Heroics and Brotherhood Part Two (Pre Tragedy Arc

(Soren makes his way up to a room on the first floor of the mansion which was similar to that of a technological research laboratory. Though not quite as decked out as the ones that most researchers in the field it is more advanced than a child would have.)

Soren: Hey little bro what are you working on?

(Soren looks over Tail's shoulder to see him working on some sort of iPad like device.)

Tails: Oh, hi Sonic! I'm working on a handheld device that can scan and operate my machines remotely.

Soren: That's sounds really cool little bro! I can't wait to see it when you're done. But I need you to take a break for now okay? The New nanny is going to be here soon, so I need you to get ready.

Tails: Alright, but I can come back when we're done right?

Soren: There's still sometime before dinner so yeah. Just make sure that you put everything away and turn them off before bedtime alright? You know that Mom doesn't like it when you leave everything out in here.

Tails: Don't worry big bro I will. How long until the nanny arrives?

Soren: About an hour or so. Let's head upstairs so we can get ready.

Tails: Okay Big Bro! Just let me put everything away.

(Tails puts away the tools that he was working with for his project and makes his way to his room to get ready. An hour later the children of Cottenwoods mansion were gathered downstairs. Downstairs a woman about Vanessa's age)

Vanessa: Children, meet Rowana Longclaw and her children Anata and Arakhu Longclaw! They will be staying with us for now on so please be kind to them.

(Sonic looks at Rowana with wide recognizing eyes as he recalled memories of his past.)

(A young Sonic ran into the livening room of a small home.)

Sonic: Mana, are mom and dad coming home soon?

Rowana: They will be home soon enough little blue star prince. We're are your siblings?

Sonic: Their in the music room we just finished a new song and want to show mom and dad.

Rowana: I see, I'm certain that they will be happy to listen to it when they get home son. But it might be a while before then. Dinner is in the oven right now so why don't you and your siblings show me until then.

Sonic: Okay Mana let's go! Can we show Ana and Ara too?

Rowana: Of course.

(Present day)

Rowana: It's nice to meet you all. I hope that you will enjoy the company of myself and my children.

Sonic (Whispering): Mana...

Vanessa: Alright children we will have dinner in a few hours in the meantime Soren could you please show Rowana and her children to their rooms please?

Sonic: S-sure thing mom...

(Sonic led the three newcomers through the halls of Cottonwoods Mansion.)

Rowana: Sonic... it has been a long time.

Soren: Yeah, it has Mana how did you, Ana and Ara escape from the swat bots?

Rowana: It's a long story Blue Star Prince. But it was a very close call.

Soren: Did Mom, Dad, Unc, Mani or Ani escape to?

Rowana: I'm sorry Sonic but I'm afraid I don't know... But the odds of them escaping are in are favor. If Robotnik had captured them then there would be a public broadcast watch requirement for the public.

Soren: I know Mana... I missed you. You too Ana and Ara.

Anata: We missed you too Soni. We'll see you at dinner alright?

Soren: Yeah, see you then.

(Soren or Sonic as most people knew him has sat with his foster mother Vanessa or Vanilla as those closes to her called her and her husband Fransis or French has he preferred to be called. They were meeting with a social worker named Rutha Heartsbane.)

Rutha: Viscount Soren Cottonwoods, you should have an idea of why I am here to speak with you today is that correct?

Soren: Yeah, it's because of the incidents at Tails school right? The ones involving the gangs and the bullying right?

Rutha: Yes, that's correct, however there is more that needs to be addressed in relation to this meeting. Have you received an information packet from his majesty lately? One containing information about the latest whereabouts of Robotropilan forces?

Fransis: Yes, we have it mentioned something about Robotnik sending people to spy on major players in the Rosevilleian government. Although it only came in a few minutes ago, so I don't believe my foster son had a chance to review it yet.

Rutha: I see... in that case, allow me to summarize the situation. Recently the Rosevillieian military has gotten intelligence informing us that Ivo Robotnik as began attempting to conquer Roseville in the same way he conquered the kingdom of Arcon.

Soren: So, he's trying to place people he trusts in positions in Roseville's government.

Rutha: Indeed, thankfully he hasn't succeeded in gaining any significant positions due to how rigorous our election process is. However, he has somehow managed gain influence over in the western district's education sector.

Soren: By that I'm guessing you mean the teachers that have been giving students that disagree with Robotnik's ideology and the students that do an easier time?

Rutha: Yes, that would be a accrete summery of the enemy's apparent currant strategy. Which is why I am being ordered to require that all noble families remove their children from westside schools.

Count and Countess Cottonwoods have already agreed to transfer their fosters including you, however, has you been technically Viscount Miles or Tails as he prefers to be called legal guard by will of his and your parents the decision of where to send him for education will lie in your hands. You already understand this correct?

Soren: I am well aware of that Mrs. Heartsbane. I already was in the process of looking for a new school for Tails when the incidents first started.

I already have a list of schools to consider sending Tails to. Right now, Rosewood Royal Acadamy is at the top of my list, but I want to make sure their elementary department will work as well as their middle and high school departments. Not to mention it as a lower acceptance rate then the other departments.

Rutha: I see... well I have a daughter that attends there myself and she has thrived form their efforts in her education. So I would on a personal level recommend them. Objectively speaking I would say the same seeing has most of their students go on to attend highly prestigious schools outside of the academy or the academy's higher programs itself. But what of your backups incase Tails does not get accepted?

Soren: My second choice would be Green Hills Acadamy for gifted Youth. I heard from a friend of mine that the academy has a strong Hard and software program which is what Tails is most interested in. You'd be surprised by some of the things he can already make. I have a few others but I'm not quite as confident in them.

Rutha: I see... that should be a good start. Hm? my apologies but I have to take this real quick. I'll be right back.

(Rutha picks up her cell phone and receives a call from her boss.)

Rutha: I see, thank you for informing sir. I will let them know at once.

(Rutha puts her cell phone away and turns back to Soren and the Cottonwoods)

Rutha: That was my supervisor on the phone. He just received a call from the inquisitor investigating Westside. Apparently, Tails, Camilla or Cream and Charmy each received a scholarship to Rosewood. From what I understand, they withheld it despite education laws requiring all educational institutions to in from students and legal guardians of such offers...

Soren: Knowing how desperate the school was to get on Robotnik's good side I'd guess that they didn't want to risk losing "high value assets" as Robotnik would call them. Seriously what will it take for that man to learn that people are not meant to be machines? Everyone knows that Charles Justiceheart didn't intend on the Robotizer to be used like that and the Robotnik wasn't the one to create it like he claims.

Vanessa: I wish I knew Soren... That man is one of the most stubborn men on the planet. I wish we could do more to help the people who live in "Robotorpolis" as he calls it.

Fransis: As do I my dear, though you are right about him being suborn. You'd think with how many times Sonic, and the other member of the united hero's agency have beaten him he'd take the hint and focus on keeping control of the land he has already conquered. Though granted the rest of mobius hasn't had much luck regaining control of it either.

Rutha: I agree with you there. But let's return to the topic at hand alright?

Soren: Yeah, you're right. Now that I know that Tails and the other kids here have a scholarship to the academy, it should be fine for me to apply for Tails to attend.

Rutha: Yes, it would appear so. Once you have verified that the school will be a good fit for him you can enroll him there. I expect that it won't be long. Of course, the emergency homeschooling permit will expire at the start of the next school year but if something happens that makes it so that Tails can't be enrolled at the royal academy then we can extend it if needed.

Soren: I don't think that will be necessary, but I appreciate the thought. If all goes well with the tuor, then I should be able to have Tails start there well before the next school year.

Rutha: Very good then, Viscount Soren. Count Franchis, Countess Vanessa, do you have any concerns about this?

Franchis: No, Mrs Heartsbane, I don't believe we do. Thank you for visiting us today. I take it we can expect to see you a few weeks after the school year starts?

Rutha: Yes, that you should. Would the 4th of August be alright? Assuming the mad doctor doesn't attack that day, that is.

(Soren checks a planner that he has on him and nods.)

Soren: Yeah, that should work as long as it'safter school, I think. I'll have to talk with my manager tomorrow and make sure that they don't plan a gig for that day.

Rutha: Very well then, Viscount Soren. I shall see you then. Have a pleasant day. You as well Count an Countess Cottonwoods.

(The family bids the social worker fearwell, and she leaves.)

Vanessa: Well, I'd say that went quite well.

Franchis: Certainly better than expected.

Soren: Yeah, I'm going to call the elementary school's headmaster and let them know that I accept the scholarship offer for Tails.

Vanessa: Good, just remember that the new nanny is arriving today, so make sure you and Tails are ready. They should be here in an hour.

Soren: Don't worry, Mom Vin. I'll be ready.

(Sonic then leaves and makes his way up the stairs to Tails room.)

Beginnings part 2 introductions (Pre-Tragedy Ark

Time: 8:30am

(The classroom was abuzz with various conversations. Somewhere discussing what they were looking forward to about the curriculum while others were speculating on who the teacher was going to be. These conversations were short when a man with brown hair and eyes entered the room.)

???: Alright class settle down. I know your excited to begin training but we need to take care of introductions first. My name is James Mccloud, codename, Starfighter, and I will be your instructor while you are here.

I want everyone to introduce themselves one at a time and from there we will start your combat training for today. When you came here you should have been given a number by the Principle. When I call your number, you will come into the front of the lecture area and introduce yourself to your classmates. Keep your introductions brief and to the point. Number One your up.

(A young boy no more than thirteen looking closer to fourteen came up to the room. He had black hair and a domino mask with white blinders so no one could see his eyes. His uniform was dark red with dark green leggings designed for movement, a black cape with yellow accents and black gloves and combat boots.)

???: Hi there, my name is Robin. I'm Sponsored by Batman and Batwoman. I already know a lot of you here but for those of you I haven't met yet it's nice to meet you!

(Robin then went to sit down. The next student was a red headed speeder with green eyes. His suit was yellow with red accents.)

???: Hey there, the names Kid Flash but outside of custom I'm Wally West. I like spending time with my uncle who's the Flash and my aunt Iris.

???: Artimis Crock, code name Arrowette.

???: My name is Leonardo Hamato, I go by Blue Carapace or BC for short when out in the field.

???: My name is Batgirl I like gymnastics and programing

???: The names Raphiel Hamato, I'm one of Leo's younger brothers. call be Red Carapace or RC if you want out in the field.

???: I'm Zattana Zetara I don't have a cryptonym so just call me Zattana while out in the field.

???: I am Prince Brion Markov of Markovia but in the field I shall be known as Geo Force.

???: My name is Lilith Clay, but you can call me Omen in the field.

???: Hi there, I'm Katherine Pryde but you can call me Kitty. My code name Shadowcat.

???: My name is Donatello Hamato but, in the field, I am known as Purple Carapace or PC.

???: My name is Bobby Drake; Iceman is my code name.

???: The name's Michelangelo Hamato, call me Orange Carapace or OC for short if you want.

???: Howdy folks, the names April O'neil, aspiring reporter. You can call me Minddancer when where out on a mission though.

???: Hey there, the name is Casey Jones, but you can call me Hotshot. This is goanna be metal!

Starfighter: Alright then, now that we all know one another I am going to tell you guys about the team selection which will be your first assignment. In two weeks, you will be going Infront of the team captains and showing off your abilities. The goal is to get an offer to be on at least one of our student teams or be chosen to lead one of a new team.

Right now, there are five squads. Junior X-Men, which, for those of you who want to join the X-Men will be the squad to aim for, The Young League, for those of you who want to join the Justice League, and the reserve squad for those who don't get any offers. The Hex Girls which is a music and magic based squad, and Mystery Inc, which is a mystery solving team.

You will be allowed to have another student assist you though it will give them extra credit on the assignment. I will have each of you know that this assignment is worth a decent part of your grade for your combat course. So please be sure to consider your options carefully.

For those of you who wish to make a new squad please come and see me after classes are over for today and I will explain how that will work. Do any of you have any questions?

(Donatello raise his hand while taking notes on the assignment. At the same time robin raise his Artimis does the same)

Starfighter: Yes Robin? What is your question?

Robin: Do the skills we showcase have to be combat or can it be something relevant to hero work?

Starfighter: No, not necessarily. So long as the skill in question is useful in the hero industry then it can be put into the showcase.

Donatello: So, if I were to show one of my inventions then I would be able to complete the assignment so long has it can be used to help heroes with their task?

Starfighter: Yes, you can, has long as it's not some kind of explosive like a bomb, it should be fine. Though I would recommend using an invention that you have or nearly finished if you want to use inventing as your presentation for the showcase. You should probably do so maintenance on it as well just to be on the safe side. Don't want it breaking down during the show after all. Unless you want to showcase your ability to fix items under fire.

This applies to other skills you have already learned on your own or from your mentor. So, for example, Robin could showcase his stealth alibies rather than fighting, or he could showcase his acrobatics. Artimis on the other hand could showcase her archery skills or the different kinds of trick arrows she has.

(Wally raises his hand while a few of the other student's hands go down)

Starfighter: Wally what is your question.

Wally: So, let's say that I wanted to showcase my knowledge of chemistry, would that work? My uncle taught me forensics a while back and I want to use that for the show case.

Starfighter: Yes, that could work, though you would need to use a test that could been done in under ten minutes as that will be the limited amount of time, you'll have to show case your chosen abilities.

(The class bell rings)

James: Alright class it looks like were out of time for this class period and will start training for today. Please be sure to turn in a list of ideas for your showcase by Friday this week.

If you already have decided on what you will do and have been given my approval for it, you your homework will be to practice your plan for the showcase until then. For those of you who will need help setting up for it please come and see me with a list of what you will need.

Begins (Pre Tragedy Arc) part one

Location: Earth, North America, USA, Rode Island, Happy Harbor, Young Justice Acadamy, Classroom 101,

Date: 6/1/2010

Time: 8:00am

(Professor X, or Charles Xavier, was addressing the newest students of the school that he had opened five years ago. Young Justice Acadamy for aspiring heroes and mutants. Today was the day that the academy would be inducting it's latest batch of students.

There were some particularly interesting students this year many of whom were sponsored by members the justice league. This class would be the graduating class of 2014, the fifth graduating class of the academy. They consisted of a wide variety of different heroes just like the other classes.

Fourteen students had been admitted this year. Part of them were from the junior program and some of them were new additions. All training to be the next generation of heroes to protect their world and others.

Some students were part timers like Robin and Batgirl while others were full time students that studied at the school full time learning core subjects in addition to the hero-based curriculum.

Combined with the currently enrolled sophomores, juniors, and Seniors there were currently forty-two students enrolled and no less than that. When you didn't count those in the junior program that is.)

Professor X: Good morning students, I am Charles Xaiver, the headmaster for this academy. All of you are a part of the next generation to protect this planet and are here to train for that role.

It will never be easy but in time you will grow used to the challenges that come with them. Each of you have a unique talent that can contribute to this goal in one way or another. You have gathered here to hone these talents. You will have the help of your upper classmen, teacher and mentors in some cases to assist you should it be needed.

Now I would like to give you a word from our first ever graduating class's president, Scarlet Witch!

(Just then a red light comes over the stage and a woman who appeared to be freshly out of high school would appear on the stage.)

Scarlet Witch: Hello and welcome to our school. Today you each take the first steps to becoming heroes in your own right. Like Professor X stated it will be a daunting task. But do not worry, you're not walking this path alone. You have your fellow classmates and instructors to aid you should you need it. As long as you remember this, you will become heroes in your own right in time.

There is more to being a hero than simply taking down the enemy. In the time that you are here you will learn what it truly means to be a hero. Saving others, the skills necessary to save lives and more. Master these skills and hardly any villain will take you down. Take it from someone who has had many years of experience in this field.

I wish each and every one of you luck and great success in your endeavors here. Remember, being a hero always starts with recognizing an issue when you see one and taking care of it before it can do much damage.

(With that Scarlet Witch left the stage and Professor X took over the ceremony once more.)

Professor X: Now that you have heard from our first graduating class president, I would like to explain the system that you will be learning from. Those alongside you will be your classmates for the time that your here. Sometimes you might be sent out on a mission with them, and sometimes you might be sent out on your own or with your chosen teams.

Your instructor will explain the team system when you meet them in a moment. Your instructor will be responsible for teaching you various skills that you will need as heroes. If your mentor has already taught you the skill you will be either asked to review the lesson or help teach it. For the most part they will be assigning you the class missions while I will be assigning team missions.

After each mission you will be given a evaluation of your performance. Your mentor will also receive a copy of this evaluation to go over with you on their time. You will use these evaluations to determine how to improve yourselves best.

Your course schedule is as follows from 9:00am to 10:00am is combat training, from 10:30am to 11:30am is skill training, where you will learn skills outside of combat that are important for a hero to learn.

For this year you will be known has class one as you are in your first year. Your instructor will be meeting with you in classroom one in a few minutes. Please make your way there and be prepared to introduce yourselves to your classmate and instructor students should provide their cryptonym and a brief description of their abilities at minimum though you are allowed and encouraged to share any additional information if you desire to do so.

With that, on the behalf of myself and the staff of this school, I wish you all the best of luck and success in your training with us. I look forward to seeing each of you reach your full potential here at Young Justice Acadamy.

(The professor then left the classroom and made his way to the auditorium where his other students were currently waiting for him and announce any new policy changes for the year.)

Hello and welcome to Earth 134 Starlight Connections combination of Aus of multiple different media that I have in my head. Here you will find space politics, slice of life, conflict, some romance and much more. You can ask anything once the first post after this one come out. Please be sure to follow the asking rules listed bellow.

Asking Rules:

All questions must be submitted via the ask box.

Assume if I don't elaborate on a character's back story they remain the same as in their media's cannon.

Any questions for the for me must be directed to this au's ask box.

Bear in mind some series will be added in later.

All Characters will be introduced with a file, there will be Ocs as well which will be more detailed.
