"Coax it out of me how?" she playfully retorted, face scrunching at the boop. Reaching up to boop him in return, she tilted her head for a moment as something occurred to her.

It can't be getting close to Ebb Day for him can it? she thought. I don't think so, he most likely wouldn't have brought me on vacation if it was... "Sweetheart, what's going on, what's got you so flustered?" she asked softly, her hands sliding down to curl around his as she looked up at him, a flicker of worry in her eyes.

“ I love you, dear. ” And have a smooch.

Those words were not new coming from Thea's lips, nor from Rafayel's. However, something about it was different this time.

His ears flushed red as he returned the kiss, eyebrow creasing as he tried to compose himself. He spared a glance out at the view from the balcony of their seaside hotel as he desperately told his heart to slow down.

Once that prove ineffective, he returned his deep ocean eyes of affection back to her. "I love you too," he whispered.

He wrapped an arm around her and gently pulled her into his side. His nose nuzzled into her red hair. "I'm glad we took this trip. It's just me, you, the ocean, and whatever cute stunts you decide to pull."

Tilting her head slightly, Thea reached up and brushed her fingers over the red spots on his ears. "You okay?" she asked softly, laying her head against his chest with a smile.

Looking up at him when he returned the sentiment, she paused and gave him a flat stare, the corners of her mouth just barely twitching. "What do you mean stunts? Maybe I don't feel like it this trip." And there go the giggles.

Althea nodded with a smile as she washed out the bowl and started mixing the next cake flavor. "That's fair," she smiled, leaning up to kiss his cheek. "I'll let you know when I decide, okay?"

Turning back to the cake batter, she poured it into the remaining cake pan just as the oven dinged for the first one. Pulling it out and flipping it over onto the rack to cool, she hummed under her breath as she filled the second pan and slid it into the oven. Once she set the timer again, she turned and grinned at her boyfriend. "Cuddle time until i have to get it out to cool?"

Althea thought for a moment. "Neither, I'd rather be trapped in a Walmart. Now hear me out, I'd be able to sleep in the camping department, and get food from the grocery department," she giggled. "What about you?"

"Oh please no," Althea whined, setting the plate down and leaning into the nuzzles. "Ah well, I guess I'll deal when the time comes." She did have a year to prepare after all.

"Here Xavier, I made breakfast to make up for everything you had to go through yesterday," Althea said as she offered a plate of sausage, eggs and blueberry muffins. Even if she hadn't been a part of it, she felt like he deserved this.

"You had fun though, you're the only one who can push their luck around me."

He nuzzled into her neck and grinned.

"Next year its your turn."
