Irvine Korean Cultural Festival - A Celebration for Everyone

The Irvine Korean Cultural Festival was held on Saturday, May 13 at the Irvine Civic Center. Since 2010, this annual event has been used to celebrate Korean heritage and showcase various aspects of the culture to anyone who might be curious. The inside of the Civic Center building had tables displaying arts, crafts, and educational materials on such activities as K-pop. Outside, people crowded the plaza and the parking lot, where performers played music, danced, and demonstrated taekwondo onstage. All around, vendors selling different cuisine options, including twisted potatoes, barbecue squid, and Turkish ice cream called dondurma. Judging from all the clapping and eating, many people enjoyed the experience.
