if you look through mychal’s twitter and typed steff you will see a lot of tweets about steph aka his son in law yes yes !! i believe he said on a tweet once that steff was just easier to type than steph so he stuck with it ever since ajksjss i agree that is so so cute! <<3

been having some thoughts after last night’s game, so maybe,, steph/klay + 1, 2, and/or 4 (i couldn’t decide lol) for the OTP ask game? (only if you’re up for it, ofc!)

Hello, anon! Thank you for the ask. I always have thoughts about Steph and Klay.

1) Who would end a heated argument by defending their actions with ‘because I love you!’ ? - I think this is most likely to be Klay, largely because I feel like Steph is less likely to be bottled up to that point. That said, I don't think that's suuuper likely for them, because I feel like they'd generally be better at communicating through things, especially if it's the type of argument that could be capped off with, "because I love you."

2) What would they do if the other woke in a manic state after a nightmare? - I feel like manic is probably the wrong word. We'll say distraught. So! Steph wakes up distraught? I imagine Klay soothes him. Rests a hand on his shoulder, pulls him in if Steph seems receptive, which he does. So Klay pulls Steph in against his shoulder and Steph rests his head against Klay's shoulder, and once his heart rate slows back down, Steph turns and kisses Klay's cheek, and they go back to bed.

Klay wakes up distraught? Steph has to give him space at first. Klay doesn't do too well with touch, with feeling smothered. So Steph goes to get him a glass of water, because he has to do something. And when he gets back, Klay is usually ready for him, usually looks up when Steph comes back into the room and holds out his hand, for Steph or the water Steph is never sure, so he hands him the water and sits nexts to him in bed, shoulders touching as Klay drinks the water. And when Klay finishes, he exhales, and rests his forehead against Steph's shoulder, and Steph pulls them both back down to sleep.

4) Which one is more protective? Who needs to be ‘protected’?

I think they're both probably equally protective of each other. I think everyone, including Klay, probably thinks Steph is the one who needs more protection. I think it might actually be Klay. Especially after the injuries, I think he has a lot of fear about who he is, and what he'll have to be when the sport leaves him. Steph sees that, but he may not know how to help him through it so instead he does his best to shield him and stave off the stupid questions. But Steph thinks about it, too.
