Kang Dae smiled in response. "Ah, well.. thanks."

At the offer, Kang Dae looked at him with a suprised and asked, "Oh. Uh, well ok! Sure, I-I'll come with you."

The boy loved the idea of going someplace warmer since he was starting to get a little chilly..

With a nod, he got up on his feet and dusted himself off. "So, uh, what's your name..?" He asked, still feeling kind of awkward. He just never talked to a quadrupedal animal that can actually talk back before.

It was just a normal day in Canis Springs. It was a chilly winter one, but still a normal day.

Lightning was going for a run down the road, trying to build up endurance. It had been a while since he’d gone on an endurance run, and he figured now was a good time to do it.

As he went along, McQueen saw something very strange: a bipedal animal of some kind.

Slowing to a trot and then a standstill, Lightning paused, just watching the animal for a bit. He’s never seen anything walk on two legs before… well, actually, he had. Chickens.

But nothing that could talk.

“Uh… s’cuse me!” the husky called to him, “a-are you ok?”

Kang Dae blinked as well when the dog asked if he was okay and if he was good. The boy kinda felt a little embarrassed for not acknowledging the first time the dog asked it.

"Uh, truthfully, no." A frown started to develop across the boy's face. "I... have no idea where I am."

Kang Dae starts to slowly get up from the spot he was laying at and stretchs a little bit. He finally takes a good look of his surroundings.

It looked like he was near, possibly in, a dessert environment. That.. did not make him feel better. This had to be far, far away from his home.

"Where am I....?" He mutters quietly.

He then hears the dog ask something, if he needed anything. He turns to the dog and hesitantly says, "Well, is it okay if you can tell me where I am.. exactly...?

Kang Dae had no idea how he ended up here.

Literally a moment ago, he was taking a walk down the street through Seoul, then the next one, he somehow woke up here. He didn't even remember falling unconcious in any way!!

Did he get kidnapped or something? Or got hit by a car? Why can't he remember anything!?

Not wanting to panic or anything, the boy starts to take deep breaths. Breath in. Hold it for six seconds. Then breath out. Now, repea-

He then hears a voice. He turns to see who it was and sees a quadrupedal dog in front of him. He had wore a red collar and had a worry look in his blue eyes.

Kang Dae couldn't muster up a good enough sentenced and let out a "...... huh?"

Kang-Dae gave a kind smile to the dog and followed him inside. The boy took a look around. The place looks simple yet nice. There were only a few people at the tables, enjoying their meals.

He then turned to the jack russell terrior, who thanked him for helping him out. The dog introduced himself as Max.

"Nice to meet you, Max. My name's Kang-Dae." Kang-Dae shook Max's hand.

Don't be alarmed but there's someone following you. Pretend you know me and come with me. I'll take you somewhere safe.

“What?!” Max almost looked back, but he didn’t. Instead, he looked up at Kang-Dae in fear. “Who?!” he whispered.

Kang-Dae gave a kind smile to the jack russell terrior's response. He saw him glance behind him a little before asking him to the diner. "Sure!" Kang-Dae replied with a chuckle. "I'm starving!"

Kang Dae gave him a friendly smile and gladly played along. "Oh, I'm doing good right now. And my family is doing well, too. My older brother just got a college application."

Kang Dae looked behind the jack russell terrior to see who was the creep. Since it was shadowy and dark, he couldn't exactly see them. He could make out the shape though, which seems to be a bigger dog.

"I don't know," the tiger mix-breed finally answered. "I can't really seem their exact features but don't worry. Pretend we're having conversation like we're regular friends."

When the puppy, who was now called Charlie, asked Kang-Dae if he can come with him to the park with the him, he replied with a smile, "Sure! I have nothing else to do at the moment, so why not?"

Charlie studied the sandwich half for a moment- and then hungrily wolfed it down. Licking his lips, he sat up and wagged his tail. “Thanks! I was hungry.”

“My name is Charlie. What’s yours?”

Kang-Dae watched as the puppy hungrily wolfed down the sandwich, chuckling. The puppy must have been starving. As soon as the word "starving" came to his mind, he started to wonder, where is the pup's parents? Did he came out here all alone, or was he an orphan-

The teenager's train of thought stopped when the puppy finished his lunch and thanked him. "You're welcome, buddy!" Kang-Dae replied with a friendly smile.

The pup said his name was Charlie, and asked him for his. "Oh, well my name's Kang-Dae. It's a pleasure to meet you, Charlie!"
