he won’t go anywhere if its raining because it’ll make his hair “go flat”.  

so yeah, Elliot does his best to only show you his “good” side at all times, that’s why he's depicted like that

Morris Stardew Valley is the least believable video game villain ever bc no corporate retail employee- even at store management lvl- would honestly take a punch to the face in the name of their company’s honor above their own

I can see a manager pretending up till that point for the sake of their job/income that their company is upstanding sure. But nobody honestly loves working for a corporation. Nobody.

So I really love the idea of a farmer that looks intimidating or just not friendly bc either their not really a people person and always look pissed at the world but then someone goes to the farm (probably marnie w/ choose animal at the start or Demetrius about the farm cave or something) and then they just see the farmer sitting in a perfect flower garden/field they grew petting one of their animals

Also just like... farmer that really loves making artisan goods w/ their animal products as well as pretty flower arangements/bouquets which is where Pierre gets them and instead of buying one they make one for the person they want to ask out.

Maybe they also like to give some of the artisan goods to people when they've grown on Pelican town a little? Also maybe cooking. And they definitely give seasonal flowers to Evelyn because who doesn't love a sweet old granny and want to make her day?

Sorry for rambling but I have no where else to put my thoughts/word vomit.

hcs on the friendship between george, lewis and grandpa? i read somewhere on the blog abt a friendship between the three and i’d love to hear more abt it from you.

Many residents have come and gone over the years in Pelican Town, but a few residents have been there for many, many years. Among these long-time residents are Lewis, George, and the farmer’s grandfather (who I will refer to as ‘Grandpa’ for the sake of this post). They’ve all lived in Pelican Town for multiple decades and have been able to watch it grow and change over the years. They remember the days when the saloon was abandoned before Gus came along, it was just an empty shell of a building right in the middle of town. The previous proprietor passed away and nobody was willing or able to take over. It was in those days that you had to go to the Mullner’s place to get a good meal. Evelyn was happy to provide, it gave her a sense of purpose and pride to cook hot meals for the residents of town and there were a few years where the Mullner residence was the unofficial saloon. Evelyn only had one rule, no alcohol consumption in the house. Lewis, George, and Grandpa would regularly spend their evenings eating a hot meal inside, then carry things over outside and drink on the porch for hours until it was past midnight. Even on harsh winter nights, you could find the three of them laughing and hanging out outside of the Mullner house, huddled around an old electric heater to keep warm.

When Grandpa passed away, it devastated Lewis, George, and Evelyn. Evelyn loved being there to help Grandpa, after his wife’s passing she felt a sense of responsibility to help care for him and make sure he was well fed and she considered it an honor to be there for him. Lewis was crushed, he and Grandpa had always had a closer bond than either of them did with George and he was devastated by the loss of his best friend. George retreated inward and became more closed off than ever before. He knew that Lewis and Grandpa had always been closer to each other than they had been with him, and yet it seemed to work well with the three of them. Grandpa had a way of bridging the gaps between the group and bringing them all together but without him, George didn’t have much of a desire to continue hanging out with Lewis and serve as a reminder of the friendship he USED to have. This is a big factor on why George is initially so closed off and crotchety when you first meet him.

"Pierre and Morris are ex boyfriends" wasn't the take I was expecting but I dig it

Hot take™ but I refuse to believe they’re just boring business rivals. The community center fight, the letter Morris sends him. It feels way too personal.

No No, their rivalry goes so much deeper. They have so much dirt on each other…the tension. They’re salty ex boyfriends (read: They probably had like a fling once many many years ago and Morris refuses to let it go)

No wonder why Morris was so eager to leave town. Would you really want to show your face again after your ex beat the shit out of you? Exactly. 

Anyway that’s the end of my ted talk. Am I banned from this fandom yet-
