Yes, Glitter is back on the chopping block. After being saved in a previous purge poll, it went on to lose its polls against Filigree and Practice.

my great-grandfather had to leave italy in the 20′s because he hit a fascist with a tuba, so if you think I am going to take this sitting down you are going to have to catch these hands and also this tuba

one of the things that makes autism a disability (and why some of us choose to label it as such rather than anĀ ā€œalternate neurotypeā€) is the stress.Ā
part of autism is just being incredibly stressed. overstimulation? stress. holding a conversation? stress. something happening to our schedule? stress. people talk about how often autism is recognized and diagnosed via our stress responses (like meltdowns) because it is just so common to see autistic people stressed because of lack of accommodations to how our brains work.
and this matters because stress kills. stress causes a lot of health issues, or it can trigger pre-existing ones by making certain chronic conditions flare up. i once had a psychiatrist very unhelpfully tell me iĀ ā€œjust need to manage my stressā€ when the stress i was describing was things i could not avoid in neurotypical society and can’tĀ ā€œjust get overā€. i can doĀ ā€œself careā€ all i like but i cannot at the very base level change the way my brain inputs information and reacts accordingly.

anyway you should always remember that all those foreigners you see dying on the news are just as real people as you are who have just as much interiority as you do. there is nothing about you that makes you more important and it is by pure chance that you are not in their position. in fact, this holds for all of history. every person, no matter the horror of the fate that befell them, had just as much interiority as you do. i feel like some people haven't fully internalized this.

"The Water Deer, aka Vampire Deer, stands out from the rest of the true deer family for deciding to evolve tusks instead of antlers. They’re able to adjust their tusks to point at slightly different angles using facial muscles, allowing them to move their tusks outwards from the jaw while grazing, and then point them straight downwards when fighting with another male. Probably because of their less combative lifestyle, the females’ tusks are much smaller, 0.2 in (0.5 cm) on average."

ā€œif you’re sensitive to sounds when sleeping, just use earplugs!ā€ i cannot stress enough that the sensory feeling of having my ears fully blocked AND now being able to hear my own heartbeat and breathing and every other sound that’s happening inside my own body is a million times worse than whatever ambient noise may be keeping me awake
