I do hate, this sort of uptick in people who exclusively read/watch “extreme horror” and gore/torture porn now gatekeeping horror as a genre and what it “means.” Acting like I’m a little cry baby pussy because I have no interest in Terrifier or the rest of the saw franchise or a book where it’s just blending people etc.

I can handle gore, I love a good splatter fest on occasion. I just like this thing called plot and having a point and characters. But oh no I’m the crazy one here… yeah ok.

Fantastic four making me want to get into some of the comics but it’s so intimidating- as everything ever is 616 except when it isn’t but it still is but it’s not. Or you should actually know this arc from 2000 it’s foundational and was two issues only found in Burger King wrappers
