I love fanfic and all (and I’m not trying to be mean by saying this, ppl can write/read whatever they want) but sometimes I find it confusing why ppl don’t write original characters

Like I recently read fairy fanfic and it was kpop fanfic (I don’t even listen to kpop but I liked the story) and I’m like girl you can just make the story and give the characters random names and it’ll the same thing.

Idk I feel like it’s bc I often read fanfic of things I’m not even a fan of
