A rather long, more angsty comic that I had in my drafts for a while. I feel like things like this probably happened more than once. I imagine N was a walking trauma reminder for both J and V because of how he was the only one being consistently lobotomized and kept in the dark. It could've been a factor to J's disdain with him but I also think it jaded V. I can't imagine she was always so cold with him, i feel like after watching the last "friend" you thought you had becoming a scraped out dog for the thing that killed you both kinda kills any hope you might've had left. At some point V decided that the best way to interact with what has become of N was to pretend she didn't remember his name

Been a long time since I thought about Stray game but I decided to try drawing an old Stray Companion OC in my newer style. This is Azazel, aka Zel. He's a heavily modded guy with the thought process of a dog and loves to kill things.

Believe it or not this actually started off as me practicing backgrounds, only for me to increasingly grow in frustration cause it looked like shit. So of course, like any sane individual, i scrapped it, screamed into my pillow, and drew tristan over it to soothe my soul

Moral of the story is if at first you dont succeed, try, try again, and then give up and leave it up to future you because present you isnt dealing with that shit

#N very clearly likes to play with his food#not to the extent of V#but he definitely prolongs his first fight with Uzi more than necessary by throwing her around and such#also I feel like him waving at Uzi in the mirror shard is half-taunt half-him genuinely being a dork#not just him being friendly

Yeah, if you look at how he handles the initial attack on the bunker, he is very much having fun. Also, he does this;

Fucker jumps on all fours and THEN pounces on the poor drone like a big cat. Given how J treats him and how V ignores him, this might be the only enrichment he gets pre-Uzi. Yeah, soft boy this Dog Boy is not. And as an aside, Golden Retrievers have soft mouths so they can fetch the prey to their owners. Not so they'd be less dangerous to kids.
