Reaching behind the counter she brought out a small black wine bag with a silver tag neatly written on in almost calligraphic handwriting. ‘Happy Birthday Mr Yoshikage, I hope you have a lovely day’ “I hope you don’t find it too rude of me. Since we are only Acquaintances...a-anyway! What can I get for you today!”

She’d been working the wine counter for just over 8 months, and every so often a customer that she was able to hold a polite conversation with. Mr Yoshikage had always been polite, so from her own money she’d purchased a vintage bottle of Pinot Noir and a birthday card. It was the least she could do, especially since she’d seen his birth date on his identity card. Jolyne served other customers as she waited for him to come in for his usual order.

January 30th, the one day Kira allowed himself to indulge in what he normally wouldn’t have. The day started off as it usually does; wake up, morning routine, listen to the radio report of another missing woman, straighten tie one last time, then out the door to work. Someone figured out what today was at the office, word spread, and for the duration of the day he received birthday wishes. Afterwards, when offered to be taken out for a drink, he politely declined, saying that he wanted to spend the evening with his beloved and a shared home cooked meal.

And so he drove to his favorite wine counter, as he was craving pan-seared filet of sirloin with red wine sauce, and he was in need of more red wine.

“Good evening, Ms. Cujoh. How was your day today?”

Jolyne had a basic life, typical to a fault. Her dad always away on his marine biologist job; a call once a week if she was lucky. Otherwise months on end.

She worked a job as a barhand in a sinkhole of an establishment where the scum of the earth gathered to rot. The apartment building was at least pretty quiet apart from her that is. Usually with her music loud enough as well as her yelling down the phone at her dad.

It was an Ordinary life.

But her life was shaken by the foundations as she met her new neighbour. It was a brief meeting. Him almost kicking her door down to get her to turn her music down. She confused and excited.

Jolyne was dressed in her pajamas a very flattering set of over fluffy pieces with unicorn decals.

“…I wasn’t talkin’ about doin’ it in public but okay…” The cowboy muttered to himself as he took his hat from the counter, adjusting his vest and his pants before walking to her. He offered his arm to his coworker followed with a smirk as they exited the place and headed to the nearest bar.

“Ya gonna need to calm down a little since it would be mighty unfortunate they kick us out ‘cause we were bein’ inappropriate.” He confessed with a soft chuckle. “So how about takin’ it slow fer now?”

Morioh's convenience store proved to be a decent distraction for Jotaro's daughter. Her nice nature got the best of her as she gestured to each different sandwich that she enjoyed.

"Personally my favourites are the Chicken salad and the Red bean paste. If you like I could make a sampler for you?" She asked with a smile
