Willow | Botw/Totk (134?)

> Neo/Xeno pronouns preffered but doesn't mind they/them!

Just some silly details??

- Aroace / Trans (No sexual/Romantic feelings & identifies somewhere under the trans umbrella.. But no specific labels)

- Doesn't actually have the FD markings, but sometimes enjoys painting them on to "feel closer" in xeir own words.

- Used to light sleeping and constant moving.. Doesnt bother em.

- Loves animals and wildlife, would choose to live feral in the woods in every life; Hates towns, hates people. (Except close friends)

- Queer-Platonic Relationship with Zelda (was..)

- Visits and stays with the dragons a lot, sometimes finds them as the safest place to rest..

- Takes a lot of pictures of skies and just.. Scenery. Love photography!

- Lets Arrow braid its hair if wanted... Likes when close friends/family figures play with hair.

- Dislikes when the sun is up and temperatures are very high... Likes it colder. (Fuck death mountain it's gross gross)

- Likes to be awake and night, moon snd stars pretty... Temperature cold...

- Sees Tulin as a little brother, Riju and Sidon as very close friends... A little unsure about Yunobo. Nothing mean towards him, but he.. Confuses Willow as a person. Still sees as a friend! Not as close as say Sidon and Riju though.

- Struggles to get along as well with people they don't really.. Understand

- Fucking HATES the yiga. Are the closest Willow has probably gotten to wanting to commit murder.

- Very good in several languages, and the signs to go along with said language.

- Very good with kids.. Who aren't too young and extremely loud. Bad with loud noises

- Hearing is pretty damaged, deaf in one ear- Though has hearing aids that use especially in battle to help them have more awarness with sounds.

- Can see perfectly fine through faer left eye, despite the bad scarring on their entire left body (including face)

- Very bad socially, yet somehow makes it work through sheer panic.

- Loves cooking, helps calm down brain

- Very ambiguous apperance wise, many people argue about whether its a girl/boy in their world... Willow thinks gender is just... Stupid. They play dress up, and then fucking slay.

- Korok forest is home, likes to see it like that, no matter what places across Hyrule xe owns... Korok forest is just.. The real home. True safety.

- Likes to collect many different things

- Has magic that is quite good.. Yet have a very low stamina for using it, they only promise to do it if in a life saving situation, because xeir magic drains them heavily and quite literally could put them unconscious for days after using.

- Likes to hum music when alone

- Scars are mostly numb/lack functional nerves so can't feel pain (may lead to accidental injury that goes unnoticed)

- Good problem solver, absolutely awful at certain things that uses brainpower.... A balanced person for sure

Could add so many things, it's my silly little guy I am guilty of liking my silly little guy :3

Though think that's good for now, hard to explain how personality works... Idk. Is just my silly littl guy

Just.. Life in general.. Cough cough- The actual writing part where I look at my hc's and go yeah this bitch fr just an oc at this point huh.

> Pre calamity

Family wise, had a good although very strict father, caring mother, and a younger sister.. When Willow was six, things.. Changed. Hard to explain (I don't wanna make a reason and Willow doesnt rmber this anyways) Ended up running away, and finding way to Korok forest, and alongside that- The master sword.

The great Deku tree was somewhat asleep, and unable to exactly try and warn the literal child of not touching the sword.. But there was someone else who made it clear to not pull the sword. Someone who withheld the child from getting their hands on it for six more years.

This is where Willow officially met the Fierce Deity. Why he was there, they don't really know.. But Fierce didn't want another child to fall under the same pain someone once before did... (Oot/Mm) And with children.. He had made some form of deep protectiveness to them. Especially younger, more vulnerable ones. The thought of them getting hurt was.. Something Fierce didn't like.

He'd kept Willow protected, and although admittedly away from their family, safe and somehow created an almost fatherly bond to them... Which is why he was furious when Willow was found by royal guardsmen with the sword, the one time the went out of the forest.

Fierce nearly took him back immediately (Now he wishes he had) But.. Didnt. Instead this is where Arrow first appeared around... To protect and look after them, as Fierce no longer could and heavily urged Hylia to bring someone to watch over them.. Immediately.

The king however.. Literally peice of shit. He failed at being a king, and even further as a father. His neglect is what Arrow had to be there for, and Arrow has.. A lot of hate to say about everyone from the guard, and especially the king. (He admitted he was glad when they died from the calamity)

Willow was placed in the guard, underaged and with no training- Or- More of; Placed directly into the royal guard at 12. Arrow is the only reason they learned to properly fight. And unfortunately, being seen by the king as someone who should be heavily strong... Willow was only allowed permission to weild a sword, no shield, no bow... And of course, they did suffer forms of abuse from being heavily downlooked alongside several adults.. They learned to not speak, to shut up, take orders, and dont speak in fear of being harmed.

Only alone with Arrow (Who was like an older brother after a little bit) did they speak and get to be their own age.

At 16 they were made Zelda's personal guard.. She was older then them by a little under a year. All their training and stuff came from Arrow, which helped them simply aurvive enough for the king to pull them out of the royal guards... Still, only allowed to have a sword, though Arrow helped teach them a little bit outside of that, if they asked.

- The day the calamity came, Willow who had learned and been conditioned to only believe their life was worth protecting Zelda... Without a shield, used their own body to protect her. As if that was more important... They were dead when placed in the shrine of resurrection, yet nobody was aware of that, instead only thinking they were somewhat holding on. Arrow was unable to stay with them, and spent 100 years thinking they'd failed, and gone back umable to do what the others helped eachother with...

While their body was healing and being "fixed" to the shrines best abilities, their soul was trapped in an unfair and almost eternal cruel fate.

To most the shrine was just sleep, no consciousness no memory, just darkness. To Willow, they felt foggy and lost, all memory gone yes.. But that was only if they thought too much, the fog grew more... Whereas their body was stuck in a state they lived for far too long.

Unable to breathe, stuck in an infinite plane of water, drowning with no up to take a single relieving gasp.. Yet with death holding them, and unable to claim them. The pain of simply being denied death, yet feeling unable to actually live... It was.. Miserable.

They did not wake up from the shrines doings, but after Fierce went to Hylia and said please. Release their soul; Either let them die, or let them live. No more of this inbetween... And with Zelda's seal weakening... She gave them life. A day they were finally.. Alive for.

Essentially BotW 100% + Dlc :3

- Meets up with Arrow again, and also Fenn comes in

- Memories they remember are the original 13, a little bit extra with the champions, a few pieces with FD, and few only good moments with Arrow

I dunno not a lot to add, I like botw a lot as it is I just also wanna add a little bit of au stuff

I dont wanna write anymore that much uh... Was about.... 9 maybe 10 years au wise between games

- Guardians stuff didnt just dissapear, most was just like taken apart and to be reused in other studies because didnt trust it as much after calamity took it all over like guardians especially got scrapped to oblivion...

- The divine beasts still exist. Just completely out of power and unmoving at where originally pearched to aim at ganon... Still there just getting grown over n like.. Lost to time.

- Working on rebuilding/repairing Hyrule

- Zelda got to know and build friendship with Willow. no longer Link so took time to just.. Learn who they were now. Eventually qpr <3 nothing romantic but super close and in a way more then friends but not romantic yeah.

- Willow stuck around Zel when she needed things! But! They still were allowed to he the free feral demon befriending wolves in the wild as wanted to be. So weren't always by her side... Say if she was working on rebuilding/helping, they would be halfway across hyrule being silly... (Still have Fenn/Arrow for company!)

- Sheikah slate still exists and is what Willow has... Because I want them to keep infinite bombs.

- Lots friendship and healing and learning more about the champions from zelda and others and still fuck the yiga :D

Think that's all that have now, it's very healing, rebuilding, and just different but in a good way to Willow! Uh and then People do slowly start getting sick-- ONLY people who went to hyrule castle and tried to cleanup-Rebuild.. The castle was just overwhelming to the average Hylian...and they dont get better and that leads to totk :(

- Takes Four years adventure wise

- Once again consider 100% but also I changed things story wise a bit. I think. Yeah.

- Going to the castle things do happen, fuck you ganon who is harnessing a lot of Demise's hate and power, alongside remaints of the calamity that helped weaken the seal placed on them.. Zelda IS NOT brought back in time by a secret stone.. She does receive one in the past itself, but her time traveling is trigged off her light magics heavy instability, and seeing Willow get hurt which made her try and use her powers.. The master sword is broken, Zelda vanishes off overuse, and Willow is teleported away by an outer source... Hyrule castle floats up, and a lot of "sky islands" do form. The seal breaking lead to chasms in the land to form out of nowhere, and the sky islands have always been there, but sealed away and hidden. Some parts (the temples) are newly formed, yet the say. Great sky island always existed, things just too high, and weirdly sealed to all Hylian eye... Until Ganon broke that all. Just.. Chaos. Hard explaining.

- Zelda ends up to a world not familiar to her at all, the Hyrule not recognizeable to her at fucking all. (Havent yet decided if a little after sksw, or before the first hero just in general) She does recieve a stone. make connections, and gives her morality up at the end. Becoming a dragon forever... Some parts from canon I do like... But also mmmm... She doesn't go to the sages. Not really. And instead becomes a dragon behind the others back, hiding it from say mineru until its simply.. Too late.

- Willow wakes up sky island, no Rauru, lack of understanding on how got their, but like. Despite having a new arm (made of dark magic tehee) they instead of bothering with healing, get through there as fast as possible. Worrying about Zelda and just. Fueled off anger for the main part. (Arrow- Mostly Fenn tbh guided them around and helped trying to like. Puzzel solve.) Willow was informed of arms new abilities... Entering the shrines, and their slate would seemingly.. Explain it to them? (It's Wilt. Wilt saved them and from the shadows gave information in the sky)

- Theres lot.. The tears and murals do exist-ish, once a memory is redeemed the mural just.. Fades away. Leaving just the main tear drop... Which the memories are new power get from arm, and they.. Hated doing it. Hated learning what Zelda did... Hated she had no other choice, and once again after everything she sacrificed herself... Just wasn't fair. Hates that. Misses her. Went to Purah calmly didnt explain and said instead of trying to seal this can I just commit murder... She agreed not knowing about Zelda until after totk when actually explained to everyone... That she was never coming back...

- Oh yeah surprise Zelda never becomes human again, she stays the dragon forever. Her spirit rested after it all, but her body became trapped in an eternal loop of movement after everything will never be broken again.

- Willow seems to loose all contact and communication with spirits in the depths... Arrow and Fenn cannot reach them. This is where fae meets Wilt (Their "Dark Link") who is there to lead and assist them in some ways.

- Yippee four regional stuff... Do, sages not there to greet, but do get stones ig. It's... Idk I don't really want to bring back the sages and spirits... Say the fifth one, Willow learns of Mineru, but she physically cannot maintain a physical form, in any spirit or body way. Just a voice for a little bit, lead them to stone, and left it with Willow...Before just. Fading off. Was hard for the spirits to exist snd explain but got through it all.

- Commit bitch on the mf named Ganon

- Game end yippee uh... Willow takes all the stones back. Keeping them locked in the temple, like, temple of time in the sky. Not wanting anymore friends to do what Zelda did.. And finally explained to everyone what happened with her :(

- YIGA DONT HAVE GREAT shit i cant spell thay word BUT NO TAKE

- Shrine of resurrection was not only torn apart, but Willow permanently has it blocked off. They hated that place a lot.

It's hard to really.. Make up my head on what happens totk wise fully, it's just a lot and I don't know. Meh.

Gloom is not malice, it's a lot more connected to Demise, and way more dangerous!

Willow is heavily attached and close to nature, bit myth and legend that blupees and like the lord of the mountain cannot be touched by the average Hylian... But Willow can touch them.

Willow is not immortal in the never dying sense, they can die, they can hurt, but they cannot age. Not another year will reflect on them.

In a way, they've been made into a somewhat deity to life, to the wilds. Claimed by it ever since leaving the shrine.. But arent really god like. Just a protector really. The god around them, the fd however. Yeah. Willow got adopted by the divorced dad vibes man. /silly

But. Since loosing Zelda mentally they are not the greatest, and the other spirits have decided to come out... And be there for support with someone hanging on by a thread.

Thoughts mostly... Eh with totk. I am a little meeeeh there, brain doesnt know. Do think I go a little crazy with Willos but. Don't want them to be a knight again, dont want them stuck under responsibility to people as the hero... Hell Willow is mostly known as a traveler because it's what theyre more comf with.

We kinda.. Stopped switching between pronouns for em n just ended up using they/them for the writing since its easier and more of a habit to do.

It's hard have so many things and shit on Willow but also hard to now write it all down because the head forgets things.

But yeah proud Korok collector 100% baby

Redesign for Willow because I felt like it :D

There is not really a story... Not anything that needs to be done in specific, no fights and big battles to be faced, no threats to anything....

It's just of getting through it.

Of past spirits helping a very very troubled hero. Even if it means finding ways around time and worlds, just to give them another chance to live.

Just to give company; Just to heal from all that's done. All that's... Lost.

"Spirits" are those who bear the heroes spirit, kind of.

~ This comes from a timeline where the hero's spirit still stays around for others... Say, the hero of sky died, and became a spirit. With that the offered choice to rest, or to guide the next in time (Rune) is given. They can help mentor anyone who comes after them, even if it isn't a direct hero from them... Just.. Spirits that only said link can see, there to guide and assist.

It's... Complicated to explain how I view it working.

> After death they learn of the things they didnt, learn there will be more who have to fight ganon, learn of the curse...

> A choice will be offered that can be changed if you choose to stay... Staying in terms, is remaining a spirit attached to the bloodline, at one point in time they can reveal themselves and assist and help the next hero. Or, they can put their spirit to rest. If you choose to help... You can later then rest your spirit..... Revealing self can be before or during an adventure.

> Those who choose to stay and after helping their assigned hero... Get to exist and meet the others who stayed, hang out and just vibe together in sillyness... They also meet and know each other before helping another... Just big family make.

> After all adventuring you shouldnt be able to see any of the others, But you can see and still talk to the one who helped mentor you.... (Willow becomes and it the exception to this.)
