Steve Nollau: Component Positioning
Steve Nollau has fourteen years of major advertising agency account service and planning experience, on both the client and agency sides. And that has provided him with a broad and deep understanding of advertising, marketing, and brand strategy.
He is the co-owner, President, and Chief Strategy Officer at Brädo Creative Insight, a strategic marketing research agency based in St. Louis. In spite of its Midwest roots, the firm works only for large global clients. “Sixty percent of our business,” Steve Nollau says, “is from international projects, which have taken us to over sixty cities in over twenty-five countries.”
He says the company prides itself on innovation, and thinking outside the box. One method is what they call Component PositioningÔ. The Brädo Creative Insight Component Positioning process breaks down the typical positioning statement into four distinct components in order to identify the precise language that generate customer engagement and action. The process, he says, is ideal for new products or for breathing new life into existing brands.
Steve Nollau spent ten years at DMB&B as a Senior Vice President, and Group Account Director in charge of strategy for the Budweiser brand. Later he moved on to client side marketing, first at Taco Bell and later at McDonald’s. He holds a Journalism degree from the University of Missouri.
