Proper disposal of waste is important to avoid pollution of air, land, and water sources. Disposal must be done to avoid harming the environment or causing harm to human health. Waste should never be disposed down sinks, drains, lavatories, ditches, near wildlife habitats or ponds. Products for disposal should not be mixed together and containers should be clearly labeled. Separate materials into biodegradable and non-biodegradable.
