I fear I made a mistake in requesting Fairydale on Netgalley 🙃....

I thought it would be fine from the description. Upon opening the ebook, I looked at the trigger warnings, and I do not like them at all. 😬

I'll give it a go, but I have a feeling the romance is going to give me the biggest ick. Hopefully, the storyline is good enough to write a review. Otherwise, I'm going to have to submit it back without a review.

This has been a lovely month!! I saw MCR, ACOTAR 6 was announced, we get a little sneak peek at an IF bonus chapter, and I was approved for some Netagalley stories 😆. My thirst has been quenched.

I am reblogging a post I made a while back. It has my theory of who the new brother could be since this post by RY has everyone talking about theirs. After this post, I am holding firm on my theory. *clears throat, acting like we are all in a classroom* If we open our books to page 521 to the infamous new brother paragraph, ...to my new brother and unconscious dragon lying in the valley beyond the canyon, guarded by seven wyvern. How could he do this? Choose this after watching me stumble and fall over the last five months. How could he willingly walk the path I've fought like hell to leave? He's the last person I ever would have expected to turn, and yet here we are.

It's the new brother comment from above and Garrick calling Xaden brother where I'm still a believer in my theory. (I do feel like adding a few another candidates as to who the new brother could be because of the last five months comment.)

🌩Fourth Wing Foreshadowing for Onyx Storm Ending

I did not come up with all of this. I saw it on a suggested threads post and just wanted to chat further about it.

Remember, in Fourth Wing, the characters are playing the first war game, which is to keep their flag safe and steal an EGG. Dain is given orders to protect Fourth Wing's flag and on pg. 356 (hardcover), who says they will be stealing the egg? Xaden. In an interview, RY said she already knew the ending of OS while writing FW. It is coming around full circle.

As I went back to look at it, I saw something else. On the first page of chapter 29, we see that Garrick is the one to show off the crystal egg. There is speculation as to who the new brother is at the end of OS. Some say Garrick, some say Bodhi. I quite personally say Bodhi due to RY saying Bodhi does whatever Xaden does. Bodhi is seen retching his guts in Imogen's POV. Also, Bodhi kept insisting he could help when Violet was facing Theophanie but was carried away once Violet said no. He seemed like he had more of the helpless feeling than Garrick did. I really do believe Garrick took a team to extract the eggs. I'm also starting to wonder if Dain might be part of the missing riders helping Garrick. It's a BIG giant, maybe, but Dain was the one seen next to Garrick holding the flag after war games, and Dain has developed in this book.

Does anyone listen to Even in Arcadia by Sleep Token and think one yes Vessel I have been waiting long and I would happily wait even more if needed (also he needs a hug) and two when the final battle of the Empyrean series happens? Is that just me? I just sit there listening to the lyrics and thinking of Violet. I can actually visualize it. Adarna is spitting out a piece of a wyvern, Tairn has blood dripping down his face, Violet whips out her daggers (or the sword) facing down the final villian controling the venin. I have chills every time I hear it. 💜

Well damn... I think I like Quicksilver..

I'm listening to the audiobook only. I have seen way too many mixed reviews and tiny spoiler lines from the book (they were pretty cringy) that I don't want to buy it unless I'm absolutely in love with the plot and the characters. Saw the audiobook on the library website and thought, why not give it a go.

The audiobook does the same thing Anathema does where we hear the one voice male actor and the one female voice actress actually interacting with each other rather than being separate.

The fact that it's the "Rhysand" voice actor might put the nail on the coffin for me because I love his voice! 😆

Does anyone else go to bed after reading going "I can't wait to finish that book in the morning!", and then wake up the next morning having lost all motivation to pick it up?
