Why dazai is and introvert and not an extrovert.

To start off, introverts feel more comfortable focusing on their thoughts and inner ideas, not what’s happening externally.

Introverts also have few extroverted traits along with their introverted ones. We see this with Dazai a lot. I believe that Dazai is a restrained/inhibited introvert.

Restrained/inhabited introverts think before they act, and take longer to take action. Dazai never does anything without planning it all out.

Their introverted ways may change in different settings. It’s not like they will go from introvert to extrovert, more like becoming less introverted depending on what’s happening.

We see this a lot with the ada, I believe he feels comfortable enough around them to act “less introverted.”

We have never really seen Dazai act very social around others people that he doesn’t “know.”

Some people may take their interactions when they first met as a way to classify him as an extrovert. He was in a setting with people he knew and were comfortable with, the ada, that’s most likely why he acted that way with her. It was also for a job.

We have never really seen him act extroverted around people he didn’t know or when he was alone with them.

Some signs of introverts are:

Need quiet to concentrate

Are reflective

Are self-aware

Take time making decisions

Feel comfortable being alone

Have few friendships but are very close with those they knows well

Daydream or use their imaginations to work out problems

Most of these apply to Dazai.

Researchers have also found that introverts have higher blood flow to their frontal lobe than extroverts do. That part of the brain helps you remember things, solve problems, and plan ahead. Dazai does all these things.

And that is why I believe Dazai is an introvert and not an extrovert.

I saw someone say on tik tok that the reason dazai jumped of the building in beast was so chuuya couldn’t save him. Chuuya can protect him against anything BUT gravity. If he were to try to save dazai, Dazai’s ability would stop it
