tony making peter do stretches every single day. not for his physical well-being, but so that tony has a little bit of entertainment before work. there is literally no point in pete doing this whatsoever on top of his training, and he knows it, tony knows it, but clearly the rest of the avengers aren’t as aware.

cue bucky walking into peter’s bedroom without knocking one morning because peter doesn’t like coffee, and bucky found a brand that he is eager to show peter. it’s decaf, and god, he’s annoyed at having to start a new batch of coffee and kool-aid every time the kid visits just because they can’t agree on a goddamn beverage.

after entering the boy’s room? the bag of coffee falls from bucky’s grip, all three men staring blankly at each other in slight disbelief. peter, his lovely, angelic peter, has his legs around his head while tony’s watching him like he’s starving and pete’s the first meal he’s had in weeks. considering the fact that peter would have yelled at bucky for help by now if it was actually necessary, bucky has the faintest idea that peter may be more fucked up than he could have ever expected, or it’s totally innocent and he’s the fucked up one.

his eyes drift away from the angel on the yoga mat, to tony, who’s clearing his throat.

“believe it or not, barnes, i’ve gotten pretty good at sharing over the last few years.” a wink is sent his way, along with tony patting the spot next to him on the bed. he proposes his offer as if it’s the most casual thing ever, as if observing peter in such a way is something that comes naturally to everyone. for some reason, peter’s permission doesn’t matter if tony’s willing to do it. why wasn’t peter objecting?

bucky is convinced he’s possessed as his legs start dragging him to the best seat in the building. it also takes him a moment to realize why peter is always so out of breath and flushed during breakfast—it’s definitely not due to the stretching.

The rest of the avengers finding out it’s not that he actually hates being touched, he just can’t handle it. so they resort to air hugs, blowing kisses, all of that good stuff

Peter who goes to a doctor who has to feel his throat for something. And Dr. Stark warns him that it’s probably gonna be unpleasant, because it might feel a bit like getting choked

Well Peter didn’t expect to instantly get hard and Dr. Stark definitely didn’t except his young patient to come basically immediately

But this is definitely a development they can work with

bucky takes peter to the movies one day and afterwards when he drives pete home, peter says “thank you” and hurries inside so he doesn’t waste bucky’s time.

bucky tells tony about this over coffee and tony just snorts, “did you specify that it was a date?”

his eyes sort of widen and he shifts uncomfortably in his chair. “it was implied! i put my arm around him and everything!”

tony repeats, “but did you specify?”

“why would i have to ??? i put my arm around him and walked him to his apartment!”

tony clears his throat, takes out his phone and calls peter: “hey, are you able to come to the lab on thursday?” he puts it on speaker for bucky to hear, making a point to not actually tell peter to come.

“yeah, my schedule’s clear all week, basically.”

they say their goodbye’s and hang up.

peter never shows up to the lab on thursday, and bucky facepalms because he never noticed how oblivious peter was before.

peter dragging steve to the renaissance fair and constantly pointing at things and asking him, “do you remember this?”

steve rolls his eyes every time and peter’s just standing there in his jester outfit like :))))

peter “accidentally” bumping into tony around the avengers tower. tony obviously knowing why peter tenses up around him, rambling on and on about some movie tony never bothered to watch with a red flush covering the boy’s face. the quietness from tony as peter explains everything, desperately waiting for a response so he can shut up, is just a way to egg peter on because tony finds it absolutely adorable.

tony ends up watching the movie, confused but awfully invested in it as he discusses it with peter the next day. peter’s eyes are wide and focused, wanting to pay attention to everything tony says. peter loves this movie, not because it’s good; it’s absolutely awful. in a way it was a test to see if tony would lie about it being great, but also a practical joke that tony wouldn’t get for another week.

and when he does, tony’s mouth slightly drops open at the realization when peter is making fun of the film in front of natasha. peter sees him eavesdropping, and sends him an awkward yet mischievous smile that tells tony exactly where they stand with each other.

peter bitches about tony sleeping in the lab rather than sleeping in the bed they share—which makes tony come up with the idea to put a bed in the lab for peter to sleep in so they’re in the same room together, just for tony not to sleep in that bed either bc he randomly passes out on a table from exhaustion

peter ends up waking up around 3 in the morning to throw pillows at him until the man opens his eyes, lets out a few grumbles as he’s forced to pick up the pillows on the floor that peter threw, and huddles to the bed in defeat

Whatever Bucky was expecting when he walked into the living room this was not it. Yes he was looking for Alpine because he snuck her into the compound since he was going to be here for atleast the next week. But he wasn't expecting to find her interacting with anyone.

Currently she was sitting on the back of the couch, giving little purrs and headbutts to Peter. Who in return was purring back at her and nuzzling at her furr. They would pause and stare at each other. When Alpine would blink slowly at Peter, Peter returned the favor before she would nuzzle up against his jaw.

If he was not already harboring a crush on Peter this would have sealed the deal. He smiles a bit before walking over.

" So this is where you wondered off to. I leave you for a few hours and already got a new man?" He reaches out and scratches at Alpines ear before lookin down at Peter. Who at this point blushes a little " I found her in the hall way and she followed me..."

" Sure. And what are you doing at the compound? Don't you normally stick to Queens Doll?"

" Well umm Mr. Stark mentioned a lot of people up here training.... and un Karen my AI she uh told me you were here and that ya know... you brought Alpine"

" Oh...so you wanted to see Alpine then?"

" And uh umm you"

"Hmmn"

Bucky stares down at Peter's blushing face before reaching out and tucks a curl behind his ear, rubbing his jaw a little.

" Let me take you out to dinner Doll"

" YES I mean yeah umm..sure.. sound great!"

Doors slide opens and the jump apart turning to look at Tony who just walked in. He eyes them for the moment.

" What the fuck is this?"

" Nothing! Um Mr. Stark just uh talking to um "

" Why is there a CAT in my building Barnes?"
