Come here. Bring all of you. Your doubts, your worries, your insecurities, your highest goals, your brightest dreams, your darkest fears. Come lay your body on mine. Put your face in my neck and wrap your legs around mine. Entangle me in your love and affection. Sleep on me. Let me familiarize myself with the sound of your heart beating. Let my breaths match up with the beats of your heart. Hold me all night long. Wake up me in the middle of the night with kisses because you couldn’t sleep. Let me fall asleep to the sounds of you sleeping. Jump on me in the morning to wake up me laughing because you couldn’t wait to talk to me any longer. Lay in my arms and talk to me until all hours of the night about the universe, everything and nothing. Just come here.

As I get older the more I appreciate straight forward people. Like if you’re mad at me I will respect you if you tell me. I don’t understand adults that would rather stomp their feet and use passive aggressive behavior to communicate. Life does not have to be this difficult fam

Listen, if you are struggling with feeling bad about your weight or loving your body or feeling good about how you look, here’s what’s up: you are worthy of all the love in the world. You are not the sum of your physical parts. Your body doesn’t define you. Anyone who would make you believe different is lying to you. And that voice in your head that tells you that you’re only deserving of love or that you’ll only be happy if you lose that weight or if your skin clears up or if you fix your hair is lying most of all. You deserve happiness and love and the excitement of life NOW. If you can’t hear over all those voices, I’ll remind you. You are so worth everything. I love you.

My mind: don’t be clingy. Don’t be clingy. Don’t be clingy. Don’t be clingy. Don’t be clingy. Don’t be clingy. Don’t be clingy. Don’t be clingy. Don’t be clingy. Don’t be clingy. Don’t be clingy. Don’t be clingy.
Me: clingy

Gymnastics has come a long compared to that old footage, but this difference is particularly significant for black girls! Because they have never taken seriously our abilities! Just because the color of our skin is not what they want to see!
Simone Biles’s fantastic performance has been covered by many news outlets all these years! Now we can see the real difference!

If a white person says you sound angry in your native tongue, they’re racist, I use to try to sweet talk / compliment white people in Arabic and they’d always say things like “you sound like you’re about to kill me” or “why are u so angry” like legit it made me feel so bad for saying something sweet in my mother tongue because I rarely got to speak it and people would always love it when a person knew a European language. Stop saying languages of color are agressive and mean. Legit stop that shit

About The Author
Terrence Terrell, raised in Mississippi, displayed an affinity for entertainment at a young age. As a child, he would entertain anyone who would watch and listen. Throughout his teenage years, he was bullied, but coped by turning the negativity into humor. As an adult, Terrell moved out of Mississippi to Los Angeles, California, to pursue a dream of acting and writing.

Obviously, it’s very important to teach black children to love themselves. This literature is extremely useful for today’s generation of schoolchildren. To be honest, I DO like the idea that this book promotes. I want my future children to have access to as many of these books as possible … Watch the video about the author, i mean the analogy with the “the ugly duckling” seems quite accurate.

In all these years, you never believed I loved you. And I did. I did so much. I did love you. I even loved your hate and your hardness.
