a little heads up! my activity will probably be a bit spotty for the next couple of days. i'm driving to nashville tomorrow, and then driving back home on tuesday. i'll be around here and there, but my focus will be elsewhere!

she knew she couldn't go home. she'd heard her mother yelling from outside her window, and cassie was not ready to deal with that yet. and so cassie stays small, and leaps from her fire escape to the neighboring one. she can already see him sitting inside, completely oblivious to her presence outside his window. she simply looked at him for a moment, before allowing herself to grow back to her normal size, and reaching out to gently knock on his window.

she doesn't wait for him to let her in, pushing the window open as she slipped inside. she removed the domino mask as she plopped down onto his bed, setting the mask down on his nightstand. "mom's on the warpath," she says with a huff. "i would much rather hide out here with you."

i am once again thinking about how we were robbed of seeing any of the young avengers' reactions to cassie being alive. OR AVENGERS EITHER, FOR THAT MATTER

with @hitsharder appearing on my dash today (WHICH MADE MY NIGHT) i am thinking about how cassie is pretty well versed in asl, because she learned from her uncle clint

it has been fourteen years since children's crusade. i need marvel to at least acknowledge that jonas existed. i need cassie to talk in canon about her feelings about nate killing jonas.

rereading young avengers stuff, and i once again want to just note that cassie has very complicated feelings when it comes to wanda. PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS NOT ANTI-WANDA. after the conversation in children's crusade, cassie understands what wanda was going through a little more, and while she did twist reality to allow scott to come with them back to the present without causing a paradox, it doesn't change the fact that wanda killed scott. that hurt and trauma is still there, and it's something she's working through.

she doesn't hate her, though. not anymore, at least. but that doesn't mean that wanda is cassie's favorite person in the world
