i would be interested in sitting down with someone who doesn’t like the batman (2022) to hear their reasonings as to why because it is genuinely mind boggling to me. especially with people who make it their life’s mission to constantly bring the movie up and discredit it. like yes they’re bored, yes they miss their dreadful dceu, but i just cannot understand if someone is a fan of batman, like a true fan i guess, what major issue they would take with the movie. because reading about all the love and work that went into it, and listening to matt reeves talk about it… it’s just so undeniably full of passion and heart and sincerity. i guess the people who don’t like it want batman to be a heartless killing machine, which i guess yeah they don’t actually like the character and their idea of him is an oc. but whatever. it’s just bewildering that anyone could listen to the way matt reeves talks about this movie and continue to dismiss it. he just has such a genuine understanding of batman and it’s such a joy to hear him talk about his vision for this rendition of the character. also it’s incredible the movie is as seamless as it is despite all of the difficulties they had filming. it’s just such a gift to fans and i will continue to patiently await part 2 news whilst preoccupying myself with content related to this universe that i’ve already seen dozens of times :]

Good Omens is the perfect show. Unapologetically queer, questioning religion, hierarchies, rules, established orders. Features two characters who don't have much and it's always at risk of being taken away but who fight; for their own peace and for one another, always. Despite them being ageless and theoretically immortal, they deal with fear and anxiety and pain and loss and grief. And all that because they allow themselves to. Because they think humanity, the things we have; love as we have it, is worth it.
