I appreciate the point of that post about how sci-fi and fantasy tend to make their racism allegory people actually magically dangerous to the people who are racist against them, and how that can break the allegory, but it's certainly the case in the real world that people are racist to other people because of some (real or imagined) past action done by past members of that other group. People do hold ancestral grudges like that. Sometimes those past atrocities are fake, sometimes they're real; neither case justifies current discrimination against their descendants. The thing that breaks the analogy is the outgroup having cool magic powers right now, not the fact that they were associated with a past danger. That part is pretty true-to-life.
