What Hugh Looks For In A Partner
***Caveat: This is merely my interpretation of a natal chart. Hugh could be looking for these elements in a different form to what I describe below. ***
I look at the Descendant, the Moon and Venus in a heterosexual male.
Hugh’s Descendant is in Capricorn
His Descendant is conjunct Saturn, the ruler of Capricorn (in the 7th)
His Moon is in Leo in the 1st, the house of Aries
His Moon is widely conjunct Jupiter, the ruler of Sagittarius
His Venus is in Pisces in the 8th, the house of Scorpio
Let’s look at Hugh’s Descendant
His descendant is in Capricorn, and it is conjunct Saturn, the ruler of Capricorn. This gives a double dose of Capricorn to what Hugh wants in a partner.
Capricorn traits include leadership, self-control, hard work, the ability to plan and see the plans through to a reward (short-term and especially long-term), seriousness, shyness, practicality,
valuing traditions (their family’s traditions, not what society sees as ‘traditional’), realism, ambition, determination to succeed (at what is up to each individual), an appreciation of social classes and social status, self-discipline, a strong sense of duty, and patience.
One or more of these traits is what Hugh looks for in a partner.
At its worst, Capricorn is ruthless, money-hungry, snobbish, and obsessed with “keeping up with the neighbours”.
At its best, Capricorn is an ambitious long-term planner who values traditions and hard work.
Hugh has his North Node conjunct his Descendant (and Saturn). This means that his choice of partner will have a huge influence on his life journey (which is what your nodes show). Hugh is in this life to develop the Capricorn qualities of his North Node, and this is emphasised by him having Saturn conjunct his North Node. So hard work, long-term planning, self-discipline - these are all what Hugh is here to learn in a very big way.
However, the problem with our North Node is that we don’t know how to do them (which is why they are what we are here to learn).
As Hugh is learning his North Node, he may do one or both of two things: 1) develop the lower side of Capricorn (as a way of learning about the sign and how not to manifest it) and 2) Marry someone who carries those Capricorn energies for him, so he can either let them do the work for him or learn about Capricorn qualities from his spouse.
As his North Node is conjunct his Descendant, there is a very real possibility that he will do the latter. As he is clueless about his North Node, he may very well be clueless about what sort of woman he wants to marry, or feels he should marry (Saturn is very big on ‘shoulds’ and duty). He may not want to get married (as we tend to avoid our North nodes, especially earlier in life), or marry out of a sense of duty (Saturn is also very big on duty). Things will become clearer after his first Saturn Return, which should have just happened (sometime in the latter half of February). It will take him a bit to sort things out and then he should have a better idea
of who and when he wants to marry.
Capricorn can cling to what is safe and familiar - they are not risk takers - so he may marry someone he knows from the past - an old girlfriend, a friend-to-lover, and/or someone of whom his family
approves (family approval is important to Capricorns, as they tend to feel it is their duty to marry someone their family likes).
His Moon is very much in the realm of Fire. Fire signs are all about enthusiasm and warmth (e.g. being all excited about a new project), while not necessarily being great on the follow through. Capricorn is all about the follow through, and is not big on showing excitement (all that self control). So what Hugh needs from a woman to satisfy his Moon is the direct opposite of what he is looking for via his Descendant. In short, he wants both sets of qualities.
In particular, with a Leo Moon, he is looking for someone who is warm and generous and loving, who will pay him attention (Leo moons need A LOT of attention), who is gracious and brimming with enthusiasm about things, and who will make him feel like the centre of her world. Honesty will be very important - Leos usually do not like deception - and loyalty will also be important. With a Leo Moon, he may also be looking for someone with a sense of playfulness and/or a love of children. He may want someone with good grooming - Leo can like their women to look good in society’s eyes.
Both Leo and Capricorn like being in control, so his woman would have to be content to be the vice president to his leadership.
An undeveloped Leo will go for looks and social status - to have a glamorous woman on their arm so every other man will envy them.
A developed Leo will go for internal characteristic, but they still want someone of whom they can be proud. Hugh’s Leo Moon wants to be proud of his woman and (possibly) brag about her to his friends.
So far we have two complete opposites for what Hugh is looking for in a partner, and he wants both. So an ambitious, practical,
self-disciplined woman who is a long-term planner and not afraid of hard work, who is also warm, generous, loving, and enthusiastic.
Hugh’s Moon is opposite his Descendant and opposite his Saturn, so his desire for Leo traits in a partner will be influenced by Saturn. The Saturn/Capricorn needs for practicality, self-control, patience etc will dominate. They have to come first, and then he will look for warmth, generosity, enthusiasm etc. Capricorn/Saturn is the dominant motif; the Moon and Venus are secondary to this.
Hugh’s Venus is in Pisces in the 8th house - a water sign in a water house. Water is all about emotion. The 8th house gives depth and passion to the emotions, while Venus in Pisces feels everything about everybody and is brimming with universal compassion
(and possibly needs to work on her boundaries).
Venus in Pisces is a romantic lover who is looking for a soulmate. Here Hugh is looking for someone who has compassion for the world at large as well as being a romantic who believes in true love and all the little gestures of romance - candlelight dinners, flowers, walks on beaches and so forth. Venus is Pisces can be very dreamy and float through reality. A little of this would be acceptable, but with that strong Capricorn/Saturn Descendant, practicality and realism are preferred (softened by Piscean romance).
So Hugh is looking for a self-disciplined, practical, competent partner who is warm, generous and enthusiastic about things, while also believing in true love and romance and soulmates.
I am going to stop this here so I can submit this to you. I will do a basic compatibility analysis over the next few days and send it in as well.

This was submitted to HRHRoyalTarot, and I am posting it here as well so I have my own copy. It is in response to an anon question that caught my eye.
Posted with the following caveats: 1) I am not a professional astrologer, 2) All errors are mine and mine alone, 3) I am not part of the fandom, so this is coming from an outside viewpoint, and 4) As at this time, I do not take requests for other analyses like this one. I am sorry, but I am far too busy with my Real Life to take requests.

Chris Evans Relationship Astrology
Chart for Chris Evans, born at 6.16pm on the 13th of June, 1981 in Boston, Massachusetts, USA
To find out what an opposite-sex orientated man looks for in a relationship, you look at his Descendant and any planets conjunct it, his Moon, and his Venus.
The Descendant is the gateway to the 7th house, which rules one-on-one relationships - close friends, open enemies, close business partnerships, marriage partners etc.
The Moon is what a man wants in a woman - what he is unconsciously looking for
Venus is taste - what a man likes in a woman, what he finds attractive, what he thinks is ‘hot’. A lot of men confuse Venus for the Moon and end up in marriages with a partner they think is hot but with no emotional fulfilment.
You can add in the Nodes, the Vertex, Black Moon Lilith. the asteroids Juno, Eros, Psyche, Sun and Moon overlays, the Sun-Moon midpoint, Mercury aspects, and even more indicators, but the base of the matter is the three elements above.
Chris Evans has his descendant in late Taurus. What he looks for as a starting point in a meaningful relationship (not a fling or an affair) is earth. Practical. Home-loving. You then add in other Taurus traits such as good with money, sensual (Taurus is the most sensual sign of the zodiac), love of comfort, enjoyment of good food, goes for quality over quantity, etc. So as a starting point, Chris will be looking for earth signs - specifically Taurus, but Virgo and Capricorn will have their attractions as well. He will be looking for an Earth Sun, Moon, Rising Sign, Venus or Mars. He will also be attracted to people with personal planets in the 2nd house (the natural house of Taurus).
If you have any planets around 28.12 Taurus they will conjunct Chris’s Descendant and he will see you as a natural partner. Planets up until 29.35 Gemini will fall into his 7th house, and he will also view these people as a natural partner, but the pull will not be as strong as if your planet conjuncts his Descendant. [Caveat: A proper relationship analysis takes in the entire form of both natal charts, not just one aspect between the charts, so please don’t start dreaming of a wedding based on this one aspect or any other single aspect between your charts.]
From this starting point, we look for any planets that are conjunct the Descendant. Chris has none, as his Mars in Gemini is beyond the five degree orb that I use for angle conjunctions, as well as being in another sign. An an aside, having Mars in Gemini in his 7th house shows that his desire (Mars) will show itself as quick witted banter (Gemini) with his loved one, i.e. when he is looking for a partner, he will use his wit to impress her (chase her down using Mars).
So far we have Taurus as a sign and Taurus as a house (second house). Moving on!
Chris’s Venus is in his 8th house, at 10.35 Cancer. Cancer goes nicely with Taurus, with both of them being homebodies, so this will work with his Descendant. Cancer is all about home, your roots, your tribe, your ancestors, feeling safe, being nurturing etc. Venus in Cancer can manifest as a very maternal sort of nurturing in a person (I have this placement myself). Venus in Cancer tends to enjoy cooking, staying at home, snuggling under blankets etc.
However, here Cancer is in the 8th house. This is the house of (among other things) death, sex, inheritances (other people’s money), the occult, psychological depths, and deep, life-changing transformation etc. This gives Chris’s Venus a darker sheen. He will look for one or more of these elements in his partner.
With Taurus on the descendant, he may have an eye to how much money his partner has (both Taurus and the 8th house are concerned with money - Taurus is my money, 8th house is other people’s money). He may look for transformation through love. He may want a lot of stay-at-home sex. I don’t know how he will manifest it, but attraction, love, self worth, money (Venus) will always be linked to 8th house values for him, whether he admits it to himself or not.
Another factor affecting Chris’s Venus is that it is in an intercepted house. Chris has no house cusp in Cancer, he has his 8th house cusp In Gemini and his 9th house cusp in Leo. This makes the sign of Cancer shut away in his chart. If you think of the cusps as doors, he has no doorway to go through to get straight to the sign of Cancer. Instead he has to go through the doorway of Gemini and walk through that room/house until he gets to the sign of Cancer. This means that he has difficulty expressing the sign of Cancer in his life, because it is hard to access. He will also find it hard to express any planets in Cancer, e.g. his Venus. A person with an intercepted Venus struggles to understand and express what they want from love. As a result, they often go looking for love in all the wrong places.
There are two ways Chris can access his Venus. The first one is to use the planet that rules Venus to access it. This is usually the easier path, but unfortunately for Chris, he has Venus in Cancer, the ruler of Cancer is the Moon, and his Moon is in his 12th house (see below for a discussion of this - essentially a 12th house Moon has the 12th house casting a Neptunian fog over the Moon, making it difficult to impossible to see clearly, and therefore a very poor guide to his Venus). This is a strong indication that love and other things associated with Venus will be delayed in coming to fruition in his life (he has to come to terms with his foggy 12th house Moon first). The other path (using the sign on the cusp of the house (Gemini) and it’s ruler (Mercury) is also difficult for him as his Mercury is in Cancer and hence also intercepted.
The result is that Chris will struggle in one or more of the areas ruled by Venus (love, romance, self-worth, money). He doesn’t know what he wants, and so he goes looking for these things in the wrong places. Once he finds a way to access his Venus, he will have a very strong, creative, and possibly unique expression of his Venusian values. He just has to get there first.
Any planet of yours that is around 10.35 Cancer will conjunct Chris’s Venus and is something that he will view with warmth and affection in you (for passion/desire, look to his Mars). What he will look for to fulfil his Venus is personal planets/point in Cancer (the Sun, Moon, Venus, Mars, or the Rising Sign), or those planets/point in the 4th house (the natural house of Cancer). This is said on the provision that Chris has found a way to access his intercepted Cancer. Otherwise he will be attracted, but not know what he wants or why it is important to him.
So Chris looks for a Taurus or 2nd house planets, and wants a dark Cancer or 4th house planets, but what does he really need? For that we turn to his Moon.
Chris’s Moon is at 12.03 Scorpio in the 12th house. It is trine his Venus, so those two will work nicely together - there will be an easy flow of energy between them. Scorpio is the natural ruler of the 8th house, so all those 8th house attributes to Chris’s Cancer will be strengthened by the trine between these two planets. The Moon in Scorpio itself means that Chris needs - not wants, but needs - Scorpio attributes in his partners. This means intensity (so much intensity!), passion, sex, transformation (especially transformative sex), and a soul who is unafraid of the darker side of life. So he should be looking for a person with their Sun, Moon, Venus, Mars or Rising Sign in Scorpio, or in the 8th house (the natural house of Scorpio).
However (and this is a BIG however), Chris’s Moon is in his 12th house. Planets in the 12th house are hidden from the person with the natal chart. Everyone else can see them in that person’s life, but the chart owner can not. This means that while Chris needs that Scorpio element in his life (especially as his Venus is in the 8th house and trine his Moon), he may be more or less oblivious to his fact (Venus in the 8th would usually help him with this, especially given that the 8th house is the natural house of Scorpio, the sign of his Moon, but his Venus in Cancer is intercepted and not easily available to him). Once he has sorted out his Moon and found a woman who can fulfil his Scorpio needs, I think he will be very happy.
The 12th house is the natural home of Pisces - sweet, slippery, vague Pisces, ruled by foggy, imaginative, and deceptive Neptune. 12th house romances are very idealistic and sweet. This is the flowers-in-the-meadow, ice-cream and soft chaste kisses, rose coloured glasses, belief in romantic love type of romance. Chris may go for these sorts of romances in an attempt to fill the needs of his Moon, and be oblivious to the Scorpio depths beneath (which is what his Moon really wants).
Any planet around 12.03 Scorpio will conjunct Chris’s Moon and have an affect on his emotions (the Moon rules our emotions, among other things) for good or for not-so-good. Chris will be drawn to women with their Sun, Moon, Venus, Mars or Rising Sign in Scorpio or in the 8th house, although he may not know why he is drawn to them.
The last thing I want to look at is Chris’s 4th house. This is the house of roots, ancestors, family, making a home etc. Chris’s 4th house is in Pisces. This matches perfectly with the 12th house position of his Moon. Anyone with planets that fall in the second half of Pisces (after 13.46 Pisces) will be someone with whom Chris wants to set up a home. This also applies to planets in the first half of Aries, but the pull here is not so strong as they do not have the tie with his 12th house Moon.
Overall, Chris has: Descendant in Taurus, intercepted Venus in Cancer in 8th House, Moon in Scorpio in 12th house, and 4th house in Pisces. This shows a strong attraction towards women who have their personal planets/rising sign in water (Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces) or in Taurus, or in the corresponding houses (2nd, 4th, 8th, and 12th) for his life partner.
If you are more Fire and Air in your chart, or even earth but Virgo and Capricorn earth, Do Not Despair. Attraction is a complicated thing. There are many other factors that can and will modify this base attraction, including (but not limited to) Chris’s Nodes (in fire and air), his Juno, his Ceres, his Vertex, his other angles (not just his Descendant), his Black Moon Lilith, and Sun and Moon overlays, and the reaction of his air Sun to all that water emotion. His Mercury and the woman’s compatibility with that will be super important (no communication, no relationship, especially for a Gemini Sun)!
I can see just from looking at his chart that Mercury (Gemini and Virgo) and Saturn (Capricorn) will also play a role in his attraction profile, and that is without going into any of the other factors or the effects of the outer planets (Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto) on his angles, Moon and Venus. So while the water signs/houses and Taurus are definitely important elements in what Chris looks for in a woman, there are a lot more points to be considered that will modify what attracts him, sometimes in unexpected ways.
I will finish by repeating what HRH Royal Tarot has already stated: no matter how compatible you are on paper, what counts in the end is how you manifest the energies (planets and points) in your chart. If you manifest these in a way that I don’t like, then we will not be getting on, no matter what the paper aspects say. The only way to find out if something works is to meet and interact with the other person. Until then, all you have is dreams and possibilities.
