Pokémon GO Day at the Library!

Teens: You're invited to one last hurrah before school starts... Monday, 8/29, is Pokémon GO Day! Head to the Teen Department to grab a Pokédex and go on a scavenger hunt throughout the Library. Which wild Pokémon will you find? Record and submit your sightings between 11 am and 4 pm and win prizes (while supplies last)!

Also: - Grab some Pokémon coloring pages and color away! - Check out Pokémon 3D printing in the uCreate Space. - Pokémon GO players: Did you know that the Library is a pokéstop? We'll be dropping a lure every half hour between 11 am and 4 pm. Stock up on items and see what you can catch. Then, take on one of the area gyms! - Get your picture taken with Pikachu! Share your pikapic on social media with the hashtag #StratLibStop and we'll feature our faves! - The celebration concludes with pokécake in the Lobby at 4 pm.

Teen Tuesday: Movie Night

Teens: Get ready for “the greatest gladiator match in the history of the world: God versus man; day versus night; Son of Krypton versus Bat of Gotham!” We’re showing the epic, newly released Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice from 5 to 8 pm tonight in the Lovell Room! Bring friends, cool off, and enjoy! (*Superhero costumes are welcome.)

Meet one-on-one with representatives from a variety of agencies, businesses and schools including: the American Institute of Healthcare & Technology, Lincoln Tech, Porter and Chester Institute, Gateway Community College, Housatonic Community College, The Milford Bank, Stratford Community Services, Stratford Continuing Education, Stratford EMS, Stratford Fire Department, Stratford Police Department, YouthWorks and the U.S. Army!

This program is free and open to everyone. The first 25 participants will receive a free 2GB Stratford Library flash drive!
