I would honestly say things are way less dire than how they were when Cranky and the other bad actors left the team :O People who had left the team previously due to conditions have rejoined, and they're updating and rebuilding things (like we got a tease at updated lawbot animations and rigs today!) I think the fandom just feels "died out" due to Deltarune coming out! (just from what i've noticed! not trying to be argumentative, i do think things are slowed down for a while, but that usually happens when a team needs to recuperate after stuff! TTCC came back stronger after project Altis, I'm confident it can come back again!)

Yea thats def understandable, i didnt even consider deltarune’s release !

I’m hoping for a comeback and improvement, and obv bad management leaving should make room for that :]

not to be a negative nancy but i just had some thoughts

does anyone else feel a little sad or melancholy when it comes to TTCC? like, i really enjoy the game and the characters, but im also sorta disappointed in the execution of some otherwise great ideas

namely the manager cogs, my favorite aspect of TTCC. i rlly love these characters so much, but i feel they're at their peak when existing on their own, but falter when it comes to fitting them into the actual narrative

i love these characters and how they interact with one another, and the potential idea of how they each work under a corrupt society. i think there are so many good ideas to explore, like misty struggling to fit in, flint's anxiety affecting him in the workplace, cathal being a nepo baby, graham overworking himself, and SM more

these are all interesting topics that happen in the real world to people working under a capitalist society, and theyd be so cool to explore, and i think TTCC wants to do that but the execution has failed bc the story is moreso about toons vs cogs, and these ideas put a ton of focus on cogs and push the toons out of the spotlight

lots of this has been discussed before, its nothing new, but lately ig ive just felt this sadness with it. mourning the potential of these ideas

its not like theyll never get carried out, ttcc is still being worked on, but things are just looking dire especially with the whole Sheriff Cranky situation

itd just be nice if these characters were part of a project where their stories could flourish much more naturally rather than being slapped onto pre-existing media to, let's be honest, attract a bigger fanbase. like, these characters often feel like they were simply created to appease a fandom instead of being made for the story.

also it feels like the fandom has kinda died out? ive seen a lot less art and overall media being created for TTCC, and i am a part of that since my fixation just lessened overtime. that said, i still rlly like these characters, graham remains my favorite character of all time. i like TTCC as a whole, but its definitely got flaws that halt these characters from thriving imo
