Me like a month ago, watching a vod of a friend playing Ham-Ham Heartbreak: instantly recognizes Beethoven's "Moonlight Sonata" and names it correctly
Me yesterday, playing Rain Code: not only mistakes Chopin's "Nocturne op 9 no 2" as "Moonlight Sonata," but then hears the latter play like 5 minutes later
Apparently all it takes is a month to get my classical piano piece knowledge check on the same piece from nat 20 to nat 1...
#even worse was that i literally sat there listening to nocturne until it looped instead of advancing dialogue#y'all i had a crisis. i pulled up the shazam website bc i was so confused#and then i was losing it bc i knew i played nocturne but couldn't remember the piece's name at all#i knew it wasn't clair de lune bc I'm a certified hater of that song and could never be tricked into liking it#also that wasn't my piece it was one i heard practiced or played way too many times#my only hope of finding the song was finding someone in the comments of a clip of austria from hetalia playing nocturne on a beach at night#i mean tbf I've played both of those (well only 1st movement of moonlight) but it's not even the same composer how did i biff this so badly#writing on a stickiy note
