In my story, Mary sue got pregnant before she went to collage and she choose she wasn't ready for children. So denial took custody of them in his early twenties raising both his girls as a single dad until meeting Darleen.

After meeting Darleen the love grew quickly from taking all the kids to the park when they were young. Darren was always away choosing his painting over dirk and Darleen. Also recently cheating on her with her close friend cassie. She kicked Darren out with the idea for it to be a break not a full separation. Until, she spent more time with Danial.

Darren yelled at Darleen for cheating but he also secretly moved into a house with a ex girlfriend.

Darren also had a one night stand with Darleen's sister <3
