Gary is... Gary! lol, built during the time Penny made her binge-watch (early) Spongebob with her. She is usually a worm person, but snails are great too.

There is a music player inside of Gary's shell that plays songs from the show.

(there was a bug at first that only played the instrumental version of the intro song on loop, along with some ocean noises, but she fixed that soon enough.)

In the case of 'Skins are just costumes,' I like to think that Jessie's Turrets are different bots she's built, all with names and slightly different attributes.

Scrappy is the original. She's had him the longest. Very durable and loyal. He's also the leader of the bots! He's arguably the sweetest, and he's quick to try and cheer Jessie up when he notices she's down.

Sunny is her Summer Duck. She's waterproof and solar powered! Carefree personality. Jessie somehow overlooked the fact that she can't actually float, but after Buzz saved Sunny she went right to work on that.

Ready, from Jessie's Red Dragon skin, has a whole flame thrower mechanic. (Based off of the animation!) He's fire based and heat resistant. It's also very intense in battle. Highly over protective too. When given a task, it completes it 110%!

Nutty is the Tanuki Turret. He's programmed with basic woodland sounds- squirrel and bird calls for example. He can't wait to learn more. Animals seem to like him a lot too.

Fiery is from her Knight outfit. She has a very strong sense of justice, just like her Knight. Very adventurous and brave. She loves showing off her strength. She wants to see the world.

Huffy the Shadow Dragon is temperamental. Her and Fiery are sisters! She's more wild, but stands by her Owner just the same. Not afraid to fight dirty. She wants to see the world...burn.

Glossy and Shiny are the true Gold and Silver bots, respectively. One of them is like a pompous poodle, and the other is kinder, but still cares highly about maintaining its shine. Who's who?... you decide :D

For the ask game, how about (general) 5 and 6 for kickshots?

Oh hell yeah! I was working through the list for my otps already, but this definitely helps with motivation to post~

What is their height difference? Age difference? Do either matter to them?

While I don't think too hard about exact measurements i do see them as roughly the same height, with either having the potential to be slightly taller. maybe they're in the 5'6-5'8/167-173 cm range. of course, it also depends on the au, because sometimes they're different species, or some other factor.

Their age difference! It's not terribly big, but i do imagine Shelly as older. At his debut, Fang struck me as 24, because young adult who wants more now but is stuck in his job when he knows he can be so much more. (also if he was born in the Year of the Tiger, 24 makes more sense than 12 or 36.. or more lol) Shelly feels more grounded and set in her career. so 28? Again, ages vary through stories, but I think Shelly is older. (by weeks, or months or years, it doesn't matter. she'll just always be older, lol.)

How do their personalities complement each other? How do they clash?

I feel like it's important to note that they both have a strong sense of competition. They strive to win, and get better and improve. Be it fighting, sports, their respective careers- acting and being a ranger.

Shelly seems to have a sense of more responsibility. From what little we see of her house, she washes laundry and hangs it up to dry, and she also has a whole little corner for her pet cat. In contrast with Fang's room, which is a little messy, but he's got notes and a marked calendar. He strikes me as the kind of guy who picks up his mess all at once and keeps it clean for a while, before he gets careless (and hangs out with friends) and it gets messy again. (It was movie night!)

Shelly's also focused on winning, and gets annoyed with unnecessary flashiness that can cost the win. She's not above teaming to get something she wants, lol. Fang left work to participate in a tournament because he was tired of it. He gives it his all and goes for the finishing blow.

That said, I feel like they're all for hard work and victories. Though when it comes to losing, Shelly definitely is a more sore loser. She's more frustrated and mad, while Fang is more lighthearted about it. Her stubborn anger is a contrast to his fire though. Because when Fang actually gets mad, he is mad. Hothead, basically. Completely biased against the person/thing he's upset with.

They wouldn't belittle the situation the other is upset over, but they'll try reasoning them down. It could take days, or more.

They're totally a battle couple, too.

I think they usually do complement more than clash but it's usually small details that they'd disagree about-- about Kit, about schedules, about things that's really more trivial than anything really. They're both types who don't takes things too seriously if you're honest about stuff, really.

if they ever get truly angry at each other, well, that's a whole other post, lol.

Y'know, I might make a habit of writing these short little fic bits. Less commitment than a full fanfic, but still fun!

Anyways, here's a Shelly x Fang bit, because I think they're more fun than people give them credit for.

"You should teach me how to kick like you do," Shelly says one day, after a heated sparring match had both of them staying down for a bit longer as Shelly's bones re-set themselves and Fang's muscles knit themselves back together.

"Yeah?" He replies, flicking a bullet he'd just dug out of his shoulder aside.

"Yeah, you make it look fun." She flexes her leg, no longer skewed at an uncomfortable angle about the knee. "And easy, but Barley makes it look easy to toss a bottle around and Poco makes it look easy to twirl around onstage with his guitarra, so maybe I'm asking too much, eh?"

"Nah," Fang says, without much thought. "It's mostly just stance and technique. Once you get the hang of a couple moves you just gotta chain 'em together. The rest is all experience."

"Doesn't sound too far off from getting good with a gun," Shelly grins. "S'that a yes, then, Colmillo?"

"Huh? Yyy—uh...Yeah! Definitely!" is what tumbles out of his mouth. Fang's gonna eat his shoes.

"Then it's a date!" She bumps her shoulder against Fang's. "Hopefully a better one than the one Willow and Angelo interrupted."

"Oh, gods, don't even remind me about that," he groans, flopping back onto the ground, throwing an arm over his eyes.

Shelly only laughs, clear and bright.

"I think I'm gonna lie here for a bit longer, don't wait up for me," Fang sighs, waving his other free hand at her.

"You good?" he hears her ask.

"Yeah, just tired. I can start teaching you this weekend?" He replies, peeking at her from behind his arm.

"Fine with me." She says, stealing Fang's visor, pecking him on the forehead, before dropping it on his stomach and standing up to leave.

Fang stays like that for a bit, watching as Shelly leaves his field of view.

"Hgggh..." He covers his eyes again, his heart fluttering in his chest as he thinks about her. He's doomed.
