I’ve been Final Fantasy A Realm Reborn a lot and I wanted to doodle my main, Z’kuza, aka Zuzu Fisticuffs. He’s a Miqo’te, for those who don’t know, the cat people race in the game. They’re not as bulky or hairy, but I imagine him as this super tough guy type reminiscent of Wolverine from the X-men. Plus what’s a cat without fur? (Even Sphinxes have baby fuzz!) This one was a real struggle, but I need to post stuff relatively frequently if I want to reach my art goals. Hopefully I’ll keep getting better as time goes on. There will also probably be more of this guy in the future.

I just started playing Final Fantasy 14, the MMO, and I have to say it’s quite fun so far. I might even pay for a month or two to play the full version! Anyway, I remembered my love of Fran from FF 12 and came on the idea of playing as a boy viera. Of course, I can’t sit around waiting for the devs to put them in the game, and I’m not really expecting them to, if I’m honest. So I pulled out my tablet and scribbled this mess! It was supposed to be a 15 minute warm up, but I ended up over working it T_T.. Ah wells. I’m trying to figure out a name for him. I’m thinking something like “Fjor” (pronounced fee-yor) or “Ceno” to stick with the four letter exotic sounding themes of the FF 12 viera. We’ll see.

I want to start creating a web presence for myself and try to break out of this rut I’m in. I have a few plans for the next year and would like to work to see them accomplished. I’ve been obsessed with Guild Wars again since the newest expansion came out and figured, hey! Why not use that as a muse! And it starts with this little guy, Barykk, my guardian. He was originally a warrior, but I figured this class fit him best, for a myriad of reasons. I did a turnaround to figure out how to draw his anatomy and armor, and I thought it would make a good first post for my little blog. I’ll be showing more of him in the future, that’s for sure.
