New headcanon of mine: Choi Jongin and Baek Yoonho are both 34 and were born in the same year but still have the same birthdays I headcanoned before

Choi Jongin: January 26th

Baek Yoonho: October 36th

So this scenario works in my favor too. Yoonho would definitely do that, and Jongin would be weak too it :3c

Choibaek headcanon :

I feel like Yoonho calling Jongin “hyung” after they get together would be a cheat code. They only have a year age-gap but they were all “guildmaster Choi” this, “guildmaster Baek” that before. I mean they were like equals? They both being s-ranks and all. Now Yoonho knows exactly how to use it to make Jongin react, whether it’s to get his attention, challenge him, or make him stop overworking.

When his stubborn hyung won’t listen, Yoonho just physically restrains him. Arms wrapped around his waist from behind, pulling him in close, Yoonho’s voice is soft but demanding: “Now stop working, will you, hyung?” And it will work.

Okay hear me out 😭 I saw manawari's post a while back saying that Choi Jongin was an office worker before he awakened — and apparently fire had always been tied to his misfortunes. And that got me thinking… what if he and Baek Yoonho had crossed paths years ago (like, more than ten years)? Like, what if Jongin had been rescued by firefighter!Baek Yoonho back then?

That moment of gratitude quietly blooms into admiration. And then later, Jongin watches from afar as Yoonho becomes a hunter too (which is your headcanon 😉), and the admiration only grows. Oh boy, the yearning potential… it’s so delicious I can’t stop thinking about it.

But yeah, I actually had this same thought too sldkfnsdlf I decided not to go with it for my main AU, but in the event of the time reversal (something I don't think about much because I'm not a huge fan of it), I do think it would happen

As for an AU where firefighter Yoonho does save Jongin, Jongin would absolutely be watching Yoonho in admiration from the day Yoonho saved him. I do like to think that Jongin fell in love first, maybe even when they first met (love at first sight), but they had a rocky first meeting (that I really need to write but I keep getting more ideas and less time to work on them—), so Jongin just pines for afar. Wanting to be closer but not wanting to ruin what they already have

Yoonho isn't. Completely oblivious to it. He knows Jongin treats him differently than other hunters, including other S-Ranks. But Jongin teasing him doesn’t make Yoonho assume it’s because Jongin has feelings for him (because everyone teases Yoonho, I mean, look at him—). And Yoonho isn’t exactly actively looking for a romantic relationship, so he doesn’t think about it much more until.
