Because of her non-stop working she was given a mandatory day off, but since she really didn’t have that many friends here it was mostly spent by herself. Well there was Badou, but he’s more of an annoying older brother than anything else. And Momo was likely busy...

“Muuuu I’m so bored...” She muttered while hanging upside down in a tree just watching the people go by, the animals making noise, the girl floating on water....

Wait.

Why is there someone floating on water?

“Wh-HUH?!”

Badou gapes at her, silently. Not a single noise escapes his mouth, not even the sound of distress. He keeps shaking her, until finally he lifts her off her feet and gives her a harder shake–

“YOU LITTLE SHITHEAD!!”

“GAH! AH HA HA HA! I CAN’T BELIEVE YOU FELL FOR IT! AH HA HA HA HA!!!” Even as she was being viciously shaken, she couldn’t help but to laugh at Badou being tricked so easily by her transformation technique. Then again...she never told him she had a transformation technique~

“What’s up, cat gotcha tongue? Ha ha!”

Oh thank god for the martial arts patch. 

In this current form Zeed have no acess to a lot of spells yet his recent run in with you know who have given him the muscle memory of training all his life. Despite the fact he nowhere near a skilled fighter. His BODY move and react to danger in a way almost like Auto pilot as Zeed after a cool fight scene take a deep breath….

“…..Thanks. The name Zeed.”

Tons of dead bodies as Zeed catch his breath. Damn it his muscle hurts. It’s not like he unfit but his body itself not use to these kung fu like motions yet. His body and soul might know these moves but Zeed isn’t the same man he got these moves from.

“Yours? And hey by any chance did you spotted a ginger pussy while you were coming here? I kinda owe a very nasty blonde girl a LOT of money”

“Riku, Riku Haruna!” Riku introduced herself with a grin as they took around the pile of dead bodies, though the ones of her end was unconscious instead. Killing them would only put her on a hit list and she couldn’t drag the packaging company she works for into a turf war. They were meant to be neutral after all.

She was a little out of breath, but nothing a bit of food and relaxation couldn’t handle. At Zeed’s question though, Riku’s mouth quirked a little, laughing in response.

“Oh that cat? I think I saw it running away through the alley and out towards Golden’s main street. She seemed a little taken aback but wasn’t injured or anything!” Riku lied through her teeth about the cat’s location. After all, she was the cat that held a similarity to the one he was looking for.

“Ugh...I keep having dreams of that stupid Demon King! Can’t I at least have some pleasant ones of my friends?! This freaking sucks!” Usually having dreams of your mortal enemy was a bad sign, and that was no different for Riku either. Its not like she would all of a sudden start having prophetic dreams...maybe being here was making here more homesick than expected.

[Oh boy, its been a good minute since I’ve been on here, school has been kicking my ass and I’ve been trying to update Beta!Riku’s lore. Its getting close to the end of the semester so like this for a starter with Riku! I’m going to continue the old threads if people want to, but this one is for a fresh new start!

Speedy delivery sees the petite but cute package delivered to Riku’s door at precisely 12PM on Valentine’s Day. Inside are three simple, but cutesy, teddy bear cookies each holding a bright red heart. The note with them reads:

“Woah, this is-!” Riku was surprised at the gift that was left for her in front of her door, and seeing that it was Momo who left it! She couldn’t help but to feel a little bad that it took her so long to finally respond- the half-demon’s normally healthy constitution being compromised by a really strong head cold.

“I really, really, really owe you Momo! Thank you so much! Ah, rather than saying it out loud I should text her! We need to hang out like yesterday-*COUGH*”

Damn it. Well maybe the kid have super powers that can take all this out as Zeed have no time as wave two of the thugs coming. Wave one was dispatch with magic missle as back up here. Zeed aim a lariat JUST right as his arm glows with green arcane energy at a speed that the eye can’t catch.

Muscle Up

The big guy that was coming over get send flying back  along with some of his buddies behind him as Zeed despite having little to no experience in close quarter combat usally handling himself.

Well he have his recent memory trip to thank for that. Though he still don’t have the muscles to make some of the martial art move Kal knows effective. He still got a decade worth of combat experience as he almost finish his side.

“AYO KID YOU DOING OKAY?”

That child  better not be on knife point already.

“I saw that you let that cat go and saw you weren’t all that bad, so I’m just helping out as a favor!” Riku simply responded as one of the thugs came lumbering right at her, dodging his punch and quickly...proceeding to kick him right in the crotch area without any mercy. With the look of shock on his face, she cracked the broom right over his head before twirling it like one would with a spear and glaring directly at the other thugs. One wouldn’t expect a 150cm 15-16 year old to look intimidating and...she didn’t-

But that look of defiance was enough to make it known she wasn’t going to go down easily.

“I’m fine, just focus on your own end!” She ducked down when one of them tried swinging at her head, thrusting the dulled end of the broom right into the stomach. Without her more offensive magic, all Riku could do was fight dirty. This was the possibility that Rukai was always training her for after all.

“Yeah I am a wonderful person! You don’t need to worry about a thing ‘round me. I’m just a little old passerby that’s all.” Maybe not old “old” but old enough that she probably shouldn’t be talking to cats like this and expecting a response.

“Well a passerby who’s lost too. This city is all a big mess compared to where I’m from. No directions or anything just…plopped right down in the middle.”

Although if she actually looked around and put in the effort it would be much clearer to the ghost. But that was a whole lot of effort…and for what real gain.

“I didn’t even realize they would’ve brought cats here. If I did I would’ve found one to adopt…”

“Nyaaah~ nyuh! (”So you’re lost too? If that’s the case I can show you around! This city is super duper big after all!”)” Being dropped right in the middle, that was an understanding feeling after all. There was something scary about being waking up at the edge of that pit and feeling like your heart was about the drop right out of your stomach from how close to falling you were!

Plus judging by her clothes...she must be from an old time! Like Sengoku or something!

“(Well technically I’m not a ‘real’ normal cat and this is only my disguise, but it would be rude to bring it up right now.)” Riku thought to herself before meowing again at the girl after being done with circling around her.

“Do you have any owners around here? Would you care if I took you back to my place?”

Surely they didn’t just leave a cat all alone. And if they did the person that did it certainly needed a talking to.

It was really confusing! She really had no scent! Either she was a really good assassin or- wait, was she floating? No scent and floating....no scent and floating....

“Nyaaah!!!! (”Woah! You’re a ghost! A ghost right? No wonder you look strange!”) Riku ran around the girl, looking up at them with a surprised expression- one that was just a little strange to see on a cat.

Oh wait, she was talking to her! “Nyaa...nya nyuh! (”I don’t have an owner, I’m my own owner! Thanks for the offer though!”) Though as Riku meowed, she probably forgot that the girl couldn’t understand her in her cat form.

“GAAH!! WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?! I’D OUTTA BE THE ONE TO...TO...pff....ha ha haha ha ! I can’t I can’t do it anymore!!!!” While Riku was being shaken by the shoulders still in Badou’s form, she lifted her fingers up and released the technique that turned her back into her original form.

“You should’ve seen the look on your face! That was freaking hilarious! Ah ha ha! ha ha! I-I can’t stop laughing!!!!”

“Hahh?! I should be asking that! Who the hell are you?!” Riku, transformed into Badou said back while pointing a finger at him. Inside, she was snickering so much. He has to be so confused seeing another him!

(”Heh heh heh, look at the look on his face!”) She thought to herself while ‘glaring’ at the real Badou.

Badou can’t take it anymore. How can he, faced with his own ugly face!!!!! He grabs this imposter by the shoulders and shakes him.

“I’M ME, YOU ASSHOLE! YOU’RE SOME KINDA COPY! And you ain’t even the other one from that other city! I’M GONNA BEAT THE SHIT OUTTA YOU!”

“That’s good to know. Riku, how many jobs do you do? Hopefully you’re not overworking yourself, mm?”

“Yeah! I’ll definitely let you know in advance! Oh I guess if its that, then I should give you my phone number and stuff!” She should probably start using her phone more regularly too.

“How many? It all kinda depends really. I work at a shipping agency that’s open 24/7 with rotation and they have extra work in-between hours that pays a little extra so I do that too. Oh, and sometimes I do escort work! Since my broom is fast, its easier if I take someone from point A to point B in a jiffy if they don’t want to get on public transportation!” Riku already had a lot of energy, so she didn’t have to worry about overworking herself- but it was still a good idea to probably start pacing herself.

Normally, My Melody was rather outgoing and talkative, no matter the situation; but in this moment it took her a bit to find her voice. She was kind of star-struck. “My Melo has wanted to meet someone like you for a very long time!  A magical girl…so amazing…!!”

“?” Riku tilted her head at the little rabbit try to gather her thoughts before speaking to her. She was mostly confused as to why she was being stopped before-oh. Oh.

Ah ha, ha ha ha! You’ve been waiting to me someone like me? That’s pretty sweet of ya!” The strawberry blonde could help but to laugh while adjusting herself on the broom.

“Though I’m sure there’s more magical girls out there then me! Have you not ran into many before?” Then again, Riku hasn’t run into many magical girls in this city either. They either don’t have the means to transform like she does or probably just take public transport instead of using their magic for flying, which would...make sense.

Being good sucks

Zeed can run. But there to many guys here and the cat might get caught in the cross fire if he does. He sigh and gently put down the cat and gave what remains of the expensive salmon he had and motion it to leave. He just one skinny ass man against so many thugs. This is suicide as he began to strech.

Zeed choose the hard route. The route that mean he have to deal with these pain in the asses instead of just running with the cat and potentially getting it injured in the case. Even if it’s gonna take him another six hour later to track it down.

Zeed choose the hard option. Not the easy path as he smile…..this is not the smile of a hero.

“GENTLEMAN! I think there been a misunderstanding. You know me as the man who get his asswhup. The debt hero who begged pathetically and frankly have zero maiden. Got bailed out by a blonde gremlin for gambling debts. That is true. But i avoided fighting you guys this far because the paper work a pain in the ass. I never once thought my life was in any real danger. My recent experience back home have taught me that despite i can utterly curb stomp all of you and feel nothing. I kinda needed the experience. And boy have i grown a TINSY bit frustrated with my self recently so…”

Zeed raise his hand as energy form in his hands.

“I’m gonna vent a little. MAGIC MISSLES!”

Zeed normally a lover and not a fighter. But he at least hope the cat a safe distance away from this mess as Zeed began to go to town with what little magic he can use.

When the orange haired guy put her down, Riku looked up at him in surprise. He could’ve just ran away...but he put her safety first before his own? He...he looked shady, but he was really nice...or probably really stupid.

But Riku was just as stupid! She couldn’t let a fellow hero get beat up because of her! “Nyaah!” Riku ran the other way into the alleyway, one of the guys following after her while the others stayed behind to beat up the shady orange haired guy. But that was fine with her- because cheap shots were her specialty.

“Nyaah...shin.” The cat disappeared into the shadows as they looked around trying to find the cat- only for the hard part of a broom jabbed right into the neck of one of the guys, a choked gasp coming from them before a small but powerful punch went right into his solar plexus.

“You should be careful about what you follow into an alleyway bucko. Now, I’ve got a debt to pay!” Riku had turned back from her cat form right into her human and shinobi form, hopping forward and out of the alleyway back to where the shady orange haired guy was. She may not have magic right now, but she was still strong even with transformed!

Riku has been turning into her cat form more with the transformation technique, though it seems that she’s been getting a lot of attention from it. Weren’t orange tabby cats really common to see around here? Maybe its because her fur pattern was closer to a tiger’s...she didn’t know!

“Mmmrp?”

Riku tilted her head at the girl who called her out though also noticing one thing- she didn’t have a scent. Most of everyone and everything had a scent, yet she didn’t.... how strange!

“Nyaaah? (”Who are you? You look a little strange to be a local, so you gotta be from another world, right? Right?”)

She heard all about the other districts outside of the main four and really wanted to explore them! She was in her Witch form of Lunar Thunder and in her own world for quite a bit, before hearing someone call out to her?

Looking back, her eyes widened when seeing a little white rabbit(?) with a pink hood flying through the air with a parasol. Wait, were they coming after her?

“Woah woah?!” Riku flustered for a second while stopping midair, floating while waiting for the rabbit(?) to catch up. “Sorry, did you need something?”

My Melody had seen girls like her before. She’d seen them on human television programs! Just like her favorite hero Gutsman, My Melody admired those magical girls. So, it was no wonder why she chose to pull out her parasol and follow behind as close as she could. “Ah, excuse My Melo!” She called out as she reached outwards with her little paw. Her eyes seemed to be glistening with admiration!

 ‘A real magical girl…My Melo must meet her! No matter what it takes!!’

“Please, wait a moment!”  She called out again. Despite being able to fly, her speed was still quite leisurely.

Riku felt like playing a prank, which considering her status as a half-demon was probably a bad idea. But she really, really couldn’t help but to try it out at least once! She called Badou out today to talk about the retail space (abandoned) for her little theater project and was waiting for him to pop on by at the shop they were meeting at.

“Keh hehehe...this’ll really be a shocker!” Looking over and seeing that he was walking right down the path that the meeting space was at- Riku ducked in before he could see her and did a few quick handsigns- a small poof as she used her transformation technique to turn into a carbon copy of Badou. A bit, snarky grin on her face as she walked right out- nearly running right into him.
