TikTok is a video sharing app that allows you to make 30 seconds to 3 minute of a video.

Why is it popular?

TikTok is easy to use but also this app can be for everyone and is not targeted to specific people, we also see famous celebrity embracing the app and we see well known companies promoting their brand too. 

TikTok Features?

you can upload videos and have the videos be on your feed, you can duet people on there videos and react to them, you can edit you videos and lastly make a lip sync video of any song.

What is good about TikTok?

TikTok is good because you can show any talents just from a short video for example you can show how you did makeup or eve teach people on how to, But also TikTok is a good way to show small business and their products, you can find many opportunities and lastly you can talk to others through TikTok and meet new people.

What is bad about TikTok?

TikTok can be bad because it can be very addictive but can also be time consuming , there can be dangerous trends that go viral but also you can have a video be miss interpreted to something else and lastly the bullying can be brutal because people can make fun of a simple video which can put your confidence down.

Any concerns?

one concern is that people can use your own video and make it as theirs and you wouldn't really know if someone just reuploaded your video to their own account.

What can we use TikTok for retail?

TikTok has helped a lot of small business bow up in mater of days just from a small video this is by showing people what they sell but also how they record the video can make a big difference to business, and on TikTok the use of hashtags are so important because they are the main key to make a video go viral which can help boost sales.

Eventbrite- Event

I went on the online event that I chose which was Practicing Economics, this event was about how the use of Economics can help boost business and how you can use this in your daily life, This event had a guest speaker Sir John Kay he is Britain's leading Economist, For booking this event it was very easy cause all you had to do was to register online and book and it was that simple cause you just had to make an account that's all which was a positive experience. My experience with event went really well even though it was online I still think it was good because I learnt a lot about how Economics work and how you can use it in business but one thing I would say that would have been a better experience was it could of been face to face and would have been easier to ask questions to the guest speaker but over al a really good event.

Facebook is good because you can message people instantly but also you can reconnect with people from the past and stay in touch.

Facebook can be bad because people can make fake accounts but also you can have fake news spread about online and even have people bully others.

one is having accounts be private, another is information being leaked online for example phone number and location on where you live these are the main privacy concerns.

How can we use Facebook  in retailing?

they can promote the product by tagging the post and you can also conduct a survey too but also have influencer promote the product, lastly on Facebook some brands can have customers sign up for free samples through Facebook.

I have had samples of perfume that I signed up that I go to test out but so far I haven't bought anything yet but in the future maybe if something related that i wanted to get then sure I would get it.

Brands that embrace imperfection

one brand that embraces imperfection is Fenty beauty, is by having different shapes and different colour’s of models and not have a stereotypical model that has no acne or just typically has to be “ Perfect”

it makes me feel happy that a brand is changing that up in the beauty world cause I've always seen in beauty ads that the models have the perfect skin and always look flawless but where as this ad you can see these models are not photoshoped and looking unnatural.

I love how you can see from one of the models the gap tooth which is never embraced in todays society which makes it very unique and also how you can see the texture of the skin and you can tell it wasn't edited altogether a good campaign image one thing I would want is more models and different types of skin that makeup can be used on.
