Apparently I can post on here again?
I got a couple notifications of new followers so I took a look and somehow apparently I can post on here again I guess? I abandoned this tumblr because it was marked as mature only then when Tumblr moved to ban that stuff years ago my account ended up in limbo.

Second, unfortunately something with the shader I use to do the stone transition effect doesn’t agree with the Oculus Shaders I used to make the thing. I can run it in the Unity Editor but it won’t let me publish.
With that being said, literally what you saw is what you got and it really isn’t worth releasing to be honest. Maybe eventually I’ll make something longer I can release, but I have non fetish projects in the works first because I want to be able to show off my skills to more than just you people, no offense meant.

Unfortunately, the site I uploaded the game to doesn’t seem to have an easy way to update it without deleting the game and reuploading it which would probably break progress so I don’t want to risk it fixing it, although I’m sad there was a broken link this whole time. How's the game coming along?
The short of it is I haven’t touched it since December.
The long of it is it was meant as a project for me to work on when I was bored, and I haven’t been bored very often recently. With that being said, I’m not sure there’s going to be progress on it any time soon as my IRL friends are getting into Unity and asking me questions, and I’m embarrassed that the only substantial project I’ve ever done in it is something I can’t possibly show them. This issue also extends to the CYOA Still Life story I’ve written: I’m extremely proud of it as I never expected anybody to tell me it touched them enough to make them cry, and yet nobody I know in real life will ever know I wrote it. As such, I’ll probably be focusing more on non-fetish endeavors for the time being.

Let’s Talk About Me
As those of you who hung out with me a lot on Discord may have noticed, I’ve been silent a lot more recently. Previously, I had mentioned this is because I’ve been kept busy by other things like video games and life in general. While that’s mostly true, that isn’t quite the whole story.
Just a warning that things are about to get ever-so-slightly more adult than usual on here, and that this is going to be me going on quite a long rambling talk about personal things.
In 2007, I received my first computer that was just for myself. Late one night, out of curiosity, I searched for “Petrification” on YouTube. I had always been fascinated by scenes involving the subject matter (and quicksand too for that matter) but never really knew why. It was that week that I realized I had a fetish and others did too, and my fascination was sexual in nature. I told myself I’d never really get involved in the community, and well, here I am.
In spite of this and in spite of the fact that I was a teenager which naturally meant I was going through puberty, though, I had never really explored the sexual side of things too much. This may be hard to believe given I have created artwork for this fetish, written stories, and browsed items on the subject matter for years, but I actually had never...*ahem*...pleasured myself. Not when I first found the subject, not at non-fetish material (I actually hadn’t and as a matter of fact *still* haven’t watched regular old porn), never.
That is, until late last year at age 26. A couple of things changed. First, someone I know in real life had told a story mentioning that “everybody does it in the shower from time to time.” Second, I finally realized that I basically had no real sexual experience of any kind and should I ever find myself in a situation where the real deal presented itself (however unlikely), I would have zero clue how my body would react. So, I started doing the deed.
As soon as I started, I became very upset at myself for two reasons. First, as you’re all probably aware, it feels great and I could have tried this way sooner. Second and of more relevance to this whole rant, I became upset because I’ve basically entered Puberty 2: Electric Boogaloo. I’m not a doctor, but I do know that I had never really understood why people complained about going through so many emotional problems during puberty. I mean, sure, I underwent some change but not as much as I expected. Well, it turns out I believe a big chunk of that accompanies what’s supposed to come during puberty: sexual experimentation. Long story short, my body and mind have started undergoing the kind of changes one would associated with puberty, but now in my mid-20s.
It’s not fun. I thought I had my desires and personality mostly figured out, but I’ve had a curveball thrown in. I get stronger urges, I think about things that turn me on more, and get more easily distracted. To be honest and frank, I hate it. Now I’ll get way more turned on way more unexpectedly and my hormones are out of control. It’s kind of scary to me.
What makes it more scary, naturally, is that my fetishes aren’t the most wholesome. This has come up several times on discord, but for those who aren’t on there, allow me to burst your bubble: there’s quite a few similarities between rape and the inanimate transformation fetish. It boils down to the woman having no control over her situation and something happening against her will to her for your sexual gratification. This has always been a thing that’s made me sort of uncomfortable with what I like, but as fate would have it, I have become more forced to confront this recently.
Shortly after I started pleasuring myself, the Harvey Weinstein reckoning that eventually grew into the MeToo movement kicked off. I would read horrible stories of what actresses and women in various workplaces were facing and feel awful...then turn around and pleasure myself to women being literally objectified...then turn around again and feel awful about what I’ve done. It got to the point where I stopped looking things up as much because I just felt too bad, and that moreso than anything is why I haven’t said as much on Discord. I realize this sounds a bit like I’m saying “I’m the real victim of this movement!” so to clarify, this is absolutely a national conversation that needs to be had: it was just a weird coincidence that it entered the picture at the same time I’ve had a sort of sexual awakening.
With that being said, my guilt has subsided slightly for a few reasons. First, I’ve found my mind has a sort of mental emergency break apparently. I know this sounds absolutely crazy, but every now and then when I’m getting really turned on by an ASFR situation and I have a particularly dark thought, a sort of shoulder angel voice inside my head will basically yell “Uh, back off on that! Think something else!” What makes this sound even crazier is that it makes me feel better about myself: my brain can still be in control even when things get steamy and steer me towards happier thoughts.
Second, I basically concede that I like what I like and I’m not sure I can change that. I’ve tried moving away from fetish stuff and getting my kicks from less dubious matter, but at the end of the day, something makes me think of statues and quicksand and it turns me on. So, I might as well just go with it.
Finally, I’ve also realized that I am definitely a switch when it comes to these things. Indeed, part of why I like my fetishes is a loss of power on the transformee/sinkee. While I most often think of women being turned to stone, I find myself also being very turned on by women having a similar power over me. Of particular interest is the idea that I am so turned on by a powerful women that I’ll do anything for them even if it means certain doom for me (such as turning to stone). An example would be an extremely beautiful gorgon: I know her eyes would turn me to stone and I should look away, but I’m powerless against her charms and look anyways because she’s so beautiful. It makes me feel a bit better about this whole thing knowing I’d be perfectly happy to have the tables turned on me.
So, to summarize: I started masturbating way too late in life, my hormones are going crazy, this scares me so I stopped talking about things that turn me on as much, but I’ve basically said “fuck it” which is why I’m here. Why am I saying all of this? To be honest, I don’t really know. I guess I just feel like it’s something I needed to get off my chest and to explain why I’ve been sort of absent for a while.

Dream Journal - January 15th, 2018
I originally had an idea on my quicksand channel to write down any time I had a fetish related dream with the hopes that writing about them will inspire stories or cause them to occur more often. The latter most likely was not true because I wrote my first entry in the quicksand dream journal in January 17th of last year, then had absolutely zero fetish related dreams until last night.
So, last night’s dream was strange because it followed a pattern a lot of my dreams do in which it can’t figure out whether I’m watching a TV show or participating in it, so the flow may be a bit hard to follow.
After a long section in a theme park which is irrelevant to this fetish, I was in Japan in a helicopter with an interior the size of a charter bus with several Japanese women in their early 20s (clearly, my brain was not striving for realism). We end up landing at which point my dream cuts to TV show mode as we cut to a setup scene. There is a Super Sentai/Power Rangersish monster of the week ordering some smaller monsters to dig up some kind of artifact. One of the minor monsters digs up the artifact and immediately turns into a bronze statue. The artifact, it seems, turns anybody around it into bronze using an effect I later termed “Bronze Aura”. The rest of the minor enemies load the artifact and their statued comrade onto a cart and haul it away, and no, there is no explanation why it only affected the first person and not the rest.
Cut back to our landing site where it’s revealed the women I’ve been traveling with are part of a Super Sentai/Power Rangers group of about 20 women who they meet up with upon landing to face off against the major monster seen earlier. They wear body suits similar to Power Rangers, but do not wear helmets. He taunts them and they rush in. I, having somehow observed the previous setup scene, immediately realize this is a bad idea and see the crowd of women rushing the foe stop and run into their teammates ahead of them. The ones in the back block the view of the action and myself and the people I was traveling with begin to run away.
After we put some distance between us and the scene, I suddenly remember “actually, I like seeing women turned into statues” so I turn around and see the crowd of women is now almost entirely bronze statues save for one. One in the back who for some reason is in more of a princess dress turns and tries to run towards me but it is too late: a wave of bronze very quickly rises through her feet to her head and she topples forward as the transformation completes.
At this point, we shift back to TV mode as the scene cross fades: I’m viewing the same scene from the same angle, but some time later as all of the women are now arranged around as trophies instead of bunched together in a group. Despite the fact that their clothes transformed with them, however, they are now wearing brightly colored super heroish clothes and masks around their eyes, something which none of them were wearing previously. Somehow, my brain becomes distinctly aware this is a TV show with low production values hence the screw up. My brain also points out that my dreams are apparently pretty decent at recreating these cheap TV effects (the monster of the week looks rubbery much like it would on the actual show), at which point I do a double take and go “Oh right, this is a dream” and I wake up.
This dream is welrdly notable as it’s the second time I’ve had an ASFR themed dream involving a Super Sentai team despite the fact I absolutely never watch those shows. The first featured a Monster of the Week who froze people in place when it took a photo of them and featured me debating whether to succumb to the photo abilities as the last one standing or save the day. I ended up befriending the monster and saving my comrades, but successfully convinced the monster to take a photo of me for fun to experiment with it. Both dreams featured TV-showish effects: the statues in last night’s dream didn’t quite 100% look like their live action counterparts, looking more like props whipped up to look somewhat like the “actresses”. I actually kind of appreciate this because it made them look more like objects.

Escape 1.1 - Q&A
I hope you’re all enjoying the latest release of Escape! I’m bored and I’ve been asked the same few questions several times, so here’s some answers to some common questions I’ve heard about the game.
When I turn into a statue thanks to a gorgon in midair near a wall, the pieces of the statue start flying upward. What’s the deal with that?
The deal with that is that I suck at collision detection. The actual deal with that is that it’s a bug I’ve known about since implementing that feature, but have been scared to fix as it involves changing some collision detection code that affects a ton of different objects in the game. I may try to fix it at some point, but given I’m handling this project for free in my spare time, I’ve been more focused on just delivering the overall product first and foremost over more cosmetic bugs.
Why does controlling Amy feel slippery? I let go of the controls and she slides off of a platform.
There is actually a light momentum system in play. Amy doesn’t accelerate to full speed when you press the button to go, and she doesn’t instantly stop the moment you let go of the controls. Most platformers handle like this as having instant responsiveness makes everything feel too touchy. I think the problem with the game as it currently is however is that the acceleration/deceleration is too fast to be truly noticeable but too slow to feel responsive. Seeing as how you, hypothetical questioner, are not the first nor the second nor the third person to point this out, it’s clear I done goofed. As such, the next version of the game will feature tighter controls. Before, Amy accelerated and decelerated at the same rate: on the ground she’d reach top speed in 0.1 seconds and go from top speed to stopped in 0.1 seconds (In air, it’s slightly slower at 0.15 seconds). In the next version, she still accelerates at that same rate, but decelerates in half the time. This makes things like moving her just a bit to the edge of a platform or stopping on a tiny platform much easier.
Why does Stage 1-4: Don’t Look Back make me wish I were dead?
This stage seems to commonly be mentioned as a particularly annoying stage, and it’s kind of by design. Admittedly, in a normal game I wouldn’t throw something this tough at you early on but given my goal was to swap out level themes every few worlds, I sort of had to use obstacles more deviously quicker. With that being said, I think this level in particular is irritating for some players because it requires you to really think about what you’re doing and go slower than you’d normally go in a platformer. I actually didn’t make too many adjustments with the most recent update precisely because I believe if you take it slow, you shouldn’t have problems with it.
The game in general is too hard.
I will say I’m having a hard time balancing the difficulty of this game compared to say balancing a level in Mario Maker because it’s a fetish game. Sometimes I think of a trap or scenario which is devilish and plays into a neat fetish scenario so I’ll throw it into the game, but as far as “First world in a video game” goes, said trap is way too mean to throw that early in a normal game. With that being said, check the info page and if you’re running Release 1.0, download Release 1.1 as I did try to make the game easier and I’ll continue to try to balance it as necessary.
Where is the blue switch in Stage 1-9?

I won’t say for sure, but my clue would be if you notice a cockatrice coming out of its pen in a weird way, you might want to investigate.

Where are the sound effects?
I couldn’t find good free sound effects for everything and rather than having some things have sound and other things not, I just opted for nothing having sound. That may change due to an upcoming hazard though in a later update.
When can we expect the next update?
I don’t know. The holiday season is coming up and I do want to work on non asfr stuff from time to time. I mean, no offense, but this is a free and time consuming project that I can’t really show to anybody I know in real life and that kind of stinks.
So you’re abandoning it.
No, not at the moment. Progress may be slower is all I’m saying. The good news is this time it’s in a real engine so picking it up and working on it again will be much easier and more possible than it was when I was using my own engine built on an already outdated framework.

Escape Release 1.1 is now here!
Yes, already. Release 1.1 attempts to rebalance the difficulty of the game in various ways. I’ll get into more specific information in a bit, but the general gist is that many levels have been tweaked to require a bit less precision and more checkpoints have been added. There’s also a skip level feature which you can find on the pause menu after you’ve died several times on the same level. This will let players who may not be great at platforming see a lot of what the game has to offer without stressing too much. However, you’ll still need skills to find the secret levels as you won’t be able to reach them via the skip option.
Fixes and Enhancements
Skip Stage button now added. It appears on the pause menu after you’ve died several times in a stage.
Fixed a graphical issue with the obituary text on the game over screens: if it seemed a bit blurry before it should look more clear to you now.

One jump has been tweaked to avoid issues with the player accidentally jumping up into the sight of gorgons meant as a pitfall for a later trap.
A few gorgon heads have been moved or removed to be more lenient.
The moving platform challenges have all been made easier to give the player more time to react.
Stage 1-4
Some goo has been removed in the early part of the stage to make the level less demanding out of the gate.
Misleading platforms have been adjusted to be slightly less devious.
A couple of platforms have been widened to make precision less required.
A checkpoint has been added near the end of the stage to make failing on the secret path less harsh.
Stage 1-5
Lots of goo has been removed to make the focus more on paying attention to pedestals.
There’s less height variation among the pedestals to make it slightly easier to tell if one is trapped at a glance.
The moving platform midway through the level now pauses to give more time to jump at the end.
The first checkpoint has been moved to earlier in the level and a checkpoint was added near the end.
Stage 1-6
The first checkpoint has been moved to earlier in the stage and a second checkpoint was added prior to the final checkpoint.
Any trap that required jumping and flipping around in midair to avoid a gorgon on the way down has been removed.
The final fall was made slightly longer to give more time to react and more visual clues were added.
Stage 1-7
No changes
Stage 1-8
The red switch block platforms in the large room with the moving platforms moving around the perimeter have been adjusted to make timing and executing a specific jump easier.
A checkpoint was added after the aforementioned room.
Stage 1-9
Some goo, gold pedestals, and gorgon heads were removed to make paying attention to the environment slightly less important.
A certain spot was reworked which will hopefully make the location of the secret switch more obvious.
Two checkpoints were added after a couple of the more time consuming portions of the level to help avoid frustration.
Stage 1-10
Moved some switches and switch blocks near the end of the stage to hopefully make it slightly easier to parse what you should and should not do.

Escape Release 1.0 is now here!
Escape is a 2D Plaformer focused mostly on the Inanimate Transformation fetish. This is the third iteration of this adventure, the previous two having been lost to outdated software and my own disinterest. However, I’ve rebuilt the game in a real engine this time, so hopefully everything works! Just download and extract the zip file and you should be able to start!
This release contains the first area of the game, the Stone Gallery. There’s 10 standard levels based on ideas seen in previous iterations of Escape, but now there’s also 2 more secret levels each containing their own new perils. These effectively replace the gallery pieces of the previous version since those were a major contributing factor to me dropping the game. Check the info screen from the main menu for details.
If you wish to find your save file, check the info screen for the file path. This save should carry over to the next version of the game so be careful with it.
There’s still a number of bugs and issues with this release (namely, I think it’s still too hard), so let me know which ones you find and I’ll keep a running tally.

Here’s another preview of Escape running in Unity. This video shows Stage 1-9 which I feel shows off how adding new mechanics such as moving platforms makes the gameplay a bit more interesting. There’s also a tease of something special I’m adding for one of the hidden levels in this episode. My goal is to have the first portion of the game with The Stone Gallery out before Christmas.

Sorry for those eagerly looking forward to updates after my last video update showing Escape being made in Unity as I’ll likely be having less updates now. I haven’t stopped working on it completely, but due to a sale on Playstation VR games, I’ve been preoccupied with gaming and with Super Mario Odyssey lurking just around the corner, that’ll probably be continuing. So, if I go more inactive for some time, you know why.
