I had quite a few asks so I should post the announcement on here.

I’m discontinuing A Promise You Just Can’t Keep and all my other unfinished fanfics. I’m focusing on personal writing projects for submission and I can’t do both.

I’ve so glad I was able to connect with you all through my writing. It’s given me the courage and strength to pursue my dream of being a published author. I can’t thank everyone enough for that. The dream may be a long way off, or not, but I’m excited to work for this!

APYJCK Hiatus

Hey everyone,

Here’s a little update on why you haven’t received a new chapter of APYJCK.

I’m not dead. (A lot of people asked...😅)

I’ve been dealing with a lot of writer’s block for chapter 28. I’ve started it six times, changed POV three times, cut and spliced what I’ve written so many times the doc is pretty much a Frankenstein right now.

I don’t know why, but nothing is working. I’ve never been more frustrated with a chapter before. I started questioning if I even could write because everything was just garbage. Nothing was flowing and it’s all...blah.

Earlier this week, after a few hours of playing surgeon to chapter 28, I decided to see if I was having this problem with just this story or was it me in general.

I literally wrote chapter 2 of An Act of Love in three hours. It felt so freeing to actually have a story flow, dialogue that made sense and wasn’t awkward, plot progression, character development, etc. I wrote the first chapter of this fic over a year ago and it was like jumping into cool water.

All of this is to say, APYJCK will be going on a hiatus. I’m going to focus on my other two fics for awhile and give this story a little break. (Like, until end of Jan maybe mid Feb)

Don’t worry, I’m not going to drop it. I’ve invested too much time to stop halfway. I just need a breather. I don’t want to write feeling all of this frustration. It’s reflects in my work and it’s just not productive. I don’t feel right uploading content I don’t feel 100% about.

Anywho, for all who made it this far in my breathy explanation, thank you for understanding. I really appreciate everyone who reads my stories. I won’t keep you waiting for too long. Promise!
