Lemon Crinkle Cookies!

I was struggling to pick what food to do until I remembered an easy but messy recipe my Grandma and I have been making since I was little. Still make them to this day! It's Lemon Crinkle Cookies!

As a family bonding activity Paul decides that they will all bake a childhood favorite recipe of his together, Lemon Crinkle Cookies.

@startrekpotluck is my favorite fandom activity. It's a delightful, positive experience that unites people from all over the Star Trek fan universe. I try things I wouldn't normal experience. Everyone's so supportive! I've enjoyed it every year.

Star Trek: Discovery Rating: Mature Warnings: No Archive Warnings Apply Relationships: Katrina Cornwell/Mirror Philippa Georgiou Summary: Food brings a family together, and lets them say goodbye, but it has no taste for her. Kat needs something to shake her out of her exhaustion, maybe she'll find it at the last meal before Discovery goes to the future.

Depression and trauma make favorite things (like bourbon) not as comforting as they were. Kat looks for comfort in the (mildly self destructive) unknown. I wanted to find that grey everything feeling, and think of something suitably wild to snap herself out of it.

Star Trek: Discovery Rating: Teen And Up Audiences Warnings: No Archive Warnings Apply Relationships: Michael Burnham/Laira Rillak Summary: Set after season 4, Michael invites Laira to a dinner on Discovery, and they try new things together.

A potluck in a potluck, that was fun because I love Laira getting to be part of the Disco family, who are so lovely.

Star Trek: Discovery Rating: Mature Warnings: No Archive Warnings Apply Relationships: Michael Burnham/Laira Rillak Summary: Regulations state that the President of the Federation has to be accorded certain honors while on a Starfleet ship. Michael tries to give Laira the kind of dinner she might actually need, and they end up sharing a pilot's breakfast. In the traditional style…

Making state dinners fun and giving Laira a break by research long-haul freighter culture in ways only Michael can. (though Pilot's Breakfast has a delightful double meaning).

Sector Sixteen's No Replicator Invitational (5439 words)

Star Trek: Discovery Rating: Teen And Up Audiences Warnings: No Archive Warnings Apply Relationships: Michael Burnham/Laira Rillak, Michael Burnham & Crew of the Starship Discovery, Laira Rillak & Crew of the Starship Discovery Summary: Michael asks Laira to join her for a cooking contest on a small space station in Sector Sixteen. Michael doesn't really know how to cook, but that's not a problem. She's a fast learner.

Cooking together is a great way to make sure you're compatible, and build in elaborate proposals. I really enjoyed writing this one because there are space rutabagas and making up traditions is fun.

2025

Sparkling wine! sometimes it's handed to you, sometimes you reach for it yourself.

Star Trek Discovery....Michael Burnham/Laira Rillak, coming August 8th (which is also the day I'm moving so uh...it'll have to be my celebration). I'm excited.

I've gone from messy not-relationships to casual to oh we should date to engaged...will 2025 follow the trent, will it go off on its on?

I'm so excited to share and enjoy all the dishes this time. Thanks again for having me.

🍲 All the meals shared (all the bonds made) - A Uhura-centric fic which spans SNW, TOS and even TNG. Written just after the passing of Nichelle Nichols, and I think it shows <3

2023

🍟 A Lucky Accident - SNW Una/Ortegas on an (accidental) date! I really love these two together and who knows, one day I might actually finish the sequel? (It exists!) Or the other fic I have in mind for these two :)

2024

🍷Nourishments - DIS Laira Rillak/Charles Vance (can be read as friendship with feelings). About the importance of eating, while trying to keep the Federation alive. And also looking back, now that things are changing. I do have a soft spot for this relationship and wish to explore it more one day.

2025

VOY! I am so excited and scared to write for my first fandom again. Potluck-fic is the perfect way for me to dare to test the waters again. It's quite scary to write for characters I have loved for 25yrs, but not written for in almost 20. Luckily the potluck-crowd is always so kind and understands that some parts of the kitchen might be a little... intimidating <3

Recipes, by AliceInKinkland - Podfic of an entry by another participant. Foodways and terrorism, and the convergence of same. A bit harrowing, and I did my best to keep those vibes.

Pique-Nique of the Elysians - Fic/Podfic, 1.3 k, a romantic encounter in that fairytale ep from Strange New Worlds.

All in all, I'm very proud of all of these. And wish my fic-writing brain could swing back to Star Trek sometime...

Some of the pages are falling out and have been glue-stick'd back in, but as you can see I have pursued a culinary specialisation in Star Trek Picard for the last five years. Enjoy! (Please ignore the Deconstructed Hologram on page 18; that was an unfortunate attempt to follow a trend and not kitchen tested.)

Make it Shine (t, Agnes Jurati, La Sirena crew) Do even the smallest anniversaries need celebrating? Agnes would say no. Is she loved enough to accept it when they are? Yes, but she’ll drag her burdens along the way.

A Mindhouse Of Flowers (And Stuff) (g, Emil, Agnes Jurati) In which Emil is treated to a horticulturally-on-theme outing with Agnes, and wonder of wonders, doesn’t immediately go bolting.

And very excitingly, I am adding to the most recent chapter, ready for August. If only I could read my own handwriting on this scrap of weetbix box...

Human Experience (2023) - Hugh vents some frustrations with his experimental cooking to Seven of Nine. Everything You Said And Worse (2024) - It was a miracle that The Artifact could move at all, let alone manage warp speeds. The fact that Hugh was preparing to host a dinner party was, in his view, more of an absurdity than a miracle, given that he’d been dead roughly 48 hours prior.

And this year is looking to be a third entry in the saga of "Hugh is really very done with everything", so yay!
