hey all, so experiment zombie has highkey failed lmao. i wanna say there's just too many groups around right now or maybe the mxm community isn't into survival, which is valid. i'll be putting the group on ice again for the time being, though ngl, i'll never lose hope we can get this off the ground after all. i've got sooooo many ideas just waiting for an audience. i may try again at the end of april when tlou hits tvs across the globe lmaooo, i'm stubborn so ...yea.

snow blanketed the city, transforming its jagged ruins into ghostly silhouettes against a pale gray sky. shattered windows framed the office building like jagged teeth, frosted at the edges where the cold had crept in. icicles hung from broken ledges and bent streetlights, glittering faintly as the weak winter sun fought to pierce the thick cloud cover.

inside, the office was a patchwork of survival. desks had been pushed together to form crude barricades, their once-polished surfaces scarred with the signs of hurried work—knife marks, scratches, and burns. a faded office logo on one wall had been partly covered by a tattered blanket strung up to block a draft. what little light there was came from a small, makeshift heater in the center close by the fire, its orange glow flickering uncertainly.

breath lingered in the air, curling in ghostly plumes that drifted upward and dissolved into nothing. the cold pressed in on every surface, seeping through walls and windows as if determined to claim even this fragile refuge. the room smelled faintly of damp fabric, melted snow, and the metallic tang of old blood.

outside, the snow continued to fall, muffling the city’s usual sounds. the groans and shuffles of the undead were faint now, softened by the thick white blanket that coated the streets. a cluster of them moved sluggishly near a toppled streetsign, their dark, tattered forms stark against the snow. their heads turned with unnatural jerks, scanning for movement that wasn’t there.

the office building stood still and silent, like a watchtower in a barren wasteland of ruins that once formed a bustling city. from the upper windows, the world stretched out in shades of gray and white, a landscape both beautiful and dead. broken cars sat buried in snowbanks, their exposed metal beginning to rust. forgotten store signs swayed gently in the wind, their lettering barely legible under layers of frost.

and yet, despite the quiet, the city felt alive. not the kind of life it had once known—bustling streets, rushing footsteps, voices—but a new, relentless life. snow crunched under the weight of unseen things. a faint breeze carried the distant scrape of metal against concrete, or perhaps it was something clawing its way toward new prey.

winter had come to the city, smothering the chaos with its cold, unyielding grip.
