A Glee D/S RP set in Seabrook, New Hampshire. We happily accept all canon Glee characters as well as all original characters and a limited number of multiples.Mobile NavigationEver since the Submissive Gene was discovered to be a part of the human genome, there has been unbalance between Dominants and submissives. For hundreds of years, Dominants have held all of the power - and been allowed to wield it however they saw fit - while submissives have been systematically stripped of their rights and pushed further and further into societal obscurity. But when one half of a nation has undisputed authority over the other, things rarely run smoothly. Two powerful political parties have now emerged: the Traditionalists who want to retain the shrinking power base of the Dominants, and the Liberals who want to see greater balance between the two designations. There is also a third, less vocal but still distinct group of individuals who advocate for the growing identity of the Switch - or those who are able to shift freely between Dominance and submission. Switches are generally rejected by Traditionalists as too far outside the established norm, but not all Liberals see 'Switch' as a valid identity either. Now the pendulum of society is finally swinging the other way. Laws are being passed to grant submissives the rights they've been denied for centuries, but many Traditionalists continue to fight every step of the way. Run by the mysterious group known only as the Equity Council, St Brendan's Academy is a privately funded social experiment. The first and only one of its kind. Its purpose is to determine whether giving submissives back their rights (beginning with a proper education) will complement their submissive natures or simply make them more difficult for Dominants to control.<br...

Hello, everyone!
I want to thank all of you for all the contributions you've made, and all the fun we've had! St. Brendan's 2.0 was a very fun revamp, and I'm really glad I made the decision to bring it back last year. It's been hella awesome getting to reunite with so many folks from the old days, as well as meet new people and see how the verse of St. Brendan's could be reimagined.
That said, today I am closing the roleplay. It's not with a heavy heart, though, which is a huge consolation for me on a personal level. I really love this place and I love the characters in it, but I feel strongly that things here have run their course and that this is a natural endpoint to the story we've all been writing together.
As to the IC future of St. Brendan's:
Due to the intense and extensive structural damage sustained during the fire and explosion, the original St. Brendan's building had to be leveled. However, many personal items from the dormitories and classrooms that weren't destroyed were able to be recovered.
As a former graduate and active alum (re: donor) of Yale University, Nico was able to arrange not only for dormitory housing for all displaced St. Brendan's students and faculty on the Yale campus 2.5 hours south of Seabrook, he was also able to find available classrooms for most of the school's subjects to continue uninhibited. Only a handful of elective courses had to be discontinued for the time being.
Thanks to the tireless administrative and financial support of the Equity Council, construction will begin on a new St. Brendan's building on the same property in the spring; however, it will not be ready to receive students until spring 2019.
The national environment has calmed a little - for now. The events at St. Brendan's were part of a multi-faceted attack that targeted several locations, all of which were known to be harboring large numbers of Switches. Some of the other places that experienced fires or other vandalism on the morning of February 6 included a hospital in Atlanta, a prominent New Orleans inn, a bar and nightclub in the Village in Manhattan, and another progressive college in Oakland, California. It is not known at this time who was responsible, but several radical groups have already claimed involvement and the authorities continue to pursue all possible leads. Meanwhile, the majority of the country has rallied around the victims and families who were affected by the attacks, which have been decried far and wide as senseless acts of violence.
Nico's dedication to the school's mission continues, and is stronger than ever. He is planning to remain in Seabrook until cleared for travel by his doctor, after which time he'll be busily supervising the relocation of St. Brendan's residents down to their temporary lodgings in New Haven, CT.
If you'd like to keep playing in this verse, you're more than welcome to do so. At least a few of us probably will for some time. Just know that the main is closed and no more administrative things or plot drops will be taking place.
Thanks again for all the fun, everyone!

I’m posting this a little bit early to give folks a heads-up so you can wrap up any threads you’d like (though it’s not required) before the final plot drop, which will take place on Tuesday, February 6th. Details are below the cut.
(January 22nd Plot Drop)
(January 28th Plot Drop)
Things in Seabrook - and indeed, throughout the country - have been getting steadily worse instead of losing steam. Violent attacks targeting Switches have expanded to include those who’ve shown support for them as well. There have been multiple attempted shootings of Congressmen and women who supported OAR’s mission, and neighborhoods in larger cities with heavier concentrations of Switches have become the sites of numerous hate crimes. The authorities are doing the best they can, but the incidents have simply grown too numerous to manage. Each and every day seems to bring a more frightening headline and another list of names.
The body count is growing.
St. Brendan’s Academy is not only an infamously progressive school with a relatively large concentration of Switches - the school has also been very vocal about its support of them. With fear and panic steadily overtaking the country, it was only a matter of time before the school itself became a target of the violence.
In the bleak, early hours of Tuesday, February 6th, the halls of St. Brendan’s are silent and still. The first sign is the ominous grey haze that begins to drift down the hallways of the residence wing. Like a heavy curtain, it drags itself across the floor, seeping under doorways. A flickering glow has started to rise from an unoccupied room on the bottom floor, and finally the alarms detect the smoke and begin shrieking into the dark.
Chaos.
Residents wake and flood the corridors, seeking out friends and making for the exits, but it’s a dangerous struggle. The smoke is suffocating and the lights won’t turn on; everyone has to feel their way through the complete blackness of a cloudy night in search of safety.
But the alarms have triggered a call to the police and local fire station, and at last the lights of the first responders are shining off the school’s windows. The first brave few are preparing to enter the building when the unthinkable happens.
An explosion.
Vibrations tear through the foundation. Seconds later, a sizable section of the school’s faculty wing collapses in on itself. Shards of glass and brick and stone are hurled into the darkness.
Hours and hours later, a sun without warmth begins to rise on the shattered remains of what was once St. Brendan’s.
------------
OOC: Whew! Get your tissues and Xanax ready! An unidentified arsonist will elude security and manage to infiltrate the school at around 1am on Tuesday morning. The fire is set on the first floor of the residence wing, in an unoccupied room. Smoke alarms go off and rouse everyone, and police and firefighters are just arriving when an improvised explosive goes off in a second part of the school.
It’s entirely up to you what happens next. The other reason I posted this early is to give folks a chance to plot with each other. Injuries and even character death do not need to be run by me before they happen, just ensure you’re tagging things appropriately.
Because it would be a little unrealistic for students to be on the internet while they’re evacuating a school that’s on fire, for this event I highly recommend para threads on the dash. You can do multiple threads, open threads, threads with multiple people - anything goes. To make sure everyone has plenty of time to participate, this event will run for one full week, from February 6-12. During that time, please focus on event-related interactions. These can be during any of the events described above, or the immediate aftermath.
As always, any questions can be directed to the main!

(January 22nd’s Plot Drop)
January 28, 2017:
Despite the best efforts and precautions undertaken by the CDC and OAR, in the end, it just wasn’t enough. No one is quite sure how, but it seems that vital information on the security protocol of CDC’s internal network was leaked and a group of hackers were able to bypass the coding that had been put in place to protect the DNA samples and identifying data of donor Switches.
Worse still, this powerful hacker group - whom authorities have still not managed to identify - have taken the names and addresses stored in the CDC’s files and made them available en masse online. The anonymity that was promised has evaporated overnight, and all individuals who chose to participate in OAR’s program have now been publicly outed as Switches.
While most citizens are still reeling from this unexpected turn of events, some unfortunate effects are already being witnessed throughout the country. Well-established and formerly trusted members of society - doctors, clergy, attorneys, city council members, teachers, a Governor, police officers, business owners - have seen their reputations shatter overnight.
Despite Senator Howell’s hopeful words, it seems that a significant percentage of the U.S. population still views Switches as mentally unstable and subversive. Many individuals arrived at their jobs the following day only to be fired. Family members are turning on each other, and there have been increasing reports of physical attacks against Switches. Conversion therapy “camps” that promise parents that their children are not too far gone to still have their thoughts corrected suddenly have full waiting lists.
It has always been widely believed that Switches were just a rare abnormality. Something bizarre. Taboo, yes, but too scarce to really warrant that much concern. But suddenly, it seems as though just about everyone knows someone on that list. There are thousands of Switches. Hundreds of thousands. And everyone’s asking each other the same question, which is thought-provoking for some, and bone-chillingly terrifying for others:
What does it mean?

Congrats, Wolfie(!), on your newest character, Dominant Professor Alexander O’Connell! Please send his blog into the main when you can!
OOC Information:
Name: Wolfie! Pronouns: He/Him Age: 23 Timezone: EST Activity Description: What am I doing anymore? I practically live on St Bs. 7/10
IC Information:
Character Name: Alexander O'Connell Age: 29 FC: Michiel Huisman Designation: Dominant (Closeted Switch) Occupation: Professor of Self-Defense Is this a Temporary Character (2 month limit)?: No Kinks: Open to anything that isn’t on anti-kinks Anti-Kinks: Humiliation/degradation, electrocution play, watersports, scat, vore, heavy gore (mutilation), non/dub consent, sissification, infantilism, needle play, wax play, foot play, permanent scaring
Biography:
Right from the moment Alexander was born, he was destined to not live. Born two months too early, the doctors told his parents to not keep their hopes too high for if he did live past the first month, he would have many complications in life. Though he proved them wrong by surviving past the first month, Alexander did suffer some complications that would prove to make his life a little more difficult. Eye sight and hearing loss was two of the big things in his life that stumped him in some way. Though he grew up to be a bright, happy child, his parents didn’t want him to be alienated from the rest of his peers, opting to go through with a cochlear hearing implant when he was a year old (After much bribing and blackmailing). Even as an adult, he is thankful for his parents deciding to do that, giving him the ability to understand speech and recognize music and sounds.
However, even with the implants, he became slightly alienated for that very thing. Though as an adult, he no longer needs glasses (having gone through eye surgery to correct that as an adult), he grew up defending himself in fights in schools, and standing up to those who bullied other kids who were different. As a child, Alexander was very much the leader type individual, giving no doubt that he would be marked as a Dominant at 11. But even then, there was a part of Alex that he felt was missing—many often mistaking that he was just missing the right claim.
Coming from a well off, traditionalist family in Ireland, there was somethings that were just wasn’t talked about—which included switches. When he was in college, he started experimenting with the thought of submitting; talking to others who were experiencing the same thoughts and feelings. Alex was starting to become comfortable with the thought of being a switch, liking when he submitted to those he truly trusted with that secret. However, he put his trust in the wrong person and word got out.
Changing schools to finish his education, Alex went into the closet about being a switch until he came to the states.
Spending some time in New York City, Alex experienced the darker side of the big apple, keeping mostly to himself to what he was up to, but eventually, he started becoming well known under the name “Leo”. He kept his identity a secret, for fear of it tracking back to his family back in Ireland. After getting his degree in teaching as well as advancing to be an instructor in self defense. Wanting a change of pace and finally feel safe once again, Alex traveled north of the city to New Hampshire to a school that gave opportunities to all designations, including switches. Though he is still staying in the closet, he is more content with the thought of just starting fresh where no one knows his name—at least, as far as he is aware of.

Congrats, Heather, on your new character, Dominant Professor Noelle Wilde! Please send in her blog to the main when you can!
OOC Information:
Name: Heather Pronouns: She/her Age: 26 Timezone: EST Activity Description: 7/10, I work two jobs but i love this place so much i’m on EVEn at work
IC Information:
Character Name: Noelle Charlotte Wilde ( Cousin to the Wilde family ) Age: 29 FC: Amber Heard Designation: Dominant Occupation: Professor of Life in a Claimed Relationship Is this a Temporary Character (2 month limit)?: No Kinks: Pain play, blood play, TPE, age play, pet play, anything not on anti. Anti-Kinks: Gore, vore, noncon
Biography: Noelle Wilde was born into a traditional household, having it be the only thing that her family was taught it was soon all she would ever know. Her parents were both Dominants and with claims of their own, and with that it left a strong impact on Noelle’s life. She was always taken care of by her parents’ submissives and that set the mold on the kind of life she was going to lead. She was either going to be the one taking care of someone, or the one being taken care of. The anxiousness of what the test would reveal in regards to her mark kept her up late at night. Would she be considered a disappointment in regards to parents or would they still love her despite what the test said. It wasn’t some thing she had to dwell on too much though, because the tests came back designating her to be a Dominant and much like Noelle expected, her parents were absolutely thrilled about it. The list of expectations were soon made and Noelle had to hope she could live and reach every single one of them. Especially as a female Dominant in such a conservative house where the men were considered much stronger and more dominant themselves than the woman. But Noelle would never let a man overpower her. Her mother and father taught her to be hard and strong, never taking no for an answer and making sure that she was being taken care of by her future submissive. There was no blur of colors in Noelle’s eyes, only a black and white film. Schooling was a breeze – especially since Noelle was a bright and eager student. Her education was spent basically trying to put more authority behind her name, demanding Mistress as a title and throwing out punishments if a submissive blinked wrong. And she left her education with a teaching degree and a submissive of her own. A sweet boy who was good to and for her – without the expectations of being in love. Love didn’t have any place in a claim, and she wouldn’t even humor the idea, as much as she cared for her boy. When it came to find a teaching job, Oliver directed her to St. Brendan’s. It was a school that she heard her mother talking to her Aunt about numerous of times that was known for their taste of liberal tendencies that her cousin Cordelia was now attending. A part of her believed her cousin would need some help, and a part of her knew that even a liberal school needed a bit of tradition behind it. A part of her worried it was her submissive trying to send her some kind of message – but she’d never let that show. It was certainly going to be out of her comfort zone, but Noelle Wilde never backed down from a challenge.

JANUARY 22, 2018. 6:15 AM EST.
An excerpt from a popular news channel’s report:
Good morning, and thank you for joining us this frosty AM!
Big developments are underway in Washington, insiders on the Hill are reporting. As many of you may already know, a bill that was passed with relatively little fanfare just before the House and Senate broke for the new year established a new department within the Center for Disease Control: The Office for Atypical Research.
There has been plenty of speculation about the purpose of this mysterious new department, but early this morning, during a press conference from the Senate Press Gallery, Senator Angus Howell confirmed controversial rumors of its function. Patty, let’s roll the clip!
“The purpose of the Office for Atypical Research, or OAR as some of us are now calling it, is - uh - well, it’s pretty simple, frankly. For a very long time now, Switches have been forced to live on the outer edges of society. Now if you know me at all, you’re well aware that I’m not exactly easily frustrated. But let me tell you, it’s been hard to change certain minds, or even open them up a fraction, to the idea that Switches are just as legitimate as the rest of us.
Now, I (and honestly, all of us here in Congress) realize that even just saying that much is likely to anger plenty of people, but please hear me out. Arguing back and forth between politicians is just not going to get us anywhere on this issue. We’ve learned that. And although our Conservative and Liberal members don’t agree on too much, we can agree that it’s past time to take the next logical step, and put the question into the hands that are best equipped to answer it once and for all. That’s right. We’ve got to bring in the scientists, folks.
We’ve established OAR and approved a budget for them and everything is in place, and now these guys - and gals, I certainly don’t mean to leave anybody out - uh, these people, it’s going to be their job to collect the research and look at the facts. That’s what we all should really be looking for, right? The facts. We need to let science show us where the truth is, no matter how things eventually shake out and what the research shows.
So OAR is going to do exactly that. They’re going to get in there and explore the Switch mindset, and collect as much data as they can from anyone who’s willing to give it, and compile a series of deep-dive studies to present to Congress. The first one already has a due date, and it’s by the end of this year so they know we really mean it [chuckles from the audience]. And the overarching purpose of OAR’s research should be pretty clear by now, but in case it’s not, I’ll go ahead and spell it out: they’re looking for a Switch Gene. Whether there’s something in there, you know, biologically that can explain to us what’s going on. We want to know what’s driving certain people to stop connecting with the Designation our current tests show they should be.
I’ll freely admit, we all have our biases here on the Hill. We can’t help it; it’s part of why you elected us. But OAR will be absolutely impartial. We’ve given them everything they need to start out with, all the cutting-edge technology and funding and approvals to do some really solid, evidence-based stuff, but they’re going to need data to work with.. and that’s the biggest reason why I invited you all here this morning.
OAR needs samples. Blood vials, DNA swabs, samples of hair.. from anyone and everyone who identifies themselves as a Switch. You can submit your samples and remain completely anonymous, so there shouldn’t be any fear there. The contact information OAR asks you to provide is for their internal uses only and won’t be shared outside the CDC under any circumstances. Their website is up and operational already, right off the CDC’s main page. If you’re interested in being a sample donor, it’s absolutely free, and you would be making a huge, personalized contribution to the advancement of not only science, but also to the possibility of establishing a brand new, official Switch Designation.. with all the rights that would afford.
I hope that all Switches out there right now are listening, and that you’ll consider becoming a part of this program. There’s no reason why you should be treated the way you are. There’s a biological basis at the heart of all of this, and I’m confident that with your help, we can find it.”
#stb: event#stb: oar#i am bringing back this awful graphic#more out of nostalgia than anything#but LBR i also couldn't be assed to make something new#get off my caaaaaase

Congrats Geoff on your latest accepted character, scorned submissive Cordelia Wilde! Please send her blog to the main when you can. Thanks!
OOC Information:
Name: Geoff Pronouns: He/Him Age: 24 Timezone: EST Activity Description: 6/10, like usual, I’m… very busy, and here I am applying for a third character. Wow.
IC Information:
Character Name: Cordelia “Cordie” Elizabeth Wilde Age: 22 FC: Becca Tobin Designation: Submissive Occupation: Third Year Student Is this a Temporary Character (2 month limit)?: Nope! Kinks: Petplay, DDLG, Impact Play, TPE, Objectification, and bondage. Anti-Kinks: Scat, Vore, anything with needles or feet.
Biography:
Cordelia Wilde has always been brought up in a very religious family that was very strict with their views on life. The Wilde family consisted of their Dominant parents, a mother and father, and their parents’ submissives, who helped them around the home with miscellaneous things. Cordelia’s upbringing consisted of being a proper figure in society, which meant going to church every Sunday for worship, participating (and winning) beauty pageants, learning to play the piano, tending her family’s outhouse garden, learning to sew, along with other traditional things that brought up a proper woman. Though her mother was a Dominant, she was always reminded that women were naturally more subservient than men. It didn’t bother her, and honestly when she was signified as a submissive, it made Cordie quite relieved more than anything. She didn’t want to have to be a Domme, she didn’t find joy in any of the things her mother tried to let her experience, so it was a lot of weight off of her.
By the age of 16, Cordelia was set up into an arranged claim with one of the boys that she attended school with. His name was Raymond and he was an utter delight to Cordie. The two seemed perfect to her, and she would always make sure to take care of him, even though they were quite young still. Once they turned old enough, Cordie was shocked to hear that Ray wanted to leave to study abroad and that he’d come back after schooling to claim her, since he was going to be attending an all male school. To keep her occupied, Cordelia requested from Ray that she was allowed to go to advance her schoooling, who then talked to her parents. They were reluctant, mainly because submissives never needed past schooling, but they figured it would keep her entertained as well as broaden her talents by giving her more knowledge about more things. Somewhere along the way- approximately two years into waiting for him to come back, Ray had written her telling her that the entire engagement between the two had been called off due to him no longer having interest in her. He had found a submissive of his own while studying in Sweden, which caused her to be utterly crushed.
When she told her parents about said occasion, they blamed her and how she needed to be challenged more to keep a Dominant’s interest. That’s why, though they knew she didn’t need to continue her schooling, she was enrolled in a different school: St. Brendan’s. It was far away from Louisiana, however it was going to be the biggest challenge. They wanted to challenge her to be the best submissive by sending her to a school that would challenge her in every way possible. Cordelia saw this as a punishment for not keeping Ray entertained enough while he was overseas, but ultimately, she figured if anything, she would maybe find someone who would find her just as interesting as Ray had originally. The girl isn’t fully thrilled about the idea of changing schools, but a Wilde never backs down from a challenge they know they can do well in.
