help a trans disabled jewish person from russia survive!

ruby has been through so much lately--they've gotten out of russia, and are now trying to live on their own as an immigrant in israel. they don't have any family connections or anyone who can help them in real life, and they've been scammed out of money twice this month.

right now they're struggling to pay for food, and they need to pay rent and pay off their abusive mother's debts so they don't lose their bank account/get evicted/get in any legal trouble. they are also very very worried about their cats, since if they lose their home, their cats will be out on the street. they are disabled and traumatized and struggle to work even when not dealing with the logistics and bureaucracy of being an immigrant!

so this post is asking for $500 USD to help ruby cover the month's rent. please help if you can! money goes through ruby's partner jax--please specify it's for ruby in the notes!

please help a disabled trans person !!

things are quickly heading south for me and my partner. i visisted them in an other country and and we lost all of our savings. first off we had unexpected hospital emergencies due to my disabilities getting worse. secondly, in attempt to rescue a dying kitten we were manipulated by a "vet" into spending money on the treatments that did not help and had to take her to another one, the one that said there was nothing we could have done from the beginning bc her mouth was rotten.

a hospital treating me for a cat bite went against national standards for care and charged me $2000 dollars for a rabies shot (which according to the ministry of health should be free and i also intially went to antiboitics and did not consent to it) and threatened me with deportation if we did not pay it within a day, ontop of it our cats have had back to back illnesses which are costing us money. we are currently broke, have no way of paying off our debts, what little money we still had was taken out of my account without my permission from a company that saved my debit card info without my knowledge and i have no way of getting it back. we need help, if you have anything to spare im looking for 300 to clear my debt and have something left for groceries for us and our cats

cw animal abuse and cw animal death

hey, the last time i asked for donations on here before moving to israel you guys have really helped me raise some money, so i feel really bad asking for help again, but don't really have a choice.

my partner and i found a kitten, near death, lying outside of the entrance to our house. i believe she was fighting for her life and trying to get someone to notice her, and everyone was stepping over her. initially we assumed she was fighting off a virus, which could have been anything, even a common cold. we talked to some volunteers and through their instructions kept her alive while driving for two hours to see one of the only two 24/7 vets in the area. we wrapped her in a towel, put a bottle of hot water near her to raise her temperature, tried to give her some water with sugar, but she bit my partner and their hand got swollen and red. here are some images of her.

we took her to the vet and he told us she is fine and is gonna survive and got blind because of herpes. he says it is treatable, we just need to hospitalize her. okay, that is doable, we thought, we just make a payment plan and pay for the duration of the few months. but they were rejecting every credit card that we have and we spend four hours finding all of the money in cash, which currently leaves me and my partner with 19 shekels in my bank account and 10 dollars in their bank account. upon realizing this clinic doesn't really care about animals and just cares about money we go to another one, where we find out that her whole mouth is rotten and there was no way we could actually help her. we find out that the first clinic has been sued multiple times for making people pay for their animals and claiming they are being treated and saved even after their death. currently we are planning on doing something about it, but I can only go into details if you dm me, bc i can't officiate anything right now.

i have the receipts, i have the diagnosis papers, i have videos and like. every proof possible. so you can dm me if you don't believe me!! I'll provide more information and you can decide whether to donate or not, but even $5 dollars is a huge help due to the exchange rate.

currently im 3000 shekels in debt, don't have anything to pay for the apartment or for my partner's plane ticket back home, and have to feed us and two of our cats, so really anything helps.

DOCTOR WHO POSITIVITY DRIVE

Hello everyone! 

Alright, so I recently got the chance to go to Gallifrey One, which was absolutely incredible, but what struck me the most was just how positive the atmosphere was. I went there worrying that there would be a big, obvious divide between people who liked one era and people who liked another - but there wasn’t at all. Everyone was so friendly and nice, and it was such a celebration of the entire show, old and new. And it’s only really hit me now that I’ve come back to the online fandom after that experience that the reason I felt that way was because recently a lot of people seem to be either focusing on the parts of the show that they hate, or hating on other parts of the show to say why the part they like it good. And I’m tired of it - this is a show that tells us to see wonder in the universe and be kind to one another! - and after talking to a few people, I think a lot of folks are. And so I came up with this idea - a positivity drive! 

Here’s how it works: if you want to, make a post about any part of Doctor Who that you like! Maybe it’s a specific era, or a specific character, or maybe multiple different things or just the show as a whole. Whatever you like - and then encourage other people to do the same! It can be as short or as long as you like. There are just a couple of rules:

Rule 1: Don’t be negative about any part of the show in order to say something positive about another part. This is about celebration, remember. 

Rule 2: If someone else posts something for the positivity drive that you disagree with or that you actually really hate about the show - leave them be. Of course, if you want to make your own critical post, I’m not going to stop you, but the last thing I want is for people to start arguments on posts that are meant to be about celebrating the show. We’re all a community of people with different opinions and tastes, and so we like different things! And that’s okay! 

Rule 3: Tag your post with #dw positivity drive so people can find posts and share the love. It’ll also help me because I would like to reblog as many posts as I can! And if you feel like encouraging other folks to join in too, that would be really awesome! I want this to span across as many eras and aspects of the show as possible 

I’ll start everyone off by saying what I like about the show, but I’m going to put it under the cut because otherwise this will get too long. But if people are happy to reblog this and/or share it with folks in other ways, that would be really helpful! I just think it would be amazing if we could recreate that sense of love and joy that I felt at Gallifrey One - because isn’t this what fandom is all about? Sharing joy for the things that we love? I think it should be!
