So I'm sick. My partner is sick. The world is falling apart and we can't pay our rent or buy my meds.

We were supposed to move to our new studio at the end of this month but everyone in the city has been ordered to stay home so I don't really know what's going on with that.

Since my partner had to stay home from work (their job is considered essential so it's still open) because of the possibility we both have COVID19 we don't have enough money for rent. I know everyone is suffering but if anyone has a little to spare it would really help us so much.

If I want to be able to afford rent and my essential meds (for my heart, my arthritis, and my psych meds) we will probably need $350-400

Please help us. Places are still threatening to evict people despite the order not to. And if it turns out I do have COVID I'm probably going to end up in the hospital soon.

Why the newly-coined-by-DID-tumblr term "Parethnic" is problematic, from an actual poc

the prefix "par" means "the same as"... first of all...this is basically a rephrasing of the term "transracial/transethnic"

According to the definition of Par, this person is insinuating that "out of race" alters have the same experiences and are basically the same as actual people of that race.

and as for the example given, to state "Leliel is a parethnic Japanese person" IS STILL CALLING THEM JAPANESE. This term is SO indsidious due to the fact that no one will know what this term means upon first hearing it; you're still insinuating that they're Japanese, just a "special kind of Japanese". The average person will still believe the alter you are talking about is xyz race.

No matter how hard you try to excuse your racist actions, saying "we would never invade the spaces of PoC" you are still using OUR words. Only Japanese people can call themselves japanese; much like only Black people can call themselves Black, and how only indigenous people can call themselves indigenous.

white systems that think their alters who appear to be out of race are in ANY WAY similar to ACTUAL REAL people of color is the equivalent of children playing house and thinking they're the same as real adults.

you will never BE us, no matter how many terms you coin, and no matter what you do.

It's simple. If you require people to reveal their trauma so you can decide if they're traumatized enough for their mental illness to be real, you are the asshole. Under no circumstances will accusing people of faking their disorder actually help people with that disorder.

Also, are you watering or generally handling a source of liquid and they won’t leave you alone? Share some at a distance from yourself. Hell are you eating and they want some? Share it.

Honestly if people treated them with the calmness and affection they show bees they’d have better experiences.

Anyway, have a little plate for the yellowjackets when you picnic. They are eating the bugs that you don’t like so offer them a gift.
