“YOU PSYCHO BASTARD!” —Trent to Dani

Meet Dani!! A 17 year old, 5’7 Mexican boy. He is troubled, and has heavily referenced/hinted undiagnosed aspd.

His mother was a piece of shit, and his dad worked out of state so she sent him to Bullworth. His implied ASPD was likely passed down from his mother who displayed impulsivity, violence, and more towards him from a young age. The scar on his cheek comes from when she used a broken glass to cut his face,,

Dani is extremely misunderstood. His quick jumps to violence made him an easy target as everyone continuously provokes him. He tends to hustle with the cliques, doing favours in exchange for a good chunk of money. He is also a floater member of the jocks, though he refuses to commit to them and fight with/for them. If he attacks anyone, it won’t be because they wronged someone in a group of people he doesn’t care all that much about.

To pass time he plays the acoustic guitar. He is passionate about music, and tends to listen to and sing old spanish songs that his mother loved. He is a great musician, and he can be extremely passionate about a variety of things. His music taste varies.

Whilst he’s deeply into violence and practices it often, he refuses to beat up the younger kids or the girls (but with the girls, if they initiate something he will definitely fight back).

The preps view him as their dog which usually instigates physical and verbal fights between him and them. They see him as their errand boy, but most times he says nothing because they pay a decent amount. He just hates being looked down on.

In addition to his hobbies, he often goes to the Glass Jaw Boxing Gym (boxing mostly with chad, tad and bif) and carries the school’s wrestling team. He’s a good assist in sports, which is why Ted and the rest of the Jocks let him off the hook despite the fact that he’s a floater member.

Dani’s romantic interest is Bif (although, he doesn’t care much about gender). Dani sees potential in Bif, and is unhappy with the fact that he’s Derby’s right hand man because he has the assets to be more than that. Bif appreciates Dani’s strong character, and his passion towards his interests. Whilst Bif is one of the less snobby and aggressive preps, they still fight a lot over eachother’s decisions. Bif believes Dani should tone down his behaviour, whilst Dani doesn’t care and seems to lack remorse towards his wrongdoings. He argues a lot with Bif about how pathetic his decision was to keep being Derby’s ‘sidekick’.

(slightly unrelated sidenote: Boxing is their form of intimacy/love language) (He can soften up with Bif from time to time, especially when they’re alone in the boxing gym. He tries to be nicer to him and at times does favours for free or for really cheap)

Now moving towards Jimmy & Dani,,

Jimmy’s first impression of Dani was that he was just like all the other kids at school. Probably part of a clique, aggressive, violent & pathetic. They’ve had a few fights (sometimes Jimmy winning, sometimes Dani winning) but afterwards Dani was a lot more understanding towards him and decided to talk it out

Post Chapter 5 Dani is a lot more chill, he still fights quite a bit but the school doesn’t feel like a battleground.

He was still aggressive and suffered from his (implied) disorder but he seemed a lot more willing to be chill. He’s already a decent guy deep down, after the cliques stopped their wars he seemed to show that decency a little more

(another sidenote: whilst the clique wars were happening, Dani didn’t get involved. Mostly because he knew this was hosted by Gary, and he knew Jimmy was trying to stop people. Whilst he was more understanding towards Jimmy, he also didn’t bother/care about helping him with this.)

Overall, Dani is mellow. A lot of the time when he’s not fighting or doing boxing/wrestling or music, he can be seen just being silly. Graffiti, skipping classes, etc. He gets into fights, but he can be an alright guy when unprovoked. He might respond with aggression or a rough tone but it’s just how he talks, and most times he doesn’t mean anything by it. He can be this really unpredictable mix of short fused and laid-back, he’s sort of a wild card and his character can often be hard to explain/describe (i hope this made sense)
