         Reemerging from unconsciousness was never fun, but perhaps the worst way to re-enter the realm of the alive and sprightly was following the consumption of ( what his healer liked to refer to as ) ‘corrupted blood’. Which he thought was a pretty bold statement, coming from a witch.

It was always warm here, too, with a sickeningly pleasant view off of the coast of Italy. He’d never paid the exact location much attention, only that Palermo was not too far from the upper highlands that Althea occupied. Curse this place - he just wanted to be back in Paris.

Shifting so that he was now upright, he was overwhelmed overwhelmed with nausea, an alleged side-effect of whatever concoction she forced down his throat; he could swear that she made sure he felt worse every time he ended up back here, perhaps a ploy to discourage his disruptive behaviour. Well, he thought, she’d better try harder.

         His gaze scanned the room - if such a humble shack could be afforded that title - and they found something else familiar: a face.   “ When is she planning on allowing me home? ”

orga wished it was this boy’s brother that often wound up under althea’s care. but that would require baltasar to be an insufferable brat who couldn’t stop doing himself avoidable harm and, unfortunately, that simply wasn’t the case, much to the giant’s disapproval.

he was a professional, though, a man that didn’t allow his negative thoughts and emotions to get a hold of his behaviour or expression. instead, he cast a painfully passive look in the other man’s direction, broad arms folded over his even broader chest.

“I don’t know, kid, you’ll have to go speak to her - like a polite guest.”  after all, if there was one thing that orga didn’t tolerate, it was people being rude to the woman he owed his new-found life to.  “she’ll have a better idea than I do.”

      Tall friends could often be a bitter reminder of her lacking vertical prowess. Honestly, how could anyone expect her to feel and be intimidating when she was surrounded by such gigantic people?

To be so easily swept up and relocated was another thing Hisui took great offence to. Or she would have done, had it been anyone else but him. Orga  –  though agonisingly tall and almost as broad  –   was a well-respected and equally as trusted member of the Sabertooth guild, a particular favourite of the Fiore family when it came to avoiding drama. He handled difficult situations with an ease of emotion that very few others possessed, especially in a guild that  –  in spite of it’s many perks  –  had a lot of issues with ego and power.

            “ Thank you, Orga-san, ”  Rescued from the bustling crowds of curious city folk, the Princess and her guard took shelter in one of the local Inns until the numbers dispersed enough for them to move on. Her people’s enthusiasm was great indeed  –  sometimes just a little too great. Hisui warmly smiled at her saviour.   “ There are many more people than I had anticipated…I don’t know what I would have done without you. ”

Hey look, Aleks finally figured out Orga’s SNB verse:

Standing out from the crowd isn’t always advantageous.

At least, not when you’re a millennium-old giant.

Due to the persecution of all-things-inhuman taking place for the majority of his time on Earth, Orga spent most of his time working on remote farms and forestries, places he could hide from humanity’s fear and wrath. His existence was often a lonely one, with his employers seldom wanting anything to do with him besides his work, and when a witch happened upon him, he had expected much the same treatment.

However, you don’t go hundreds of years without learning the landscape you occupy, and his knowledge of local landscapes, flora and fauna was of such great help to the witch that she in turn wished to help him. After a few years, she returned to his home with a spell - a spell that worked.

Now half his original size, he is merely viewed as an oddity, rather than something completely out of the ordinary. He was finally able to join ‘normal’ society but, in spite of this new opportunity, he decided he didn’t want too much to do with humans. Instead, he followed the witch’s European ‘retreat’ - a sanctuary of healing for all and any, at which he still works today.

Though she would not admit it to any of the other mages on guard duty for Sabertooth, Orga was perhaps one of her favourite protectors and chaperones. Sure, he might not possess the quick wit and sharp tongue that most of them chose to develop and wield, but he was a powerful man with interesting tales to tell.

( Having such an immense human being with an intimidating build and presence at her side was also a bonus, but that was besides the point. )

Oftentimes, suitors would have to sit aside and wait begrudgingly as Orga told stories of his travels and misadventures, completely powerless as the young Princess’ attention was held by what many of them would consider a lowly mage not worthy of her (or their) time. Yes, it had caused some frustration…but Hisui had decided long ago that she didn’t care.

       “ Well, of course…but what happened after you caught him? Did you find Lady Flora’s belongings? ” Pale green eyes were alight with curiosity as she listened to her friend, taking no notice of the sulking nobleman at her side. “ Where were they hidden? ”

Orga vs. Laxus vs. Jura: slight changes.

As per the norm, I am here to change what little of Orga’s canon appearance actually exists~.

In the canon storyline, Orga - a damn God Slayer - is one-shotted by Jura. Now, don’t get me wrong, Jura is far stronger than Orga is, especially when my headcanon that Orga started his magical training far later than most is considered. However, I’m not okay with him being immediately knocked on his ass with one blow.

Orga is a member of Sabertooth, and from what I can gather  (seeing as they were referred to as ‘the strongest five’) he’s among their equivalent of S-Class mages, just like Laxus. Sabertooth didn’t take him on without reason to believe he was strong as hell, and his movement up the rankings of the wizards in that guild would  not have been easy. It was cut-throat hard work, and not possible without immense power. He is not going to be knocked down in one blow. He puts up a decent fight. He still loses to Jura. Just not as easily. It wasn’t as simple as it was in manga canon, and not just for the sake of immediately disposing of his character so that they could feature Laxus’ battle.

He’s a God Slayer and…just, no. No.

DEATHLESS SENTENCE STARTERS - accepting !!

A fond smile took to her lips as she heard his voice from the corridor. He really was a pain in the ass. Had he not been the one away, often for months at a time, on long-haul missions? She had simply worked a late shift, and here he was complaining.

          “ I could’ve said the same for you! ”

Slinging the long, white medical jacket over the hook on her apartment door frame and turning the key in the latch, she was admittedly struggling to keep the giddy excitement from infecting her outward behaviour. Much as she often complained about him, Thea really did adore her partner, and the house without him was never the home it was when he stopped by between missions. She had missed him. Thoroughly.

After sorting out the rest of her workplace belongings, she made her leisurely way into the lounge in which he was waiting, though not without quickly straightening out her appearance in the hallway mirror. Adjusting to the low light, brown eyes strained as they assessed the injuries he had brought home on this occasion. Work never did truly end for a woman like her, but to a workaholic, that was often a good thing.

After a few long seconds passed, there was a slow nod of the head, an indication that she wasn’t concerned about his state. And, after a few seconds more, that soft smile split apart to reveal a mischievous grin.

      “ You don’t look completely awful, for once. But we’d still better hop in the shower and get you cleaned up~. ”
