Oh, rather intruiging. It vastly depends on my state of mind.⋆.˚𖦹⋆✮⋆.˚

The more mentally wrong I feel, the more human I am.‧₊˚✩彡

Depression, Dysphoria, Dissociation, Selfharm, Panic, Apathy, Mental Agony..

It all feels so inherently human to me. In it's most raw, and direct way.✶⋆.˚

And despite the negative implications - I enjoy feeling human in the most unfortunate way. Because it proves to myself, that humankind may have 'superior' intelligence, thinking so high and mighty. But have unlocked an entirely new messed up branch of problems. Unique problems. Life is so interesting.₊˚.⋆☾⋆⁺₊✧

While I cannot relate to your experience - I do not think it is fair to yourself to question wether you are 'real alterhuman'.⋆｡𖦹˚.★

Of course there is the normative definition of alterhumanity, and I supoose also therianthropie, but experiences still vastly differ.✩࿐

I, for example, do not experience phantom shifts, my knowledge about my alterhumanity stems from visions, that could just as well be defined as dissociation and I often forget that this is part of my identity (probably also due to dissociation).*ੈ✩‧₊˚

Does this make me less alterhuman?⋆.˚𖦹

I don't think so - and why is that?

I’m Changing Again

TLDR: My internal form/kintype changes over time. I’m becoming more otherkin than therian, and I’m kind of sad to lose a piece of my identity as my ‘type is replaced. I haven’t seen any others whose ‘type changes, so I wonder who else is out there.

Since about four years ago, when I look inside myself, I see something not human. First it was my first fursona. I would always be them in my inner world. Then it was a goblin. I don’t exactly remember when I became this. After that I remember my traits slowly becoming more animal. My long ears became more fox or bat like, I got a tail, my nose lengthened. All until I was now entirely an animal.

Then I discovered therianthropy. My nonhuman form and urges matched up with others experiences. I knew I had more so matched up with otherkin in the past, but I decided to fully adopt the label.

Now I’m changing again. I can often feel wings on my back or talons instead of hands. When I go into my inner world I look like a bird-person sometimes, while other times I’m an animal headed person. It’s becoming rarer that I’m full animal. I have the urge to fly, but all my other animal urges haven’t changed.

I think that I may leave the therian label behind because bird-person isn’t an animal. I feel kind of sad to be leaving this part of me behind, but I am curious about what the future holds.

The other thing that this caused is confusion. I once saw a discussion on a forum about if someone’s therio/kintype can change. It was widely agreed that no, it cannot. Where does that leave me? Am I not a real alterhuman? I know I am, but I haven’t heard of others like me. Where are you other shapeshifters?

I have experienced a similiar phenomena - I had these visions of me returning to my home beyond the stars after I decay - I was just so very unsure of what exactly I was.⋆｡𖦹˚.★

Where do you find the little book cut out image thingys for your moodboards?

You must know my secrets? Very well‧₊˚✩

In the beginning I simply took them from Pinterest, typing in [theme] quote - then I cut them out⋆.˚𖦹⋆✮⋆.˚

This started to be rather unsatisfactory - I often could not find what I was looking for. I wrote the quotes myself for the later Moodboards, and made them appear as book cutouts, I will explain how under the cut^^𐙚⊹₊⋆☆
